You guys remember the night where we were all mad that they only gave the farwell thing like 2 minutes. Well Here is the story behind that. The guy that produced this video had a 4 minute farwell to Gl but the ppl at the Emmy's told him he could only have a minute and 30 seconds I think. Well here is the actual video that he made. It is so sad I cryed. Tell me what you guys think know!

i just read there is going to be a turn around twist on the soap whatever that means

Where did you read that? And what does that mean? It would be awesome if they decided not to take it off the air after all.

one of the soap mags at the store today that all its was said about it, id don't know if it means to the story on the soap i think guiding light is pretty much over with i read on line that young and restless gotten renewal for 2 years and that as the world turns will be ax sometimes next year as well as days of ours lives.will get the ax to next year.sad to sees it goes and that tvland will start airing guiding light reruns starting may 31 2010.

It is time to start moving soaps to another channel, why not the soap network. I am beginning to panic here, the end of my GL is getting way to close for comfort. I really do feel panic attacks i dont want this soap to go away, this is way too sad, how do you do away with something that worked for the past 72 yrs. CBS and P&G are idiots for cancelling out this soap for what a game show, give me a break,there are way too many of those now a days.

i don't watch CBS or the others networks they don't have any good night time shows on there the last time i watch it was when they had Dallas and rich man poor man on it, now what tick me off there going to move young and restless to 2,00 time slot, and put it in guiding light time slot.

Well there still is a little hope still. On Twitter today he put that he was going to P&G and is going to pitch some idea's to save GL. One of his main idea's he posted on there was to call the show Company. he wants to base it on A couple or something like that everyday. He wantes to put it on the air. He claimed that P&G never really had a say in them canceling gl. They told all the actors to pitch some new idea's. I still have the slighest bit of hope! Let's hope it works!

I remember you from high school. Coming home, tuning in because everyone on the bus was talking about you instead of GH and I wondered what is this Guiding Light. I was drawn in by the tumultuous, crazy, hot and sexy love of Josh and Reva and stayed for the unending real life plots that were spiced up and dramatized for full effect. I will miss all the new and older faces and remember, there once was this Reva, this Josh, this Billy, this HB, this Cassie, this Phillip, this Alexandra, this amazing Guiding Light. Farewell my old friend, farewell.

Hey don't say that! There still is some hope but I'm not counting on it. But I don't want my beloved show to end.

i live in va. near richmond. does anyone know if they will have any kind of special on about the guiding light? i really dont want to miss it if they do. i am crushed that they are taking this beautiful show off. it is a part of so many of us. how on earth can we get another network to pick it up? please, please, please, lets save it some how.
