Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

Let me get my peace said...I have not posted for awhile because it is no fun anymore. I don't know if everyone is stressed out because CBS will not carry GL after Sept, or if posters think they are smarter or more creative than the ones in charge now!

It just seems to me like a lot of posters are critics now instead of fans...what is everyone's problem???? Can we just talk about sl's, instead of tearing everything apart from E.W. to the location where outside shots are filmed at?????

Everyone is in meltdown mode, instead of build up mode,,,If GL is not picked up by another channel, than what will we do? Sit around and discuss everything that was wrong or miss everything that was right!

Junior high, high school, grade school attitudes, what makes the difference when all is said and done?

If I upset you with this post, fine. If I made you stop and think, fine!

I love GL...let's start posting and have fun!

Mama, I'm so there with you. It's gotten to where if you disagree with certain posters, you can put yourself into a position of getting banned, like you know who did for three days. I don't want to get tossed off of here for not having the same opinion as someone else. I simply post from knowledge of speaking to the actors or Ellen and that causes trouble sometimes. I am always ready to talk about the storyline, or the characters.

I agree with you completely! I know it has been said before but if you don't like it, don't watch it, and then don't post! We obviously have storylines/characters we like and dislike and SHOULD be able to have discussions about those topics without being mean-spirited.

Mama, I can feel your pain right now. Now you know why I decided to leave the board. I always enjoy your posts, so take your own advice to me, and ignore the bad posters. We, all, the loyal fans need to stick together now! I know how frustrating some of the attitudes of the "new" posters can be upsetting. There is a lot of love for each other, so please try to get through this bad time. I, did, and I am glad I am back on the board. There are more good posters, than bad ones. Stay the course with us!!!

I have watched GL since 1956 and have always been a fan! Way back when Bert, Papa Bauer and the rest of the cast where all in black and white, I watched through it all!

So...can Evil Eddie really be dead, I sure am gonna miss that maniac!

You know that Edmund was supposed to come back for a short while, so maybe his demise is real this time. I hope not! We will just have to find out together what the writers hve instore for Edmund. I think he is one of the most loved of the newer characters.

Eddie is one of my favorite villians, I think he's even meaner than Alan! Hope they work something out with the character...I just can't believe he's gone! When will they find Grady's body????

Hi ya all! I think some people are usd to other blogs that you kind of have to go out fighting from the start. I have been blogging on this site for awhile and think highly of many of you that I have got to know. There are some I do not know very well, but there are many of you that I know that may not agree 100% with me, but have my back. I love Merrymary giving me previews. I love Stevenbunch giving updates on what is going on in regards to the hope of GL living on. I love to hear about PelphreyPosse's trips and insite. There are more of all of ya that I love. So, I guess what I am saying, hang in there and know who love's ya baby!!

I am with you Mamarock. I love your post. When I heard GL was cancelled by CBS, I wondered what about all the people that I post with that I now call friends. I enjoy posting with you and Merrymary and everyone. I had just told my husband yesterday that the board seems dead and I couldn't figure it out. But you are right. I say post away and enjoy the friendships that have been made. If this board ever closes, we will have to email each other from time to time. You always cheer me up with your post. May the Guiding Light continue to shine for many years to come. There are still alot of new story lines to be told, especially with Bill and Lizzie getting married. We could have a whole new generation starting. So, let's do all that we can to help save GL. instead of wasting time with the what should have been done and being rude to others. In my opinion, any network that picks up GL, is getting a real treasure. Oh, and Merrymary, I am so glad that you came back. I also enjoy your post.
