This is what PelphreyPosse quotes Ellen as saying the network has instructed her to do-keep writing like normal, no storylines tied up. Gosh, I hate CBS! They knife us in the back and then they roll it around, plunging it deeper with this crap about "writing as normal"! Those basters owe us a little respect...they screwed up everything...and they won't even fix the f-ed up mess they made! They aren't leaving much reason for another network to want to pick them up! Fans will follow if you give them what the want...are these people the dumbest people on earth or what! Moronic Baffoons! Gosh, how I hate NYC MBA's running a soap opera...It's not fricking Rocket Science! Love story, GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT, love story, GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT, love story! When the baffoons get involved..it's all about what they want! It's like Cuban running the basketball team, or Jones running the Cowboys...no business getting involved with the daily grind..just let people that know what they are doing...DO IT! |

Bizzie I do think that CBS thought that GL had a reasonable expectation of being picked up by someone else and so if the writing continued as normal, they would just move seamlessly onto another site. The head of CBS said in the cancellation statement on 4-1 that they would actively search out a new home for our soap and I believe that they really did think it would go somewhere and not just die. |

Bizzietrain, what you wrote on 5/6 was what was on your mind. I'm glad someone let their feelings be heard. You put it so well. |

When this topic started, I actually felt like GL might go to another network. Now, not so much. If there is a deal in the works, no one seems to know or be talking about it anywhere. C.C. said she went to the top and asked if anything was in the works and got nothing, so she signed with Days. This was in her interview. So now, I'm beginning to think that continuing the show is too expensive but I am still in hopes that somewhere this wonderful daytime drama will survive. But if we see one or two or three more top actors in the lineup get contracts on other shows like Crystal did with Days, I think the handwriting will be on the wall. Evidently, they don't think enough of the GL fans to be honest with us, and that's even sadder. |
