O.K. I wish I had read the article closer on DaytimeConfidential, but I was in a hurry and when I went back to it to check, I couldn't find it anymore. It was an interview with a writer who is supposedly in the know about soaps. In it she stated that several GL actors (main ones) she said, had already been offered contracts pointing to a new network picking up GL and that others were being talked to. SO: you could look at this one of two ways. One, Lifetime did buy GL as previously hinted and they are in the process of signing up the major roles of the soap. Or, these leading actors and actresses are being signed for other shows and networks and I (JMO) don't think this could be done without leaking out somehow or somewhere. Course, there is a third option, we could just ignore this article but Dan off of DTC is pretty much in the know about what is happening and he posted it. What does everyone else think? There will be NO announcement until all of it is a done deal, remember.

I choose to think that it's option 1. I would think there would be too many potential sources to leak from if they were getting farmed out to different networks. Of course, the info could be slightly out of whack, there have been a lot of sources who've basically declared GL dead on the table. Hopefully those people get proven wrong.

I tend to agree with you. I do know for a fact that one of GL's actors has been offered a new deal, but I can't talk about it. This is the only one that I have been in touch with lately. I'm going to see about a dozen soap actors Friday and Saturday but unfortunately, none of them are off of GL.

I'm rooting for option 1 also!

Me, too Calliope, when I think of never seeing these actors again in their roles, it really saddens me. And of course, I also wouldn't see some of them again in person cause lots would move to L.A. and I wouldn't like that either. Hopefully someone is smart enough to pick up this show and let it continue.

This at least gives up a glimmer of hope for the future of GL. Wonder how long it will be before we know for sure.
