Hi ya all!! I hope you are all have a nice long weekend. With today being Memorial Day, many are remembering loved ones gone and our brave soliders too. Today can be a hard day, so hang in there. Since WWII started in 1939, GL was on the radio for two years by then. I bet many started listening to the radio to hear news, but to escape the war too. War was even s/l in soaps. Buzz's kids thougt he was killed in Vietnam.

This was a very sweet sentiment...thank you. My son-in-law deploys in Nov.

I was born in 54, so I wasn't around for the radio days, but have listened to some broadcasts on the net.

I lost several friends in the Viet Nam War...once again, thank you for this thread!

Well, your son-in-law is a hero and I pray for the troops(and their families) daily in or out of war time!! So many give up so much for the rest of us!!
