The Perfect Out.

Friday, December 04 2009
Rebecca catches Nikolas and Elizabeth, Michael acts out, Dante and Lulu get closer, Jason finds Franco's loft, and Jax summons Dante again.

While at Casa Corinthos, Dominic talks his way out of Sonny's queries regarding his interest in what happened to Claudia. Sonny believes Dominic is protecting him, but he doesn't like talking about Claudia or his marriage. Sonny says he should have listened to Olivia and wants Dominic to keep an eye on her because he's worried that Johnny could do something crazy. He then changes his mind and says he needs to take care of Olivia himself.

Michael comes home and Morgan wonders why he wasn't at school saying he missed finals and their mother will kill him. Carly comes in the room and after Morgan goes to check on his sister, Carly wonders why Michael wasn't at school. He tells her he went to the woods where he killed Claudia. Carly calls Sonny over and fills him in. Sonny wonders what he was thinking going back to the cabin and tells him he has to be smarter than that. Sonny isn't happy he skipped school, but Michael says he doesn't need school for what he was raised to do. Sonny makes it clear he will never be part of the business. Michael thinks he's proved himself by killing Claudia, but Sonny reminds him he was just protecting his mother and sister. Sonny won't let it destroy him, but Michael wonders if Sonny is destroyed. He responds, "More than you will ever know." Michael runs upstairs and Carly thinks their son needs professional help, but Sonny thinks he needs some time and for him to set a better example.

In his office, Jax continues to try and convince Olivia to keep quiet about Dante and Sonny being father and son. Olivia gets a call from Sonny, as Jax eavesdrops. She agrees to come meet him and says she has something to talk to him about.

Dante goes to Lulu's place who apologizes for not being very nice to him about the Sonny situation. He can't hold it against her because he's her friend. She knows Sonny's heart is in the right place and thinks Dante's starting to realize that as well, but whatever he chooses to do is his call. She then thinks it's time for him to take a break from everything. She has an idea for a distraction and they play Rock Band. Dante is surprised by her use of the guitar, so he picks it up and she gives him some instructions. They play another round with Dante on the guitar and Lulu laughs at his ineptitude. When they're done, he thanks her because it was fun, but it wasn't the distraction he thought it was going to be. He says a guy can dream and she kisses him, but he gets a call from Jax who demands he come to his office.

Furious that he has summoned him again, Dante goes to Jax who says Olivia is about to tell Sonny about him.

At his house, Sonny tells Olivia he has missed her and wants tonight to be about them. He leads her inside to a candlelit table and tells her he cooked dinner so they can do some catching up.

In the stables, Nikolas puts Rebecca's coat back on her, much to her surprise. She tries to seduce him, but Nikolas isn't having it. He can't be with her, but Rebecca feels what they had was real. He tells her his heart is with someone else and he can't keep pretending she's someone she's not. When she continues to protest, he flat out tells her he doesn't care enough about her. She gets mad and leaves.

Elizabeth can't believe Lucky brought her to the land they want to buy to dump her, but he thinks marrying him is not what she wants. He knows she isn't happy and assumes she's consumed with guilt about the past. She tells him it's not in the past, the terrible things she's done are with her every day. He tells her he loves her enough to let her go. She insists she wants to be his wife and begs him to marry her. Lucky wonders if she's sure and she tearfully asks him not to give up on her. He would never do that but he won't marry her with this thing between them. She loves him and wants a future with him, but Lucky doesn’t think they have one like this. He tells her she has to decide what she wants. She says all she wants is to be his wife.

After running into him at the hospital, an embarrassed Rebecca tells Lucky what she just did. Lucky is sorry, but he thought Rebecca would be the one to break Nikolas out of the Cassadine tendency to be alone and unhappy.

Elizabeth goes to Wyndemere and informs Nikolas that she told Lucky she still wants to be his wife. Nikolas wonders why she would do that considering he gave her the perfect out, so they could be together. They argue and Nikolas tells her to kiss him and if it's not what she wants he will leave her alone. Rebecca returns to Wyndemere and sees Nikolas and Elizabeth having sex.

Carly opens her front door to Lucky who has looked at her hospital records and doesn't think she's telling the truth about the night Josslyn was born. Michael walks in as Lucky grills his mother and says Carly doesn’t know anything about Claudia's death. Lucky finds it interesting he used the word death instead of disappearance and wonders what he knows.

