Getting to the Bottom of Things.

Friday, November 06 2009
Jason worries about Michael, Carly can't forgive Jax, and Dante and Johnny are determined to find out the truth.

Michael comes downstairs at Sonny’s house in the morning and notes Claudia’s disappearance is all over the news. Realization sets in for Michael that he killed his stepmother. Sonny maps out a story they can tell as a cover and reminds his son not to talk to anyone about Claudia. Michael says he feels better now because everything seems to make sense. Sonny tells him that will change and he will help him when he needs to talk about it.

Jason comes to see Carly and Josslyn and she tells him her baby is his goddaughter. Jason tells her he took care of getting rid of the evidence and they need to stick to their cover story. Carly wants Jason to talk to Michael, but Jason doesn’t think he seems upset at all. He is afraid for Michael because he should be torn up inside about killing someone. Jason recaps how and when he found out about Claudia’s involvement in Michael’s shooting, what happened in Mexico and that Jax knew that Jerry was involved. Carly can’t believe he didn’t tell her, but Jason was too worried about her and the baby. Carly forgives him, but can’t understand why Jax kept quiet.

Dante goes to Jax for information on what really happened to Claudia so he can bring charges against Sonny. Jax tells Dante everything except for who killed Claudia. Dante says he has to read between the lines and for Jax to stop him if he’s wrong. He thinks Jason or Sonny whacked Claudia and Jax doesn’t say anything to contradict him. Dante mentions the bloody handprint on Sonny’s shirt and Sonny comes to Jax’s house. Dominic explains to his boss that he wanted to touch base with Morgan and then leaves.

Jax urges Sonny to go to the authorities about Michael, but Sonny won’t ever do that. Sonny counters that if Jax told the truth, this whole thing could have been prevented. They continue to argue and make accusations.

At Olivia’s, Johnny tells her he doesn’t buy everyone’s story about Claudia. He thinks Sonny did it and tells her about Maxie seeing blood on his shirt. Olivia tries to console him and Johnny says he knows she did a lot of bad things, but at the end of the day she was his sister and he loved her. Olivia thinks he has to let this go, but he wants to say goodbye to Claudia and remember the good things about her. Johnny tells her Dominic is going to help him figure everything out.

Olivia comes to see Carly who expresses her anger over Jax knowing the truth about Michael. Olivia reveals she knew as well but it wasn’t her secret to tell. Carly is furious and doesn’t want to hear her rationalizations. She wonders what if her son were in danger and someone she loved and trusted knew about it but didn’t say anything. Could she live with that?

Jason comes to the police station upon Lucky’s request, but won’t answer any of his questions. Lucky assures him it’s off the record, but Jason still won’t say anything. Lucky says sometimes when people refuse to answer they tell you everything you need to know. Lucky knows Jason didn’t kill Claudia, but believes he knows who did and says the proof always surfaces.

Nikolas comes to see Lucky at the station, but learns he’s busy and runs into Elizabeth who doesn’t want him discussing her with his brother. She shows him a picture Cameron made for Lucky of their family and Nikolas walks away.

Johnny goes to see Sonny, but Michael tells him he’s out. Johnny says Claudia didn’t hate him and his getting shot was an accident. Michael blows up at Johnny, saying Claudia got exactly what she deserved.

Jax goes to the hospital and learns Carly checked herself out.

At home, Morgan meets his sister. Jax comes home and Carly is distant. After Morgan leaves, Jax and Carly argue. Jax insists he loves Michael, but Carly accuses him of not protecting him when he needed it. He tries to defend his actions, but Carly wants him to leave.

After several voicemails from her, Dante goes to Olivia’s place. She rails at him for taking advantage of Johnny’s grief over his sister. Dante will look out for Johnny, but he is close to proving Sonny committed murder and nothing will stop him.

Sonny comes home and finds Johnny who makes it clear he still wants to work for him and tells him Joey Limbo is still in town. Sonny in turn won’t hold him responsible for what Claudia did. Johnny wants to know what really happened to his sister.

Jason finds Michael at his place who is afraid he tipped Johnny off. Jason tries to talk about what Michael did, but he insists he’s fine. He won’t feel guilty and confess and feels justified in killing her.

Next on General Hospital:

Jason becomes more concerned about Michael.

Carly asks Jax to leave.

Elizabeth is racked with guilt.

