I think Olivia would fit with Sonny because they share such a long history. She's been around the block. She knows what the mob is and isn't. And frankly, she's one tough bird. I happen to like her with Sonny. She's strong enough to deal with him. She dosn't take any guff.

Olivia won't be able to stay with Johnny because he IS too young for her. Fun is fun, but when you get right down to it, I think she knows it's not a relationship. I love Jason with Liz. However, I also love Jason with Sam. (heck, I love him with anyone). He know's he can't be with Liz and so he will do the right thing. Maybe he is attracted to woman like Liz (goody-goody) because deep down inside there is still a part of the old Jason still there. Remember when he became boss. He tried very hard to keep the peace, look how he is with children, look how he is with Spinn. In other words, Jason still has some endearing and kind qualities in him. I think that is why so many of us love him.

Ringleader...I have to disagree about one thing in your comment, Courtney wasn't a goody two shoe. She was stripper who cheated on her husband with his brother Jason, left him to be with Jax then cheated on him with Nic, which let to the breakup of Nic/Emily. Liz is also not a goody two shoe either responsible mother yes, goody two shoe NOT. Robin is the only one worthy of the goody two shoe Crown.

Ringleader you have assessed the situations regarding Alexis and the Mayor, and Liz and Jason beautifully. You are not sure about Olivia being a gangster's wife or moll. Sorry to differ but I think she is perfect for the role.

Read "Divorced from the Mob" by Andrea Gionvini, an autobiography of a woman from Brooklyn who was a wife of and mistress to several mobsters. I could see Olivia on every page. She has already moved in on Kate's territory and sabotaged her wedding to Sonny. Olivia may be with Johnny right now, but Sonny is going to stake his claim. Behind Olivia's beautiful exterior is a heart as cold and calculating as Claudia's. It is just that Olivia is better at the power game. I would not be too surprised to find out that the hook up with Johnny was not accidental.

Citigirl - I suppose it depends on how you define "goody two shoes" and I am also putting this in soap context, not real life context. I look at it as being the type who tries (but sometimes fails) to do the right thing. You're right that both Liz and Courtney have their done bad things and neither one is perfect. But they are, at a minimum, law abiding citizens and I think they have always wanted to and tried to do the right thing. I'd contrast that to characters like Carly, Sam or Claudia, who are known for their scheming, manipulating and even outright law breaking. The difference with what I see as the "good girls" (Liz, Courtney & Robin) and the "bad girls" (Carly, Tracy and Claudia) is that when the good girls do something wrong, they are sorry about what they did, but when the bad girls do something wrong, they are sorry that they got caught. To me, that's the difference.

I think Courtney fell in the "good girl" category even with what you mentionned. As I recall, she worked as a stripper because she was forced to do so (and I think it was to protect AJ from something he had done), not because it was something she chose to do voluntarily. I also don't look at cheating on AJ with Jason as necessarily wrong since the only reason AJ married Courtney in the first place was so he could try to "trade" her to Sonny for Michael. To me (and maybe I'm twisted that way), Courtney didn't owe AJ any loyalty or fidelity because of that. I look at Courtney as a "good girl" because she couldn't accept or fit into Jason's life. She knew what he did was illegal and "wrong" and couldn't accept it. Same thing with Liz. That's why I would put those two in that category.

Cynic, I don't disagree that Olivia would be a good mob wife/girlfriend, but I just don't have enough information to make up my mind. I agree with all of what you wrote, but it really seems to me that Olivia has a strong desire to stay away from the mob scene - and I don't think that is entirely because of Dante. I see Olivia as a strong woman with a mind of her own who not only wants, but expects, to be treated as an equal. And that is despite coming from a Catholic, Italian family (one with which I can personally relate), which can TEND TO BE a very male chauvanistic culture. I'm not sure if she could handle being with Sonny and him needing to keep things from her because of his business. I'm thinking about the problems Brenda had with it as opposed to Lily who understood the business. I just don't know if Olivia would be able to accept being "dismissed" from a room when business was being discussed. That's all I meant by it. You may be right that she'd be just fine with it, but all I'm saying is that I don't have enough information to form my opinion about it (in advance of it happening, that is).

Ringleader...Since you explained yourself so eloquently I agree with you 100%. Is just that you see them bounce around from one partner to the other so fast on this show is hard to keep them that group. They even shoot people even though is in self-defense you forget they're not as manipulative and nasty as Carly & Claudia.

ringleader: I think you misunderstood my conversation with Aussie. I did not say that Liz and Jason should or should not be together. I stated that they "shared a moment" on friday and Aussie said she did not see that. You can "have her back" all you want, even though I didn't realize we were the sharks and the Jets on this site...I was only stating that the script was written and acted out as a moment between to people who could not be together. I do find it strange that you feel she needs to have her back covered. Not the violent type..just havin' fun.

ransomha - I suppose I did misunderstand the nature of the conversation, so my bad, but I still agree with aussie (I think). I don't know so much as it was a "moment" as it was an akward interaction between two former lovers who have moved on. But to each his own. As far as statement about having aussie's back on this, I certainly didn't intend to imply that anyone here was capable of violence! I used that term more in the casual "I'm on your side" way that my social circle commonly uses that phrase. I didn't mean to imply anything more than that (even if the discussions on this board get a bit heated at times)! LOL
