Guiding Light - MESSAGE BOARDS

Most recently I was named "GL WorstFan" BASED on my opinion in threads started by me. Though I believe it has been mostly my Opinion of Guiding Light's current producer, Ellen Wheeler, that has sparked the debate. I am not one to close my eyes on the truth so Im asking for the opinions of ALL YOU "BEST GUIDING LIGHT FANS".....What are some of the positives that Ellen has done or is doing to "KeepAlive" or lead Guiding Light in the right direction!

Well.... look at the bright side, there are people in New Orleans with full roof's to sit under thanx to the CAST.

Okay for starters....The Olivia and Natalia storyline.

Ricky Paull Goldin left because HE wanted to, he'd been thinking about leaving GL for more than a year, he'd talked it over with his dad when he was terminally ill, and his dad told him that sometimes you have to leap and have faith that a net would be there to catch you. So he did, it didn't have anything to do with Ellen. Beth left because her contract ran out and in negotiations for a new one GL wanted to give her less money. Ricky had just departed, and she shopped around and found a new role and more money, again, not Ellen's fault. Grant has always been silent about why he wasn't happy at GL, but has never come out and blamed Ellen publically. He's back with her now and happy, so if she's to blame, why is that? Peapack was the result of either do it cheaper or close down the show. She chose Peapack and the show stayed on, and you want to blame her? If you have been chosen as GL's worst fan, look at your actions or is that Ellen's fault, too? You been very public about your dislike for her and you've put yourself in an unappealing place. I think it boils down to the point that Ellen has more fans than you do. JMO, of course.

Debating with you is a waste of time and I'll not do it anymore. Maybe you are right and we will lose Ellen and the show, and then maybe you will be the winner. Course the rest of us will all be the losers because the show she has fought so hard for will be off the screen for good. I cannot make you see what is right in front of your face because you want someone to blame.

I think that Ellen has done lots of good things for the show. She could have taken pay cuts or even firings to reduce the budget but instead she kept all of the wonderful cast and changed the prodution format.