What a good show today. Jax got some nerve saying Sonny not protecting Michael and let his children be in danger, but didn't Jax protect his psycho brother to get away with Michael's shooting and didn't tell Carly about it at all. I am so glad Carly threw him out he deserve it, that's not the only secret he keeping from her, what about Dante is really Sonny son and working with Dominic/Dante to track down Sonny and send him to jail. Michael have every right to be angry at Claudia and Johnny because they put a hit out on Sonny that night at his coffee warehouse, but had Michael shot instead. Michael lost a year of his life because of them. Yep i agree with Michael Claudia deserve everything coming to her and Johnny too.

Gosh, couldn't the writers have found a better way to exit Claudia? It's all so gory.

How can Carly understand that Jason was "was too worried about her and the baby" and not understand the Jax felt the same exact way? Why is it so easy to forgive Jason and not Jax? They both kept the same exact information from her for the same exact reason.

Carly always sides with Jason instead of her own hubby. Can't believe that she's giving up on her marriage already after she begged Jax for a second chance. She was also wrong to slam Olivia. Carly needs to get off her high horse!!!

Beso5186- U made a good point about Carly understanding Jason but criticizing Jax over the secret. It only shows Carly's mobster mentality.

Yes!!! Jax give Dante all the ammo he needs to blow Sonny & his minions out of the water.

Oh how brave little Michael has become. It was a little while ago that Michael left Kate at death’s door after plugging her with a bullet. Instead of getting help or checking on Kate, Michael ran away like a scared puppy with his tail between his legs. Now, after doing his first kill he suddenly has found his ego to tell Johnny that Claudia got what she deserved. This kid is so green that his secret will get the better of him.

It looks like Lucky’s intelligence has returned. JJ was brilliant in his scenes with Jason.

Highlight of today’s episode was Olivia getting balled out by Carly for keeping the information about Michael’s shooting from her.

Jason did not have solid proof until a few days ago about Claudia. Jax had the DVD for months. Jason WAS only protecting Carley, he had NO other motive while Jax on the other hand was keeping his trap shut to protect his brother. And Jax is Carleys husband. Thats a biggie. A mother has to put her kids before a new husband, and this new husband (jax) doesn't give a rats a** about Carleys other kids. And if she's mad now just wait until she finds out about Jax working with Dante to bring down Sonny and Jason.
Olivia is starting to get a glimps of what her secret keeping is going to cost her. Can't wait for Dante and Sonny to find out about eachother and for everyone else to find out that Dante is her son. Where does this leave John? The slammer.
John needs a new job bad. He should not be working for the people who killed his sister. That is just too crazy.
Maybe Micheal's next hit will be Olivia. I'm telling you, this kid has a nack for the mob life.

Ah, I think we really do need to set aside for the time being love in the afternoon and recognize that GH has taken a very complicated and dark turn. I really do see the PCPD getting more serious and intelligent. The discussion that took place between Jason and lucky was deep and personal, something we never would have seen with the GV Lucky, because they were all about love in the afternoon (Sam vs. Liz)

She got what she deserved, said michael. And you know he believes it as his father told him so.

And, god, I'm so glad that Olivia used that lame excuse to Carly, It's not my secret to tell. Carly really tucked it to her. I was thrilled to hear that as that's everybody's excuse on this show. it's not my secret to tell. BS.

All I can say about Carly is Carly is back. Sonny was prevented from seeing the kids because of his business, but Jason is going to be the godfather? Because he's her best friend? What about talking it over with Jax. No? And, he's not a part of the mob? She's twisted, but I think she knows it. She may be the new, or old, as Claudia used to be CArly, Claudia. Twisted and demented.

Johnny broke my heart today as he mourned over his sister's death. Will he stay with Sonny and his mob?

Jason as godfather? and what church does he attend???
what church do any of them attend??????
Carly throwing Jax out of his own house; what a wimp if he actually leaves.

Hi all!

I did find it amazing that Carly could come down so hard on Jax. Jason and Jax made their decisions not to tell Carly for pretty much the same reasons. Yet Carly can forgive Jason but not Jax. Classic Carly. She is a mob moll, if ever there was one. I know that she loves her children very much but she will always be a mob queen and she should just divorce Jax and get back together with Sonny because that's really where she belongs. I just feel sorry for her children. She is completely oblivious to the emotional needs of her children. It's quite sad to me.

I feel so sorry for Johnny. As vicious as Claudia was, she was his sister.

