Will any of you continue to watch CBS soaps after Guiding Light ends it run? Myself I stopped watching B&B/ATWT, so after GL goes I'll be down to just Y&R. A lot of viewers are upset at CBS for cancelling GL and plan to boycott the network.

When GL goes off CBS in Sept., I will NOT be watching CBS and will forget that it is even a network. GL is the only soap that I watch faithfully and keep up with on a daily basis, so unless another network picks up GL, I will also not be watching any more soaps.

I will not invest in another soap, especially one in the CBS line-up!

We loved, many CBS shows, we loved many other soaps, as I just sent a post to Edgeofnight poster. Hey, Life does go on and so will we.

Did they have an impact on our lives? YES, will me miss them, YES, will miss them YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

But to say that about CBS? CBS has great shows. It just means that GL was not top on the list for a lot of viewers. That's all. Everything does come to an end at some point. Just be happy it isn't our lives or those we love. It's a show, just a show that we all loved and will miss.

Don't change the channel, the channel may change you.

Keep it Mellow.

I'll still watch Young and Restless. I may try to get into another soap on another network.

At one time I watched As the World Turns, but dropped it some time ago.

Does anyone have suggestions for another interesting soap.

As far as I'm concerned, though, Guiding Light is irreplaceable.

My man Josh might be gone in Sept., but, I will not abandon Victor. These are the only two soaps I watch on a daily basis. Victor will not be abandoned by me. He will have to leave just as Josh is leaving me. Victor and I have been together since his first day on the Y & R.

I only watch YnR and GL on CBS. I to will continue to watch YnR, but I do not watch it on a regular basis. I do not watch much TV otherwise unless it's FOX news. If a different network picks up GL, I will try to support their station.

I have watched the CBS soap lineup every since it started. No one will hate to lose GL anymore than I will but I will continue to watch all the other 3 soaps for as long as they are on television. I will gladly follow GL to another network if one is smart enough to pick it up. I will also continue to watch the other soaps as I have actor friends on every one of them. My hobby is soaps, my favorite has always been GL, but I enjoy all of them. CBS is a network business and they have a bottom line just like any business. I will not boycott their network and all of their other primetime shows because they cancelled GL. They will cancel ATWT in one more year, too. They only keep shows that make a profit for them, like the Bell soaps.

CBS has canceled all of their best shows, so after GL is done I am done with CBS. It has little to do with them getting rid of GL though. They just don't have anything worth watching, and I don't get into the other soaps.

Hi, Deeg, John will start airing about July 15-18th, I think. His hair is growing back out now, got it buzzed, I didn't like it. He is taping a lot now, getting ready to move into his new place at the end of the month. Really likes his new job and says all of the cast are very nice to him. I can't wait to see him on Y & R, I really have missed seeing him on GL. Hope you are fine.

I'll continue to watch Y&R (I started watching Y&R 3 hrs.ago when B&B got so sickening) and ATWT but in place of GL, which I have loved for 50 yrs., I'll watch AMC's GH. I started watching GH when GL got soooo bad, and I continue to read their daily updates. I guess when ATWT goes off next year, I'll watch AMC's soap on that time schedule.

Breaks my heart, GL & ATWT have always been my favorite soaps for a long, long, long time
