I think GL messed up really bad by having a romantic relationship between the "man loving" Olivia, and the "do gooder," Natalia. People don't just turn gay...they are gay or staight from birth. I hate the fact that they are ruining a good show by having , of all people, the beautiful, Olivia start wanting to bed Natalia. I have as much right as you others do to state my opinion on this. So, don't get uptight over the fact that I think this is the most stupid SL Guidling Light can have on right now. These women are just lonely and searching for something...and mistaking themselves to be "out of the blue lesbians." |

oprah did a show a couple of weeks ago with women who are in their 40s and 50s, had been married to a man for 15+ years, and they fell in love with another woman. i think you should watch it before you make statements like that. Exactly. I've lurked on this site for a while - and I'm quite aware it's the same half dozen people that keep posting this broken record "No offense to gays but Otalia makes me feel uncomfortable and icky when I watch" nonsense. No one is asking anyone to go watch actual "lesbians" make out. We're talking about a freaking SOAP OPERA! These are characters played by ACTORS. It's NOT REAL. Suppose they developed a storyline about two elderly people falling in love. As someone in my 30's, that might not be my cup of tea, but I wouldn't go on every message board telling the fans of that storyline that it grossed me out. (Truth be told, I have an open mind... if it was well written and well acted, maybe I would find it engaging and romantic!) It's disrespectful to the show, the actresses, the writers and the fans of Otalia to continue this constant harping about the S/L which by every poll and every other site is immensely popular and for good reason. The acting and the writing are delivering on every level. I pray for the day these few debbie downers can just FF the greatest love story in Daytime and let the rest of us enjoy it. |

I usually stay out of these "this s/l grosses me out" threads, but I mean really?? If you want to talk about what is gross/puke-worthy let's talk about Alan smicking smacking on Beth or M&M in an extra-small twin size bed, or Daisy spread eagle all over Greasy Grady --- NOW that is what GROSS is! |

Ok, so I may be (well, I am) off topic but didn’t want to open a thread for this but I have to say, how are people so comfy w/ the idea of kissin cousin’s (Jon & Tammy)? Yet so negative towards Nat & O?...So, here we have two first cousin doing the nasty, right? But my gawd, having two (unrelated) people which have embarked on a solid and natural relationship; be put down so much? Not sure if I get that and the funny thing is, it has not even been sexual as of yet...but my gawd, did Jon not go full force w/ Tammy...what a joke... |

"Only Love Can Change The World".. not narrow mindedness..If you do not like the storyline then do not watch on the days they are on or leave the room and come back when it is a different scene. Simple. |

Lives are being healed and saved by the Otalia storyline. It is opening up discussions between mothers and daughters, mothers and granddaughters, aunts, friends, even colleagues. This is a historic development because for the first time the writers convey with utter accuracy how love can develop between two women, and the confusion, concerns, fears, shame, and bigotry that too often ensues. My only wish is that a storyline like this with Pulitzer Prize-level writing and Oscar-caliber acting were around when I was growing up in the 1970s and 1980s. God bless the GL cast and crew, P&G, CBS, Telenext--everyone involved in making art on a daily basis with this inspiring storyline. You are at the top of your game! |

Isn't it funny that one of these topics were for Octalia, and no one was allowed to join in and post anything negative. But, the top poster says she doesn't like the story and here come all the Octalia lovers bashing her. |
