Jax helps Dante, the wedding rehearsal gets underway, Olivia helps Johnny recuperate, Sonny asks Dominic to stay with him, Michael turns to Carly, and Maxie confesses to Jason.
Sam and Jason try to calm Michael down regarding his false memories. Michael looks in the mirror and remembers what the fortuneteller said. Upset, he mentions it to Sam and Jason, worries he’s crazy and leaves.
A pale, bloody shirt wearing Johnny comes to see Olivia at the Metro Court as she is trying to ease the dentist’s fears about having his convention there. The deal is blown and after the man leaves, Johnny tells Olivia he just wanted to see her. Olivia worries about his health, but Johnny doesn’t want to go back to the hospital. Olivia asks him to trust her and leads him out of the room.
Carly asks Claudia if Sonny is aware they are trying to have a baby. They exchange words and Claudia accuses Carly of still trying to keep her claws in Sonny. They debate who has a higher standing in Sonny’s life, exchange warnings and Carly leaves.
As Sonny comes in Dominic’s room, Jax spots Dante’s badge and slyly puts it in his pocket. Dominic tells Jax he will get back to him on his offer and Jax leaves. Sonny offers to let Dominic stay at his house while recuperating so he can protect him from Anthony, because Sonny thinks he was the intended target when Johnny got shot. Sonny wants to keep him safe because he saved Morgan’s life.
Sonny says he’ll have the car come around and leaves Dominic’s room. Jax returns, throws the badge at Dante and calls him Detective Falconeri. Jax reveals he knows Olivia is his mother and says he will help him any way he can to make his case against Sonny. Jax’s only concern is Morgan and Dante says he hates the idea of hurting him, but when Sonny is taken down, maybe he’ll realize no one is above the law. Jax tells him to work fast getting evidence at Sonny’s house before anyone else figures out who he is.
At the hospital, Spinelli tells Patrick Mac’s permission is important to him because it’s important to Maxie. Patrick suggests he stay away from Mac and he and Robin will take of him. He thinks in time Mac might come around and Spinelli asks if there’s hope. Patrick says there’s hope for a miracle.
At Robin’s house, Maxie goes on about how she doesn't want to get married, but she doesn’t want to do anything that will hurt Spinelli. Robin tells her she needs to be honest with herself. Maxie wishes Mac didn’t hate Spinelli so much and Robin says Mac will never think anyone is good enough for his girls. As Maxie continues to insist she has to get married, Spinelli and Patrick come in and Spin takes Maxie to the wedding rehearsal. After they leave, Patrick asks what Robin thinks and she says, “Not good.” He asks if she will go through with it and Robin responds, “We’ll see.”
Patrick and Robin walk into Rice Manor and find Mac freaking out about Maxie marrying Spinelli. They try to talk him down, but Mac can’t get over the fact that Spinelli is a criminal. Spinelli and Maxie walk in and Patrick grabs Spinelli away as Mac embraces Maxie. Lulu comes in and Mac asks her to talk Maxie out of this. Sam, Kristina and Molly come in so the girls can practice their readings and then Mac sees Jason and gets more upset. Robin suggests it’s time to trust Maxie and let go and Patrick reminds him it’s not his choice. Mac says they’re right and thinks they should get the show on the road, until a monk comes in. Mac says Spinelli is under arrest! The monk leaves the room and Mac is upset about what’s happening. He says there is no priest so the wedding is off, but Reverend Coates shows up much to Mac’s irritation.
Sonny returns home and Claudia tells him about her run in with Carly. Sonny tells her Dominic is moving in with them and based on her expression, wonders if she has a problem with that. She doesn’t trust him, but Sonny says that’s how it has to be. Claudia will compromise and allow him to stay at their place if he gives her something she wants. She whispers something in his ear and walks away.
Olivia brings Johnny back to her place, still upset he left the hospital. Johnny tells her she can’t save him, make him be a better man or change him; all she can do is be the best thing in his life and he’ll do the same for her. Johnny doesn’t know how much time he has left, but he wants to spend every moment he has with her. They kiss and Olivia gets a call from Dante saying he’s Dominic. He thanks her for her concern and says he’s been released and will be well looked after because he will be living with Sonny. Olivia hangs up and tells Johnny what Dominic said, thinking it’s a bad idea. Johnny thinks she’s worried about him and tells her not to because he can take care of himself. Olivia hopes that true.
Michael goes to the Metro Court to find Carly and tells her about his false memories. He’s afraid he’s going crazy and Carly tells him he will work it all out and to not push himself too hard. She suggests they get pizza and he says she’ll have to order the salad. Carly responds, “Not if we don’t tell Jax.”
The wedding rehearsal gets underway as a threatening Mac walks Maxie down the aisle. Robin pulls him away from Spinelli and Reverend Coates talks them through the chain of events. Mac stews during the “kiss the bride” part. Once done, Maxie pulls Jason aside and tells him she needs to talk to him.
Dominic walks in Sonny’s house and Claudia makes it clear she doesn’t want him there and threatens him.
Jax comes back to his office and finds Michael and Carly. Michael tells him his memories may not ever have happened. He then gets a flash of Claudia saying she sent the gunman and it’s her fault he got shot.
Once everyone has left Rice Manor, Maxie tells Jason she doesn’t want to marry Spinelli. Jason says she has to tell him, but she can’t and needs him to remind her during the wedding how much she loves him. Maxie wants to be with him forever, but she doesn’t want to get married right now. She asks Jason to stop her if she runs from the altar screaming because she can’t break his heart, as a devastated Spinelli overhears.
