Jax and Carly decide how to spend Christmas Eve.
Sam finds a way to get Alexis to lighten up.
Colleen is dangling a Christmas ornament over Spencer's head, talking to him about having to leave him. Nikolas comes into the room and tells her “this” won't work. He clarifies by telling her that he's planning a family only tree-trimming party. He hands Colleen her severance check and a letter of recommendation.
Jax's hands are freezing and he puts them inside the back of Carly's shirt to warm them up. He says he can warm everybody up if he takes her and the boys to Australia for Christmas. Carly flips out because she's too busy planning their New Year's Eve wedding. Jax tells her that he's hired a team of wedding planners and all she has to do is tell them what she wants. She protests because she wants to be the bride of his dreams, therefore she wants the wedding to be perfect.
Skye goes over to Sonny's place to pick up Lulu. She explains that Lorenzo has told her everything and that she is positive that Lulu will be safe now. Sonny wants to know how in the world they can trust Lorenzo. Skye explains the terms of her new agreement with her – she and the baby will move in, in exchange for Lulu's safety. Skye warns Sonny that he doesn't need to use Lulu's safety as a reason to go after Lorenzo anymore. After she leaves, Sonny tells Lulu that she IS going with Jason to look for Spinelli.
Alexis tries on a brunette wig but doesn't like it. After she has taken it off, she turns around to see that Kristina is watching her. Alexis explains that she'll get better, her hair will grow back and they will have fun again. Sam comes in and Kristina runs out the door. Just as Alexis jumps down Sam's throat for coming over without letting her know first, Lainey walks in. Apparently, Lainey has planned a therapy session that includes Sam and Kristina. Lainey tells Alexis the best thing she can do for Kristina is to let go of her grudge with Sam.
A very cheerful Emily runs into Liz at the nurse's desk and as she tells the story about her reconciliation with Nikolas. As Emily starts to reveal the nitty gritty, Liz squeaks, “Too much information for me.” They giggle like school girls, but Emily gets a grip and invites Liz to bring Cameron and come trim the tree with them at Windemere. Lucky will be coming too, Emily tells her. Liz declines, but wishes everyone well.

At Kelly's, Professor Pete is reading Pride and Prejudice, but ends up in a good back and forth literary discussion about the heroine with Georgie. Soon, Dillon comes in and jumps all over Pete for spending so much time with his young, female students.
Robin goes over to Patrick's apartment to apologize. Patrick tells her that Pete is right, that one night stands are much easier. He goes on to say that loving someone is more satisfying, no matter how crazy that person drives you. He tells Robin that he's not going to stop loving her just because they disagree from time to time.
Lainey, Sam, Alexis and Kristina are sitting around the fire and having a pretend tea party. Sam tries to draw her little sister into conversation, but she eventually runs off. Alexis says that Sam is upsetting Kristina, but Lainey feels that Alexis is the bigger problem at the moment. Lainey explains that it's not just the shooting; Kristina has lost Ric and Sam in the past few weeks. Alexis reminds Lainey that she is still there. Lainey points out that Kristina saw her in a coma, her appearance is changing because of the chemo and she is frantically trying to control everything around her. It's all too terrifying for a little girl. Alexis sarcastically asks if Lainey would have her wear a wig and take Ric back? Then, Alexis storms off, and Lainey tells Sam if there's anything she can think of to help Alexis let go of her controlling behavior, that would help matters for everyone.
Carly tries to convince Jax why she needs to stay in Port Charles to keep her hands into the wedding plans. Jax reminds her that Luke and Laura had a memorable wedding with even less time to plan it. He tells her that they should concentrate on each other during this time. Carly excitedly agrees with him and calls the boys downstairs. Once they are seated on the couch, she tells them they are going to Australia for Christmas. Michael promptly says, “No!” He explains that he and Morgan can't go away because they have to find Jesus. Michael explains that they have parts in the nativity pageant on Christmas Eve. In fact, they wanted to ask if baby Spencer could play baby Jesus. Jax and Carly send the boys upstairs so they can decide what to do. Carly votes that she and Jax should concentrate on themselves for a change. Jax has a compromise. They should all stay for the pageant and leave for the Bahamas the next day. Carly says she'll handle Sonny. Jax asks, “Why do we have to handle Sonny at all?”
The feud over film making is still going on at Kelly's. Georgie attempts to get Dillon to calm down by explaining that the discussion she was having with Pete was about the film version of Pride and Prejudice. Pete insults Dillon by saying that a business major wouldn't understand the nuances involved. Dillon pulls out his film expertise with a verbal thesis on recent film adaptations of the book. Then, Dillon abruptly commands, “Stop trying to get into Georgie's pants.” George resents that he thinks she's naive and incapable of having a meaningful conversation. Pete excuses himself, but first he puts Dillon in his place by agreeing with Georgie.
