Each time he is needed, Phillip has come forward and told the truth about James. What is the mesmerizing effect that James has over everyone? Beth said that Phillip is ruining James' life. Doesn't anyone see that James has ruined innocent lives already??? Alan, I can understand. He has to blow up like an over-inflated balloon and be the Big Man, standing up for the family. We've heard that before--so much bluster. But Beth!! She is in a fog. In earlier scenes, she seemed all over Phillip. Now, she is ranting so much, he can hardly get the truth told to her. James is a spoiled, egotistical, and unappreciative wonder boy. In other's eyes, he is just a "kid". What will it take for eyes to open and see just what he really is like? And is there anything that will change James' attitude of entitlement and the lack of remorse. Hmmmm..........that is Phillip's job and I hope he stands up to the criticism, lack of support, and downright obstinence that is being shown to him. Don't cave, Phillip! You are the light in Guiding Light. Too bad, no one else is!

I loved it when Bill and Lizzie decided to skip the arraignment. Maybe Phillip has an ally in these two.
