Sonny and Dominic bond, Michael has another memory, Kiefer gets rough with Kristina, Lucky asks Elizabeth a question, Jason and Sam discuss the carnival and Robin looks forward to solving a new mystery.
Robin tells Ethan, Rebecca, Mac and Edward that Andrea drugged Edward, resulting in his heart attack. Lucky comes in and gets caught up. Regardless of whether or not he was drugged, Edward doesn’t think he can ever forgive himself. Mac says he will run all the evidence by forensics and expects to clear Edward of all charges. Edward thanks Robin and they all leave to let him rest, except Rebecca. Edward tells her he shouldn’t have been driving and wonders what Lila thinks of him right now.
Liz breaks off her kiss with Nikolas as Jason walks away unseen. She tells Nikolas they have to stop doing this to Lucky. Liz warns Nikolas Lucky would cut him out of his life if he found them together. She knows this isn’t right, but she can’t help herself. Nikolas knows she’s been a good friend to him, but he should be a better one to her.
In the chapel, Olivia changes her mind about telling Sonny that Dante is his son.
Dominic insists to Patrick he doesn’t want his mother contacted, but Patrick tells him they need to contact a family member because it could mean the difference between life and death.
Patrick goes to the chapel and tells Olivia he knows she is Dominic’s mother and Sonny is his father, a fact that could be important for his treatment. Olivia gets upset and says she and her family will get tested, but Sonny can never know about his son. Patrick thinks Sonny has a right to know what’s at stake and Olivia demands to know how Patrick knows all this about her. He explains and then tells her keeping the secret could harm her son. Olivia vows to tell Sonny Dominic/Dante is his son if he needs a transplant.
Sonny visits Dominic and thanks him for saving Morgan’s life. They talk about fathers and sons and disappointment. Dominic feels like he is doomed to disappoint Morgan, but Sonny says his son has a talent for sizing people up and he was right about him. Sonny says his boy wouldn’t be half bad if he turned out to be the man Dominic is. Sonny doesn’t know if his boys are safe with him, but Dominic tells him if he stops seeing his son, Morgan will blame himself. Sonny wonders if Dominic blamed himself and says his father is a fool to not even try to make an effort with him.
Jason goes to Sam’s place and tells her about Nikolas and Elizabeth kissing. Sam is shocked and thinks this will devastate Lucky. She then says, “This can’t be easy for you either.” Jason counters Elizabeth can be with whoever she wants to be with, but he’s worried because he doesn’t want Jake to go through a nasty custody battle between Liz and Lucky. Sam doesn’t think Lucky would take his anger over Nikolas out on his kids. Jason doesn’t want Jake to lose the only father he’s ever known and notes he gave up his rights. Sam reminds him he was there for Jake when he needed him and Jason thanks her for agreeing to go to the carnival so he could be there.
Kiefer comes to see Kristina at home and is happy to see she’s okay. He hates having to hide their relationship from her dad and says he needs to talk to her at anytime. He gives her a phone that will be their own private connection. He explains that she will always know it’s him calling or texting and she likens it to a dog that comes running to a whistle. Kiefer grabs her and yells, “Why don’t you get it? Why do you play these games with me?” She tells him he’s hurting her and he lets go apologizing. He blames it on her and says he got her the phone because he worries about her and cares too much. She apologizes and thanks him for the phone.
Patrick and Robin sit in the lobby and talk about Andrea. She thinks if she had handled things differently this whole tragedy could have been avoided. Patrick says Andrea could have tried to kill her as well so the fact that she's okay is the silver lining for him. Robin sort of understands what it’s like to be her mother now and Patrick is proud of her for solving this case. She promises to be more careful next time. Patrick doesn't like the sound of that, but Robin is excited about, and good at, solving mysteries and says she can’t waste a talent like that.
Rebecca comes to see Elizabeth and tells her Edward was drugged so what happened at the carnival wasn’t his fault. She asks her to see Edward to relieve his conscience knowing Jake is okay. Elizabeth is defensive, but Rebecca just wants to help Edward and Liz agrees to see him soon.
Nik and Lucky meet up in the lobby and Lucky tells his brother watching his troubles has made him realize how much time he’s wasted with Elizabeth. He wants their life back and says there is nothing standing in their way.
Olivia walks up to Dominic’s room and hears Sonny talking to him about being a kid. She walks in the room and Sonny wants to tell Dominic about their past together. Olivia tries to stop him, but Dominic is interested. Patrick then walks in with Dominic’s test results.
Lucky comes back to Elizabeth and tells her how important she and the boys are to him and wonders why they aren’t doing something about it. He loves her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. He then asks her to marry him.
Michael comes in the house and finds Jax on his laptop waiting up for him. As Jax apologizes for being hard on him after he came out of his coma, Michael remembers Jax apologizing at his bedside. After Jax leaves the room, Michael recalls Jax saying he helped put him in a coma and helped his brother do this, but he can’t ever let Carly know.
Ethan finds Rebecca and Nikolas together and tells Rebecca if she goes home with him she will regret it because she can’t trust him.
Jason and Sam talk about the carnival and Jason tells her about Carly’s advice. She says Carly was sort of right because she has really enjoyed the time they’ve spent together lately, but didn’t want to ruin it by talking it to death. Sam gets a call from Michael, who says she can't tell Jason what he’s about to tell her.
