Mallet leaves Springfield, most likely in search of Dinah because Dinah is coming back!! She will be making an appearance before the last episode. Will she get back together with Shane?? What will happen to her if she comes back?? So excited!!

I guess Mallet's excuse for leaving is that he doesn't like sharing Henry with shayne. I never did like him with Marinah but I did like him with Dinah. But I think I like dinah better with Shayne. I mean Shayne is the father to Henry but that doesn't mean that Marinah and shayne have to be a couple. And there are rumors out there that say he is going to run into his lost love Franchesca. But who knows.

Mallet leaves Springfield because he makes Marina choose between him and Henry because he feels like a "third wheel". GMAB, freakin moron. He tells Marina she has to either give Henry to Shayne, or Mallet will leave. Marina chooses Henry, as she has always refused to give that kid up , and Mallet packs his crap and leaves for Germany to work at a new job. (Husband and father of the year!! ) I do know for sure that he does not go looking for Dinah.

I got my information from the CBS Soaps magazine. They state that Mallet leaves Springfield and that Dinah comes back. Mallet will be coming back to Springfield however. I personally believe that Mallet is agonizing over the fact that he helped Marina go and sees how bad Shane is doing. That is why he is going to leave the country and try to find Dinah.

This makes no sense to me! No man in their right mind would make their wife choose between him and thier child. GMAB! If this is true, I have to say I will be even more unhappy with the writing, especially considering this is how there they're going to end the show???

Yet another way TPTB would try to get the fanbase to hate the show and want a cancellation. . . sabotage written all over it

My info from SOD is that he doesn't MAKE her choose, he knows in his heart she will pick Henry over him. So he goes. He does NOT give her an ultimatum!!!!!

Dinah has always been the love of Mallets life.That is why he was so willing to overlook her killing the man who tried to grab Henry and he helped her leave town without a second thought.Mallet is the love of Dinah's life also.She loves Shayne but Mallet will always be number one.

Marina has had a crush on Shayne from her teen years and vice versa.Had Shayne truly loved Dinah he would have supported her when she came clean about defending his son.Marina and Shayne share a deep love for Henry.Shayne loves him much more than he admits even to himself.That is why I think they are making this relationship switch at this stage.