I have never been happy with the Olivia/Carly friendship. For someone who talks about the importance of family - something she always chastised Kate about - Olivia turned her back on her cousin and betrayed her with her friendship with Carly who hated Kate and never apologized for her son accidentally shooting her. Since Carly never seems to get along with any woman on GH, I am surprised that the Olivia/Carly friendship lasted as long as it did, but I am not surprised that friendship now appears to be over.

I am looking forward to Johnny and Dante working together to bring Sonny down. Sonny is such a hypocrite. He professes love for his children but he continually does them wrong. Michael just killed a person, regardless of whether she deserved it or not. The kid is having flashbacks! I know that this is a soap, but I don't want complete fantasy and escapism. When I watch soaps, I don't leave my brain at the door. Some things have to make some sense, even in the soap world. There has to be some realism and realistic portrayals of people's interior life. Michael needs counseling. That both Sonny and Carly act as though Michael is going to be fine after killing someone is astonishing. At least Jason is trying to talk some sense into Carly who would rather stick her head in the sand than to face that once again her life choices have had repercussions on her children.

I was never a Claudia fan and I found her odious, but if she deserved to die in the vicious manner that she did, then one could make a similar argument with any of the mob characters. One can justify Claudia trying to kill Sonny after how he treated both of them. Claudia is no more horrible than Sonny when it comes to revenge and violence. Sonny deserves to die a violent death for all the violence that he has done. I am glad that Claudia is off the canvas, but I would have preferred that she just disappeared and never came back. But then I guess there wouldn't have been any satisfaction for the viewers who came to detest Claudia and wanted her dead.

Bravo, JJ's Lucky!! Finally I got my JJ scene. Had to wait all week for him to appear again. Although the scene was far too brief, I was so happy to see his gorgeous face that I was clapping!! I am so glad that TSW have made Lucky intelligent again. It was always an insult to Lucky that he was written with so little intelligence. He's a Spencer and Webber! How TSW could write GV's Lucky with no wit and intelligence was always beyond my comprehension. But I could have done without Nik showing up at the police station. I so despise Nik for betraying his brother.

I am so loving JJ's Lucky. Every one of his scene is brilliant and he is bringing his A game. I just love how he handles Jason, putting Jason in his place. JJ is rocking his scenes!!!

hi everyone:

By the time i finally sat down to watch GH, I was just happy to have the early part of the day behind me. I went for an early morning run, came home, baked a carrot cake, read yesterdays posts and did some posting. had several errands to run, thought I would take a piece of cake to my husband at the hospital, so I decided to take the car...big mistake (i usually walk, take the L orhail a cab) I loaded the stroller and the rest of the "gear" into the car-put the twins in their car seats, Jake the big poodle took his place between the two car seats and we were ready to go--I put the Jeep in reverse, looked into the rearview mirror and only saw Jake the poodle-(1st-mistake) he has a really big head and I had just teased his hair. I hit the gas,but the emergency brake was on, so I released the brake and really hit the gas---well (2nd-mistake) I forgot to open the garage door. If anybody has ever wondered if the front airbags will deploy in a rear-end crash, they do. The twins are fine, jake got knocked to the floor, but is ok and I have a huge red mark on my faceand chest. My wonderful neighbor, who is a retired judge, rescued us and was kind enough to chauffeur us on our errands. He even called the Jeep dealership and made an appointment to have newairbags installed on Monday. I'm not sure what I would do without him and his wonderful wife. Also not sure what to tell my husband about this mess...I hope he really enjoyed the carrot cake and doesn't need the car until after Monday.

I'm enjoying the new/old Lucky--they have so changed th way this character interacts with others. i wish Jason was able to tell him the truth about what really happened to Claudia--it was definatley some form of self defense (Ring we need your legal opinion). Jax was right to some degree, they are only making it worse by covering it up. I don't think Michael will be able to keep his mouth shut-he already told Johnny, she got what she deserved.

Jax-telling dante, almost everything Carly told him was such a betryal of her trust--and of course leaving out that it was Michael, protecting his mom and baby sister, just made it worse and put a very unflattering light on Jax. He will do anything to put Sonny and Jason in jail, no atter who it hurts.

I will try to post more thoughts later--I had better make a final sweep of the garage to make sure there is no evidence of my crime (tail-light glass, etc.) I could really use-Jason, Max and Milo--ha ha
