Get out your box of Kleenex today, you will use them! Today was a plain old fashioned tearjerker. We do see a happier moment too. Shayne and Marina tell the family about baby Henry. It just so happens an opening in family court has opened and all can be settled today. He wants to tell Grandpa Josh first, which he does, and then off to Grandma Reva's house. A lot of happiness there. Now for the sad part, we saw Phillip fall yesterday while chasing that big brat James. He can't get back up and manages to call for help. It was Lillian, she comes and helps him get up, and Phillip tells her he knows he is running out of time and needs to tell his family. But, first he tells Beth, lots of tears from her, for me too! Next he summons the family to Ed's office and everyone is there including Rick. He takes the news very hard. Allan, is beside himelf. He finally realizes he could lose his son. Alex, is in shock and feels she should be helping Alan through this loss. Lizzie, is really hurt. Of course there is James, he runs off when he hears Phillip knew for a couple of months, and runs out of the room and has a temper tandrum. If only he would have given Phillip some of his valuable time! He goes into Ed's office destroys his desk and finds Phillips records. He discovers there is cure for his father. This leads us into tomorrow's show. Will he be the one to save Phillip, only a few more days to find out. This episode had me in tears most of the show, and I know many of you will be too. Oh, BTW, we saw a glimpse of Mallet and he is off to a secret mission, have we seen the last of Mallet? Jeffrey and Jonathan were back, and Jon was heading back to Springfield! Will he make Lizzie a happy mother again? Stay tuned!!!!Edmond was seen for just a brief moment. He is chasing Jeffrey, who will win, time will tell ! Time is running out for the GL too! Too sad!

they do still have it. they were awsome today. If I were Beth I would spend every moment in his arms!!!

With the ending I'm just wondering who is going to give their life for Philip. I've been thinking it will be Alan but I almost wonder now if it will be James...

I loved today's show. I always wanted Josh and Reva to know they were grandparents. that James is such a spoiled brat I hope he grows up a bit before the show ends. I cried through the entire show. It can only get worse as they wind up 72 years of a great show. I just hate CBS more every day their is no way I will ever be able to watch that channel again when the light goes out. I can find Y&R and ATWT on Global its a great network. They are bringing back Melrose place and 90210 I am so excited. just goes to show how out of touch CBS is they are canceling soaps while other networks are bringing them back.

Good show, would have loved to have seen Phillip tell the "family" the news instead of observing from behind with a sound track. You know Grant would have knocked it out of the park.

%( I knew it would be a sad moment but I didn't expect to cry like I did. My dog looked at me as if to say who died? It was a touching episode. All who watched it would be lying if they said they had dry eyes.

Merrymary, I read your preview before I watched GL. After reading it, I wasn't sure that I would be able to watch the episode. It was such a sad one. Beth and Phillip were great. They have to get back together before our GL ends.

It was a great episode today...I cryed and laughed and was so happy to see it all...There wasnt a bad part in that show today. I cant wait to see Sarah and Jonathon go to Lizzie, and to see phillip and the family deal with his illness..and of course the upcoming show with the Lewis and Coopers. Where were those shows 2 yrs ago. It was great. I cant wait until tomorrow to see what else is coming!!!!

I believe that Alan will sacrifice his life to save Phillip(thus atoning for his past sins) and Phillip with realize once and for all that despite all his controlling ways that Alan does truly love him. They would never let their child(James) do this.Rick would do it for Phillip but Alan has more motivation to do so.

I am happy to see Alan's character explained and his chance of redemption illuminated. He is like Ebenezer Scrooge in a Christmas Carol.

ITA~ If Alan had to die to save Phillip he would.Phillip is really the only child that Alan has ever really cared anything about.

Very true. Am I wrong or is Phillip's real mom the woman that Alan loved so much?
