Spinelli Takes the Lead.

Wednesday, April 11 2007
Dillan puts a lot of thought into his date but is sabotaged by Spinelli, the press stirs up dirt and throws it in Carly's face, and Sam is uneasy on her first day of shooting.

Dillon is setting up very romantic, very French, setting for his date with Lulu. Georgie comes along and tells him that it's lovely and that she wishes him and Lulu well. Dillon explains that Lulu isn't looking for anything serious, but they are just going to "see". Dillon is nervous and Georgie tells him that it's okay. Even though they thought they would be together forever, they were just too young to know what forever means. They agree to be friends forever. Georgie recognizes the movie scene that Dillon is trying match with his props, then tells him that Lulu will love it.

Sam and Amelia are getting ready to shoot their first segment and some lighting equipment startles Sam when it falls loudly to the ground. She flashes back to a time when a man she was with was roughing her up. Then she tells Amelia that nothing is wrong, it's just that she used to live in a house that looked like the one they're shooting in. She asks for a break because she's "tired", but she's really freaked out and remembering the abuse she suffered while living in that house. Amelia explains that the house was empty that's why they were able to book it for the shoot. She tells Sam to take a little break. Sam sits on the sofa and looks around the place suspiciously. It doesn't take her long to fall asleep. She's dreaming that a man is wrestling with her, telling her that he has bought and paid for her. As she is struggling with him in her dream, she wakes up to the word, "Angela." Amelia is standing above her and Sam says never to call her that name. Amelia tells Sam that she was saying that name in her sleep, and then asks who that is? Sam says that she doesn't know.

Carly gets ready to take the boys out for pizza and as they open the door the press is waiting for them. "Mrs. Corinthos, how do you feel about your husband buying his mistress Sam McCall a TV career?" the press asks. Carly pulls the kids back into the house. She calls Sonny and tells him to handle it. Jax comes in and says, "I didn't realize we were having a garden party!" Carly sends the boys upstairs and tells Jax that the press wants to know all about her "husband" and Sam McCall! Carly is not pleased to have to relive everything that Sam's affair with Sonny brought up. Jax asked how Carly will feel about Sonny's future relationships. Carly says that she is moving on and she wouldn't dream of telling Sonny that he can't. Jax decides to call one of his business contacts with media ties and convince to call the press off of Carly. After he hangs up, Carly kisses him and tells him that she'll never take him for granted again. They decide to order pizza in and as they are all sitting around and eating, Michael asks what a mistress is. Jax does his best to explain, but no matter how he describes it, it sounds exactly like Jax and Carly's relationship. Carly says, "No, Jax and I are in love." Jax returns her loving gaze and agrees.

Maxi is at Kelly's helping Coop study for his cop test. She tells him that he's acting like his life depends on it and reminds him that he has already served his country. He says that he'd understand if she doesn't want to date another cop. She says that she's not crazy about his choice of a career but she'll support him.

Lulu has stopped by Jason's on her way to her date with Dillon. She is nervous and doesn't want anyone falling in love with her because love only complicates things. She challenges Jason to name one time that love actually worked out. He uses his grandparents - Edward and Lila - for an example. She points out that everyone knows that Edward cheated throughout his whole marriage. She says that when you open your heart to someone, something goes wrong and you're left in pain. Jason tells her not to always assume the worst. Lulu says she doesn't know if she'll ever be ready to deal with the love thing. Jason tells her that he thinks she can handle a lot. Lulu doesn't sound so sure, but she has to leave for her date anyway.

Maxi shows up at the PCPD. She says a chipper, "Hi Dad" to Mac then announces that she's brought brownies for Port Charles' finest. As the guys gather around the baked goods, she is able to swipe a file from a desk. She goes to the bathroom, and when she comes out, she waits until Mac is on the phone and then slips the file back where she found it. As she leaves, Rodriguez tells her a friendly goodbye (almost as if he saw what she did?)

Milo and Spinelli and slurping what looks like root beer floats at Kelly's. They are talking about Lulu's date with the "film guy" and wondering how they can sabotage it. Spinelli has been able to break into Dillon's Instant Message records so that he can see where the date will take place. Before he can tap into it, Georgie comes in and is perplexed to find two guys sitting around waiting for their turn to date Lulu. She blurts out that Dillon is setting up an irresistible romantic date right now at the Overlook.

Maxi returns to Kelly's and plops a PCPD file down on the counter in front of Coop. Georgie grabs it and asks what Maxi is up to. Maxi tells her to stop being holier than thou. Coop asks Georgie to give Maxi a break and she rolls her eyes and leaves.

Spinelli rushes home and learns from Jason that Lulu just left for her date. He wants to know what Jason does to get women to love him so much. He says that he doesn't have the steely glare or muscles, but how can he get Lulu to choose him? In short, he wants to know the secret of Jason's mojo. Jason's only advice is to be honest. Spinelli says that Jason isn't exactly honest, more like he is brooding and burning with secret pain. Jason tells him to quit while he's ahead. Spinelli realizes that if he can get Lulu to see that he needs her to take care of him, she'll run away from the film guy! Jason gets a call from Stan and is visibly happy to have an excuse to go out for a while. Spinelli does his best hulk impersonation as he grabs some keys from Jason's desk and puts Stone Cold's leather jacket on.

"Since when do you brood?" Hilarious.

Lulu arrives at the date location, in a white dress as Dillon has requested. He asks her to close her eye while he describes a lovely scene to her - a similar scene that inspired Picasso. She interrupts him and asks if they can just be themselves. She reminds him that she is more of a rock 'n roll and burgers gal. She says that the stage Dillon set is sweet, but it reminds her of what someone might do on their 25th anniversary. Dillon admits it's kind of corny, but is glad that she is with him. As they start to talk, they hear a motorcycle approach in the background, followed by a crash and then moaning. Lulu goes running and brings a ruffled Spinelli back to their table. He says that he was riding Jason's bike and brooding. "Since when do you brood?" Dillon asks. Lulu says that she will help Spinelli get Jason's bike back so that he won't get in trouble with Jason. She thanks Dillon for the sweet date and leaves with Spinelli. Dillon is angry and goes to find Milo to tell him how suspicious he is of Spinelli's coincidental bike accident.

The press has gone to Sonny's warehouse and so have Jason and Diane, followed by Sam. Diane says that Sam needs to sign a restraining order to keep the press away, but Sam says that she is supposed to be generating publicity for the show.

Lulu brings Spinelli home and says that Jason is sure to notice the dent and the road rash on his leather jacket. Spinelli says that he just wanted to go as far and as fast as he could. Lulu says that she understands the feeling; she used to do the same thing with Edward's Bentley.

Sam has left the "Everyday Heroes" set for the day, but Amelia and the crew are still there. She tells the lighting guy how to fix a certain table lamp. The guy is surprised that she knew the trick and she explains that her father used to have a lamp just like it.

NEXT on GH:
