Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

My mother told me that she read on some site online that Guiding Light is going to be making it's debut on TVLand June 2010? Please let me know what's up, my mother is driving me crazy lol!


Sorry that is not true. The show has already ended. The taping has ended and the sets are gone.

I haven't heard this. However, If GL does go to tv land doesn't that mean it will be repeats of all the old episodes? I don't think tvland shows any new shows.

Where did she read this, what site, she should be able to remember where she saw this.

I just googled Guiding Light -TVLand. 2 interesting links came up. One was from you tube stating that tvland might be interested in picking up GL. Another was a site wanting people to sign a petition to tvland to pick up GL. I'm not sure of the validity of the info but anyone can google it & check it out for yourself.

My mother found the information on Guiding Light's Wikipedia page. I looked it up late last night and there was no such info? I was so hoping that is was true. I guess a girl can only dream.

Hotc, we have been down the Wickipedia road before. Remember the time Wick said that Mallet and Marina were going to GH with their roles, Rob had never even heard that. I don't trust Wick for anything!

I'd be game for GL to go to TVLand...at least we can see our family and friends again. I'd love for new episodes, but if thats what I can get then I'll take it.

If GL does go to TVLand, will they put it online as well? I don't have satellite or cable, so I would have to see it online.

If that is true I will celebrate on that day!!! I picture the lighthouse in the good ole days just circleing and couldn't wait for the excitement to begin.

i just read that Corbin Bernstein is also developing a soap for the web call the vine i read its yesterday on line

I heard that once the producers move to ATWT they were going to go on a web show. I forget where I heard that though.

don't feel to bad days of ours lives is getting the ax on Sept 17 2010 as is the same date that as the world turns is getting the ax on Sept 17 2010 they both had gotten an 18 month renewal which there contract runs out in Sept of 2010
next year and one life to live is the next one on the chopping block to get the ax, from what i hear if guiding light goes to the web then groovy that would be cool then it wouldn't have the network breaking in in the middle of it with some kinds of news breaking from the news i hate it when there is 5 minute left on the soap and the break in in the middle of it and then you miss it or they don't go back on it that wouldnt happen on the web.so that would be good thing if it did wind up on the web- Corbin Bersten is
developing a soap for the web call the vine so maybe this would be a new way to watch ours soaps on line if the network dont want then put them on the internet to watch them they were saying if nobody picks them up they would go to the internet with it.

That would be so awesome if they put it on a web show! But that is sad cbs and abc I think want all the Soaps off the air in a cauple of years.It just all goes down from here for the soap life!

I already have talked to a bunch of GL actors. They all say the same thing. IT'S OVER. Nothing else coming out about it. And ATWT got a 12 month extension, NOT 18 months and the big rumor is that they will get the axe by December 2009 instead of April of 2010. I know the 12 months is right cause I got it from Chris Goutman, Executive producer of the show. And yes, I do know a lot of the actors, spent the last three days with a whole lot of them, including a party or two, and dinner.