At Windemere, Lucky enters the room to find Nikolas underneath a crooked Christmas tree. Why isn't he letting the staff do the decorating like he normally does? Emily comes in with bags of new decorations. Lucky asks if they'd like to be alone and Nikolas explains that it's a family affair – even though Liz has declined the invitation, Emily adds. They dig in on the tree, but soon Emily and Cameron show up and ask if they need any help. Lucky is very happy to see them.
At Sonny's, Max and Milo are outside arguing over who gets to watch Lulu. Max smacks his brother in the face and reminds him that she is Luke Spencer's daughter – hands off! Inside, Lulu tells Sonny that she doesn't want him to kill Alcazar because of her. She doesn't want his baby to grow up without a father (pretty much like she did). He tells her it's not about her; there are other circumstances to consider. Finally, Lulu agrees to go to Tennessee to help out with the Spinelli situation, but she expects Sonny to return the favor. She very matter of factly tells him that when she gets back, she plans on proving her mother's innocence in killing Rick Webber. And, if she needs help, she expects to get it from Sonny. Sonny quietly looks at her.
Robin and Patrick are relaxing and the subject of Pete comes up again. Robin wants to know what Pete's two cents worth was regarding their misunderstanding. Patrick recounts that Pete fears is he is falling into “relationship world” and that means Robin makes all the rules and only tells him when he breaks them. Robin tells him that's not at all how it's going to be and they agree that they both like “relationship world”. They kiss.

Milo has packed Lulu a lunch to take on her trip to Tennessee. Egg salad, carrots and cookies, he proudly tells her. Lulu lightens up and flirts with him, wondering how he can be so sweet considering the kind of people he works with. Max points out that Milo is just learning the ropes. Lulu tells Milo that she wishes he was the one to take her on the trip instead of Jason. Milo gushes.
Carly goes over to Sonny's to talk about the holidays. She invites him to the Christmas Eve holiday pageant and to dinner afterwards to hang stockings. He tells her he thought they could all have dinner at his place. Carly tells him that won't work because Jax will be with them. Sonny doesn't understand why Jax won't be with his mother and brother for the holidays. Carly reminds Sonny that Jax is about to be her husband and the boys' stepfather. This is how it's going to be from now on. Sonny is getting upset, but he moves on to Plan B – which is to have the boys with him for the week between Christmas and New Years Eve. That's when Carly has to tell him about the trip with Jax to the Bahamas. That's also when Sonny gets angry and tells her that she's trying to replace his place in his sons' lives with Jax!
Kristina has come downstairs to sit on the couch with Alexis; everyone else has gone. Alexis asks her daughter's opinion if she should wear a wig or not. Kristina remains silent. Just then, Sam comes into the door, then so do Michael, Morgan and Jax. They are all laughing and wearing wigs! Alexis lightens up and smiles.
The tree at Windemere is trimmed and surrounded by smiling people. Colleen interrupts and says it's time for Spencer's bottle. Emily asks for the bottle so they can feed the baby themselves. Colleen grimaces, but says, “of course.” Lucky helps Liz and Cameron bundle up so they can leave. They remember last Christmas and the fun the three of them had with Cam's tricycle. Liz tells Lucky she's glad they came. As she leaves, Lucky points out that she's under the mistletoe.
Pete comes back into Kelly's to pick up the book he left behind. Georgie apologizes for Dillon. Pete tells her that Dillon was very insulting to her, not him. Georgie takes a moment to explain how Dillon used to be passionate about film, before his life changed. She goes on to tell Pete that Dillon used to be smart and quirky at the same time. She grows wistful as she wishes Pete would've met Dillon before. Pete tells her that she's the one who is smart and quirky and passionate now.
Lulu nabs the keys from Milo and gets in the car. She playfully tells him and Max that if she has to go all the way to Tennessee with Jason, then she's driving. She gives an evil grin and rolls up the window.
Sonny tells Carly that it looks like he's going to have to give up spending time with his boys. Carly tells him that she's still marrying Jax no matter how hard he tries to sabotage them. Sonny's voice starts to crack as he tells her, “No you won't. Not now, not ever. Because when you're standing at the altar promising to love Jax for the rest of you life, I can guarantee you, you won't go through with it.” He sadly leaves a stunned Carly standing alone in the room.
