Ok, I know we all know this, but I think I'm coming out of denial --- I can't believe GL is ending. Is anyone else going to pick it up? It can't end. |

I haven't heard anything, but they have great posters here that can tell you what they know. I too asked the same question on another post. Let's hope they do have a new home for the show. I have been going to daytime confidential alot, but no news. I hope it gets picked. If it don't I know that P&G lied about shopping for a new network. So no more pringles and zest soap for me lol. |

I don't think they lied, it's just that shopping doesn't necessarily meaning purchasing! I think the low ratings and the expense of putting the show on with all the salaries just isn't appealing enough to networks. It's always about money and the bottom line and I think most networks feel that soaps are a losing proposition not a winning one. |

Soaps are not as popular as they used to be, so not too many networks want to invest in one. We will just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Perhaps "CBS", has requested that another network not make a big deal until they cut the deal. That would make sense. CBS has found another show to take GL's placem why would they want us to change the channel? |
I will say they have only a few wks to bring everything to an end. (if that is what they are going to do)

i dunno it just makes me scratch my head in wonder to what the soaps are doing lately... they should not cancel gl. its a great show. |

I JUST READ ON LINE THAT PRODUCER ELLEN WHEELER IS TRYING TO BRING GUIDING LIGHT DOWN BECAUSE SHES WANT TO GET OUT OF THE SOAP BUSINESS AND DOESN'T WANT TO DO SOAPS ANYMORE AND THAT PROCTOR AND GAMBLE IS TRYING TO GET OUT OF THE SOAP BUSINESS TO ALSO |
