Why did they have to mess up the show with Olivia and Natalia's new found relationship?

Those who refuse to even give the story a chance because of their preconceived notions of what it is are missing out, IMO. But to each his/her own. |

GL is still the same story.

Simple. I personally love the Otalia storyline. The writers have done a brilliant job telling this love story. I also would like to say that I love the new production model. Guiding Light is truly groundbreaking in all aspects. Regardless of your opinion we should all be working together to make sure this soap opera finds a new home.  I love the storyline, they are both beautiful and great actresses.

Soap Operas have always been the place to portray taboo topics which is part of their allure. It doesn't mean everybody has to approve of the actions of what the characters are doing...murder, kidnapping, blackmail, unconventional relationships, etc. are considered unacceptable when done in the real world but on tv it is about stepping outside the real world and entering a fantasy world. Yes,Olivia and Natalia have a strong emotional bond and love each other but they are not physically involved with one another. There are many women who have another woman as her best friend but it doesn't make them couple. I can't see why a woman can't have another woman as her best friend without being considered a lesbian? Women can live together as roommates, help each other out financially, be emotionally supportive of each other,etc...that is what friendship is about helping each other through tough times and even being there to share good news. Olivia and Natalia haven't crossed the line of sharing a physical relationship yet and who knows if they ever will...so for now they are just Best Friends Forever! There is nothing wrong with loving your best friend either. |

I do have a bff and she is female. We've been friends since 7th grade and she's a god parent to one of my kids! But that doesn't mean I'd do anything else with her! Gross! |

We are both married with kids now, our families spend lots of time together, so I don't really get your meaning. Why does everyone say that the pairing of Otalia ruined the show? If my memory serves me right the show has been in the gutter for quite some time now. Besides a kiss that happened months ago they have done nothing but dance around the issue. It is fine to dislike the ides of pairing them but they aren't officially a pair!!! So think real hard and I am sure you can come up with a number of reasons this show has not been fairing to well with ratings for years. |

I agree and you are right they are best couple right now. It's not about being gay which people can't seem to understand. It's just a true love story between two women. Heck their love story is better than some love stories I'v seen between a man and woman. I love the storyline and hope it continues to the end. I just wish that it didn't have to end in September. I'll keep my fingers cross. Their is still hope.

I would love to see this sl move on in whatever direction the writers are intending! But this constant back-peddling is a little tiresome! If it's not Emma than it is Rafe that keeps them apart! |

I was watching ATWT today and Jenna and Katie seem to have more love for eachother then Nat and Olivia. The story line is boring. The fighting and walking out and then saying I love you.. man. Or should I say women? I do also agree with other posters too. Enough now. Let's not make such a big deal and maybe they will just drop the whole thing or make it better, they have their work cut out for them. Why didn't they pair up the Mayor with the horrrse. ha.. |
