They're Expecting Me.

Friday, November 20 2009
Nikolas hides as Lucky and Elizabeth discuss their future, Jason and Sonny are ambushed, as the mystery man watches it go down, and Johnny and Olivia have it out.

A furious Johnny lashes out at Olivia in her living room about Dante. She tries to explain why she didn’t tell him the truth, but it only makes thing worse when he learns she knew what Dante's agenda was all along. She says she was just trying to keep everyone safe and even tried to get him to go back to Bensonhurst, but he wouldn’t do it. She also reminds him she tried to warn him about Dante and that Claudia found out and used it against her. Johnny remains cold towards her as she cries and apologizes. He tells her it's not enough because Dante has been pumping him for information while pretending to be his friend. She loves Johnny, but Dante is her baby, her blood so she had to put him first. Johnny won't even try anymore because he has no illusions about his importance in her life. Olivia asks him what he plans to do and Johnny responds that Sonny might deserve what Dante's got for him. He hopes she understands that this can't end well because someone will not make it out alive.

Spinelli works on his laptop at Jason's looking for the camera that took the photo as Sam walks in. He stops, saying they have to go to the art gallery to provide security. Sam wants Spinelli to stay behind to work on the photo because someone out to get Jason trumps a harmless art exhibit.

At the art gallery, Maxie and Kate prepare for the exhibit and talk about the artist who no one has ever seen. Kate tells her it will be a coup when Maxie gets him to do the photo shoot, because she is a cute, perky blonde who might get him to agree to it. The fashionistas see Franco's exhibit with a chalk outline of a dead body as part of it and find it a bit creepy. After Kate leaves, Lulu comes to the gallery and they discuss the artist and how this could help Maxie's career. Sam shows up and Maxie is furious Spinelli didn't come to support her. Sam assures her Spinelli will be there soon and Maxie declares the whole night needs to go off without a hitch, but she is sensing looming disaster.

As Max and Milo pull up to the meeting with Dominic, Jason and Sonny, the mystery man watches as Dominic grabs Sonny to protect him as shots are fired. Dominic gets the keys to the car and after Jason seemingly wipes everyone out, drives Sonny, Max, Milo and Jason away as the mystery man waves goodbye to them. Jason wants Dominic to take them as far from the scene as possible and says a homeless guy was watching as they drove off.

At the restaurant Sonny talks to Dominic about how Anthony's plan went south, but at least he sent a message. Dominic says they almost paid the price though and Sonny says if it got too close for him then he can leave and he won't stop him because he understands why he would want out. Dominic is surprised he really wanted peace with Joey and Anthony and Sonny says if someone dies on his account it's because they did something to deserve it. Dominic asks if he's ever been wrong, even when he started out. Sonny asks, "Are you my lieutenant or my biographer?"

Jason runs home and tells Spinelli what happened and to pull up camera footage because he needs to find the homeless guy. Spinelli finds the footage three blocks from the shooting and they see the guy wave. Spinelli thinks this guy might be mentally ill and doesn't know what he saw, but Jason believes the guy wanted to be seen. Sam returns and tells them she heard reports on the radio about a shootout and that she can be his alibi. Jason calls Sonny and says they should be seen so no one suspects them in the shooting. He suggests they all go to the art show.

Back at the scene of the crime, the mystery man puts his foot on a still breathing Joey Limbo's throat until he isn't breathing any longer. He then arranges Joey's body in a different position and throws the quarter Joey gave him earlier down, saying, "Keep the change."

The mystery guy goes to his loft, makes a call and says, "I need you." He gets out a drop cloth and a razor and a woman comes over to shave him. When she's done, the now cleaned up mystery man buttons up his nice shirt, kisses her and then leaves because, "They're expecting me."

As Nikolas grabs his clothes and hides, Lucky walks in the house. Elizabeth nervously talks with him and puts her foot over Nikolas' cufflink that he's left behind. Lucky talks about the land they want to buy, saying it's expensive, but they can still swing it. They might have to swallow their pride a little bit and ask Nikolas for a loan, but Elizabeth says absolutely not, because she doesn’t want him to resent his brother. Lucky wonders if that's it or if she has a problem with Nikolas himself. She thinks he hasn't been the same since Emily died and might be getting worse, but Lucky thinks it's just the opposite and wonders if it's because of Rebecca. Elizabeth tells him it's not Rebecca and then Lucky gets called away on a case.

