As Spinelli, Dillon and Lulu get another break in the case, Monica interferes.
Carly wants Liz to stay away from Jason.
Mac and Maxi have a heart-to-heart.
Jason tries to get out the door for work, but Sam catches him and draws him into some more baby making. When they finally pull apart, she hurries off to her first day of work.
Carly finally has Sonny's attention for a moment and tells him that he took advantage of her on New Year's Eve. He tells her it was a simple kiss. He suggests that she ask herself why it mattered so much. She contends that he continues to take advantage of her during emotional situations. He tells her that they will always feel a pull towards each other whether she's married or not.
At the hospital, Liz tells Epiphany that she doubts if Maxi was ever pregnant in the first place, even though Dr. Lee says Maxi's early blood tests were positive. Epiphany tells Liz that she should get busy and prove it and that Maxi Jones is no match for her!
Pete finds Georgie at Kelly's and asks if she can come over to his place tonight to read some of his pages. And, he wants to try out his new pasta recipe on her.
At home, Lorenzo asks Skye why she's starting to care about him all of a sudden. He's not complaining, but is curious. She tells him that their daughter deserves a family. Then she tells him that there are some wonderful ways to pay tribute to Diego, for example, he can set up some kind of youth center for teens at risk for trouble. He likes the idea and she offers to call someone at the Courtney Matthews foundation. As she reaches for his cell phone, he jumps and tells her not to use it because it's for "certain sources". He doesn't want her speaking with the people who call him. In fact, a delicate shipment is about to arrive and he'd like Skye to take the baby out of the country for a little while.
Spinelli, Dillon and Lulu go to Kelly's to continue their research. Because of the time he had on Epiphany's computer, he is now able to open up a hospital file from his laptop. He's looking around for a little while and then spots what he's looking for. Alan Quartermaine's time sheets! As it turns out, he clocked out of work at 9 pm the night that Rick was murdered. Lulu excitedly points out that he would've had plenty of time to get over to the attic and kill Rick. Monica is at Kelly's too. She's overheard what they are working on and approaches their table. She tells Dillon that he and Lulu need to get away from Spinelli because he is a bad influence on them.
Carly goes to Jason's and asks him to tell Sonny to stop pursuing her. Jason tells them that unless it's hurting the boys they need to work it out on their own. He goes on to say that having kids is a big decision. Carly suspects that he is holding something back from her. He tells her that nothing is going on, but she guesses that either he and Sam are trying for a baby, or Liz has suddenly decided that Lucky isn't the father of her baby. She tells Jason that he trusts Liz too much and she just doesn't like her. Carly says that Lucky needs to be Liz's hero, not him.
Sonny and Bernie are talking about the shipment that is coming in when Alexis comes in bringing some paperwork that she wants Sonny to fill out regarding Kristina. He asks why she's really there. She fesses up that she has another reason for being there. She tells him that since he's already a criminal she has a favor. But then she chickens out and tells him to forget it. Sonny deadpans, "You need more weed, don't ya?" She tells him that she's still the DA, for pete's sake, that's not what she needs. Sonny tells her to stop worrying that she's going to "succumb to refer madness," and that he knows the weed helps her. In turn, it helps her girls.
Lulu and Dillon wonder why Monica is so paranoid of Spinelli. Spinelli thinks that parents are intimidated by his "ridiculous skills". Lulu thinks there's a reason that Monica doesn't what them to work on this case. Max and Milo come into Kelly's looking for Spinelli because Sonny wants to see him. After they leave, Dillon tells Lulu that Milo's crush on her is cute. Lulu says that Milo is cute and maybe she should go out with him.
Sam's boss is hounding Sam for being three minutes late on her first day on the job. She reminds Sam of her less than stellar resume and asks if she was too busy dodging bullets to show up on time? Frustrated with the interrogation, Sam shouts, "My boyfriend and I were having sex, okay?" At the nurse's desk, Liz hears! Sam tells her boss that she and her boyfriend are trying to conceive a baby, does she want more details? The boss warns her to be on time from now on and rushes off.
Georgie is up in the attic at her house looking for some old photos to give to the professor, and Dillon and Lulu show up to work on the case. Georgie is embarrassed to see them together and hurries off. Dillon is surprised to realize that Georgie doesn't seem to care that Lulu and he are working so closely together.
Spinelli is deposited in Sonny's office. He tells "Godfather" (Sonny) that his computer skills are at his command. Then, he slips and calls Sonny "Pacinoesque one", which doesn't go over well. Sonny tells him to sit down and listen. He says that he needs to use him much in the same way that Alcazar did. But before Sonny could lay it out for him, Ric comes in and jumps all over seeing the two of them together. Spinelli tells Ric that they were just shooting the breeze, but Sonny tells Ric that he is having all their computers overhauled. Ric tells Sonny that he's come to tell him that his custody hearing is soon, he'd better be ready to be called as a witness. Sonny says he's going to tell the truth.
Georgie goes to Pete's house and gives him some old photos that she has of Hollywood. He loves them. Then hands over his pages for her to read and brings her a glass of wine. After she has read for a while, she excitedly tells Pete that she loves what he's done. He tells her that from now on, she is the first person he'll show his work to. He makes a toast to the best assistant a writer can have.
Mac runs into Maxi and they have a good talk. He apologizes for being too busy lately to spend time with her. He knows that she's had a terrible time lately, and he's sorry about that. Maxi tells him that he is wonderful and deserves a much better daughter than she is. She explains that Georgie got a 4.0 on her grade card again. Mac tells Maxi that he's proud of her, as well because she's learned how to deal with adversity and move on. She tells her dad that Lucky isn't a bad guy at all; he just doesn't feel like he can measure up to his family's expectations. Just like her. She tells Mac that she is wedged right in between Robin and Georgie, his two perfect daughters. He tells her that she is every bit as smart and loved as they are. He tells her that he believes in her and he always will. Maxi has tears rolling down her face, and they hug.
In the attic, Lulu and Dillon do another run-through of the murder. Now that they are wondering if Alan had anything to do with it, they look at the scene in a different light. He's really tall, so they need to see if forensics found any evidence on the ceiling fan. Then Dillon trips over something and lands flat on his face. They laugh for a minute and as he starts to get up, he sees something under the sofa. They reach for it and find a date book from 2002. It's Rick Webber's planner!
Carly finds Liz at work to tell her to leave Jason alone and stop going to him every time she's in need. "You're the one night stand who won't leave," Carly spews. Liz tells her that her relationship with Jason is much more than that! Liz tells Carly that not too long ago, Jason asked her to marry him. Carly tells Liz that she is the most calculating woman she knows and is just waiting for her chance to pounce. Sam has overhead this whole conversation.
Monica calls Lucky. She is very friendly, but tells him how concerned she is about Lulu. She's been hanging out with dangerous people. She asks Lucky to help protect his sister from trouble. Monica tells Lucky that Luke would handle it, but he's not here. Monica offers to pay the cost to transfer Lulu to another college.
Jason goes to Sonny and reports that Alcazar's shipment has been intercepted. Alcazar gets a phone call that his shipment has been high jacked. Lorenzo is furious and tells Skye that he is going to recover what's his. The double secret phone rings! The voice on the phone threatens that there will be serious consequences if anything happens to that shipment.
