Quote PelphreyPosse: Bizzie, it helps if you remember that other than being well known to the public and being richer than you are, they are just people. Once I got that in my head, I can talk to anyone, (well Patrick was the exception, and come to think about it so was Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers, my high school favorite musical group.) But mostly, I think I could talk to anyone from the President on down, cause I have met hundreds and hundreds from working in the music business with ALABAMA to working in the soap world. Just open your mouth and start talking, Trace used to play in a bar down the street from where I lived then, and I used to go see him play every Friday night, Tilly and Lucy's. He's really easy going and a perfect place for you to start your new celebrity hobby. Go for it, girl. They actually love to see someone NOT IN AWE of them that wants to chat. Most are very friendly and accomodating, there are a few that are exceptions to the rule. PP, Thanks! I will remember that. The bad thing is that with homeschool and my little business, I have very little time for a hobby. However, I really do enjoy the concerts. I haved heard Trace mention Tilly and Lucy before. Short version story. The last time Trace was near where I live was at the Smokies Stadium in Kodak, TN. My husband and I got there early and I had taken a few of the potpourri gels that my business makes with me in hopes of seeing him. Anyway, we got to park right beside his bus. My husband walked up to Trace's bus and gave the gels to the man that he thinks was one of Trace guitar players who said he would give it to Trace's road manager and he would get it to Trace. Well, dummy me, I forgot to put a note in the bag.

Aw, but you learn something each time. You'll be more prepared the next time and you will take the opportunity to push forward and meet. It's not that hard, that's the way I met Alabama and eventually went to work for them. I went from a fan, to a friend, to an employee. You just have to watch for the chance and then grab it when it presents itself. I've done it all my life and it works, trust me. It's a lot of fun to actually know the celebrities. And everyone needs a hobby, no matter how busy your life is! |