In Jason's living room, Spinelli and Jason continue to try and decipher the message in Franco's artwork. Spinelli gets an idea, goes to his laptop and finds a loft on Willow Street that was rented to Jason Morgan.

Jason goes to the loft Spinelli tracked down and looks around, as Franco watches from the shadows.

Next on General Hospital:

Jax gets the goods on Sonny.

Jason waits for Franco.

Elizabeth insists she will marry Lucky.

Is it me or is anyone else getting sick of Elizabeth trying to marry Lucky knowing she wants his brother. Whats the point

Posted by beenaroundalongtime at Friday, December 04 2009 01:32 PM

Soapfan36 you are not alone.

So Rebecca gets an eye full. I can hear Liz, Rebecca, please don't tell Lucky this could kill him! Since Rebecca is leaving will she be murdered? By Nik? Or Liz? I'm still confused, Liz has said that she loves Lucky but not in love with him. It's a shame she can open her mouth as easily as she open her legs.

Regarding yesterday's posts:

Cynic, GREASEBEGONE - hilarious!

Hera, great post regarding trauma after rape. I'd never thought of Elizabeth that way.

Poodles, yes Jax should know that it would traumatize Michael and Morgan to have their father shipped off to prison (with the help of their step-father) but he probably thinks they're so much better off without Sonny and that he's a better father. I guess he thinks that justifies what he's doing.

I haven't seen today's show but I don't think Lucky is allowed to look at Carly's hospital records!

Poodles, I also meant to comment on The Blind Side. That was the best movie I've seen in a while. I was amazed that the young man grew up surrounded by drugs and gangs but stayed away from it all. He never would have met the people who took him in if he'd been mixed up with a gang. I live in Memphis where the movie was set, but they didn't film it here for some reason.

Elizabeth should be with Nikolas and stop lying to herself. Lulu and Dante make an AWESOME couple and should definitely get together. I hope Rebecca keeps her mouth shut. Poor Michael nobody to talk to. Jason should just pull the trigger on Franco and get it over with geez. Hope if Olivia tells Sonny that Dante is his son he would kill her like what happened to Claudia that would be soooo sad Dante = hawt

Hey ransomha - I don't know if you saw it on yesterday's updates, but hera was able to do what I couldn't do, mount a reasonable defense for Liz.

Congratulations to hera for a very well thought out and reasoned explanation of Liz's recent actions!

I have to say that I am fortunate enough not to have had to deal first hand with the aftermath of being a rape survivor (nor do I have any in my immediate circle - or if they are, they haven't confided in me about it). But that being the case, I don't think I would have ever looked at Liz and her recent actions as hera explained. I don't know if I agree with all of what was written, but that's not really the point. The point is that there's at least a reasonable argument that Liz is not just a vile tramp -- which (sorry Liz fans) is how she's seemed lately. For anyone who didn't read hera's post, I recommend going back and doing so. It's definitely worth the time.

That being said, I still don't think Liz should have continued to beg Lucky to marry her when she knows she's so conflicted about it right now. It really doesn't make me sympathize with her at all. If she had agreed with Lucky to hold off on getting married right now while she sorted out her "issues," then I could have respected her, but now it's just really, really difficult to like her at all (notwithstanding hera's intriguing defense/explanation).

Sonny's a "donkey" if you get my drift. It's sad because I really used to like him and now I just can't stand him at all. Everything he does, says or wears, for that matter, bugs me. UGH!

just another possible way of looking at

Liz--a woman on the edge of a breakdown. The theme of the sexually unawakened woman who gives all for the love/sex awakening and the man who brings it has been a strong one in literature at least since D. H., Lawrence, most notably in "Lady Chatterly's Lover" so I can accept that (even if she has been with Jason and both Luckies!) But she believes that she is losing it and that Lucky and only Lucky can and will save her. He can't. And really Nik can't. But I see her as drowning, not as calculating (jmho).

On a lighter note the "music" session with Dante and Lulu was fun, and I'm proud of Spin and Jason for figuring out the clue.

Michael looks physically ill. Another breakdown on the way?

A fastpaced clifthanger today!!
