So, BC you are only three hours away from me. I have students at the Tennessee Scnool for the Blind, who live in Memphis. Maybe sometime I will get over to Memphis and we can meet up. Y & R is a very good show, great writing and a fabulous cast of actors. I have always enjoyed watching it, I love Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) and Christian La Blanc (Michael Baldwin) I know well quite a few of the actors on the show. I also watch B & B for the same reason and now Rick Hearst (X-Alan Michael GL) is back on the show and that makes me very happy. |

When I was young Memphis used to have a School for the Blind. I work on Thursday and Friday. I keep books and file ins claims for a Marriage and Family Therapist. I get to work about 11:45 am and leave about 11:45 pm. I usually leave my house about 11:20 or 11:25. I usually have my TV on CBS. Y&R comes on at 11:00 am so I see about 15 minutes while I am getting ready to leave. I am so glad Rick Hearst is coming to B&B. I hope they give him a better s/l than they did last time. I remember Rick when he was on GL as Alan Michael. He was so good. I hated to see him leave. He was on GL when he won his first award. I remember his first son was just born. |

I remember that well, Rick came to Nashville the Saturday after the Emmys for a personal appearance at the mall. I took him a blanket that I had embroidered all the pertinent info on Nicholas' birth and gave it to him. That's sort of when our friendship began and has continued over the years. I am so excited to know I will see him next month in L.A. as it has been about 10 years since I have had that opportunity. He has sent me messages thru actors on the show that have come to Nashville but this will be much better. |

PelphreyPosse, you are so lucky. I have always felt that he was as nice in person as he seems to be. I have been to Nashville several times in my life. Always had a good time. Nashville and Memphis seems to go together. The music and the tourist cities. We also get a lot of tourist wanting to see Beale Street to hear the Blues, see the Mississippi River and to see Elvis's home. When I was in my late 30's I kept books for a blues club and was the night time cashier. I had more fun even though it was hard work. All the entertainers that came to Memphis to perform would end up at Blues Alley (where I worked). We had a live blues band. The entertainers would get up and perform. Even the ones that were not blues singers. I met quite a few. Some were nice. Some were jerks. But I enjoyed all of it. I haven't been to Nashville in a number of years. I can't afford it. I don't even have a computer at home. I use the one I work on at work when I come in Thursday & Friday. |