Mac and Lucky meet at the crime scene and speculate on what happened. Mac wonders who Joey was trying to take out and Lucky thinks something is off. The medical examiner tells them Joey didn't die from a gunshot wound, but from his windpipe getting crushed.

You know, I want to empathize with Olivia, I really do. But I don't understand her at all. She constantly contradicts herself and just loves to shed her crocodile tears to garner sympathy. If she genuinely feared Sonny and believed with every fiber of her being that he would hurt her for not revealing her son's paternity to him, then I could understand why she is so determined to keep Dante's paternity a secret. But that is not the case is it? Not when she is always first in line to soothe Sonny's bruised ego by falsely reassuring him about what a great father he is and what a good man he is deep down inside. If Sonny is such a good man, why would she think that he would even think to hurt his own flesh and blood? I am not following Olivia's train of thought here at all. This seems more to me that she's keeping this secret for her own selfish reasons. She cannot bear the idea of Sonny seeing her in a different light. She cannot stand the idea that Sonny won't think that she is an ideal woman. The self sacrificing, straightforward, honest woman who he wants more than anything else. Olivia is now keeping this secret because she doesn't want Sonny and Dante to find out that she is a compulsive liar who held onto this great secret for purely selfish reasons. I wonder what explanation will she fabricate to tell her 'baby' when the truth finally comes out. Despite Dante's ambition to take Sonny down, I don't think that he would appreciate the fact that he was working to putting his father in prison, even if he happens to be a mobster.

Liz must be a glutton for punishment. That cannot be an easy or comfortable situation to be in right there. Fiancé at front door while future brother in law/ lover is inside house tearing off your clothes. Nik is such a despicable character, right now I cannot think of one redeeming quality about him. People always talk about his impeccable manners, and good breeding, but helping oneself to their brother's girl is not a sign of proper etiquette. What Nik is a selfsih loser who is hellbent of dragging everyone down in his mess of a life.

Wow! If I were Kate & Maxie & saw that exhibit I would
run not walk the other way. Creepy! Liz made me sick today.
Being all lovey to Lucky at the same time hiding Nik's
cufflink under her foot. I think Johnny maybe done w/
Olivia. He was mad. Why is Franco posing Joey. Why even go over there. I am very interested to see what this guy pulls
out of his hat. He is going to cause all sorts of trouble.

Johnny finally got Olivia figured out when he told her what she does best "sympathizing and I'm sorrys". Yes, she has been doing a lot of that lately.

I just cannot understand a mob boss like Sonny putting his trust in a new recruit whom he barely knows, rather than a man he has known most of his life and tied to him in some way which demands loyalty. If Dante is a sloppy cop, then he is simply taking after his old man.

Great show today, Franco is one crazy, sexy lunatic, love it. Love, detective Spenser, smart cookie and maybe the PCP D's intelligence is going to start to shine for a change.

From the upcoming scenes, Maxie is in way over her head and is going to be in trouble.

Liz, is only thinking of herself, and slinging it to the brother-in-law is totally sick, but I like the story.

I loved Johnny & Olivia but it was obvious the relationship wouldn't last and it was going nowhere, I will miss their once hotness. I understand where Olivia was coming from, because blood is thicker than water and no man should come between her and her child. She did give warnings, and her sudden interest in Dom/Dante should have sent warning bells John's way but I guess he was not swift enough to catch on, love is blind.

Hello, to all of you wonderful, beautiful ladies and gents, many blessing to all and have a wonderful weekend.

I am tired about commenting about Olivia & her lame secret. I am relieved that Johnny finally saw the real Olivia – a heartless, two-faced hypocrite.
I more thrilled to see Kate back on the canvass.

Okay, I get this Franco character is "mad"”, "eccentric" but his wave & smile to Jason was right out of creep fest mania. Then he called his "hooker" for a shave which gets her all hot n bothered that she needed a cigarette. Hmm, I am intrigued but cautious. GH story lines have the ability to crash n burn before the finishing line.
