Yes, I would like a longer ending...like until the year 3000!! |

Nice idea, but they (networks) are contracted to one hour for GL and one hour is what we will get. Posters keep referring to fairness and respect for the show, this is just a business transaction and there are no feelings involved on their end. We are the sentimental ones. They could care less and do! |

I keep hearing from different places that GL is going on nex year once the director is at STWT? Has anyone else heard that? And they also said it is most likely going to be on the computer only. |

Does anyone know if the public viewing of Ted Kennedy will be aired & if so, how will that affect the final 2 episodes? |

Quote mamarock: Yes, I would like a longer ending...like until the year 3000!! The year 3000 sounds good to me. I am there with you on the breakdown. I am having the hardest time accepting that our GL is going to end on Sept. 18. It is like watching a family member die a slow death. Added to losing GL, the Coffee Shop that my husband and I went to everyday either before or after GL for the past couple years closed this week. Like with GL, the people that worked at the Coffee Shop had become like family also. Hard to believe that in less than a month, I am losing the two things that my husband and I had enjoyed doing together since he retired.
I am beside myself that this is really happening...prolly will have a nervous breakdown that last day.... |

>( It really is toooo toooo bad that the networks "business" does not have any more respect for the viewers than what they do. As I have said and will continue to say till the end of GL, once it is over my TV will no longer view CBS daytime. In the midwest for some reason they have move Regis & Kelly to the CW network. What is up with that...very little warning of the change. Now they put informercials and some other nonsense on in its' place. Frankly, I a fed up with the ways that networks conduct there business!!! Now with the new Fall season getting ready to start they are going to play musical time slots with the new shows that are starting. |

They could care less and do! PP, I thought of you last week when I was going through Nashville on a business trip. While this is just a business transaction, it still seems so unfair that they are willing to just do away with a show with so much history. There is probably not another show on air that has been viewed by several family generations (daughters, mothers, grand-mothers, great-grandmothers). I will always think of GL as part of the family and cherish the many memories that they have given us over the years. Looking forward to hearing about your next trip. Keep us posted.

You should have told me you were coming thru and I would have given you my cell so we could chat for a little bit. I'm packing, just got home 30 minutes ago from work, will get about 4 hours sleep and then have to leave for airport, my flight leaves at 6:00 a.m! But fun waits on the other end and some of my GL buds. |
