General Hospital - DAILY UPDATES

Kate has asked Carly to come to her hospital room. When she arrives, Kate tries to apologize to her for focusing on all the wrong things in the past. Carly isn't in the accepting mood and taunts Kate with her 'Connie Falconeri' background. Kate changes the subject and says that she really wanted to believe that Sonny was out of the mob. Then she asks Carly to do something for Sonny that she hasn't been able to accomplish. She asks Carly to talk Sonny out of going back into the mob. Carly tells Kate that she can't stand her, but she will talk to Sonny because he matters to her.

Out on the waterfront, Jerry tells Karpov that it's bad manners to kill the woman who you're sleeping with. Karpov says that if Jerry won't kill Alexis, he will! Jerry says that killing the D.A. will draw too much attention and then suggests that they focus Alexis' attention on someone else.

Sonny is at the D.A.'s office with Alexis. Things between them are getting heated and he says that he's the only person who can make the Karpov situation go away. She urges him to leave Kate's shooting up to the law to avenge, but he doesn't see it that way. He reminds her that she went to Jerry when Anthony went after Kristina instead of letting the cops deal with it. Alexis hates it when he's right. She changes tact and tells him that Kate loves him and will forgive him for her shooting, but not if he goes back into the mob. Sonny repeats that she shouldn't waste the police's time on going after Karpov. Alexis makes one more impassioned plea, but his response is simply to tell their daughter that he loves her.

Patrick is talking to Coleman over at Jake's. He asks whether or not he should keep the secret that Sonny has a son who he doesn't know about from Robin. Coleman doesn't get why Robin would need to know, so Patrick explains how close Robin is with Sonny. He says that if he had a kid out there, he'd want to know. Coleman asks if Patrick wants Corinthos' kid to end up dead? Patrick keeps drinking and then realizes how instrumental Coleman has been in his relationship with Robin.

At the other end of the bar, Olivia tells Claudia to stop talking to her because the Zaccharas are thieves and drug runners. She accuses Claudia of never working a day in her life and riding her daddy's coat tails around. Claudia turns the tables and starts talking about how jealous she must be of her cousin. She brags that she took Sonny away from Kate once and could do it again any time. Olivia says that Sonny's had a Madonna/tramp complex since high school and it's clear which category Claudia falls into. Coleman can hear their voices getting louder, so he tells them to cool it. Olivia tells Claudia to 'bring it' and then leaves. Claudia tells Coleman to clean up the clientele around there.

Maxie meets Robin at GH and notices Robin's flashy engagement ring right away. She immediately starts taking notes so that she can help plan the wedding. Robin asks her to be the maid-of-honor and she is thrilled. She starts talking about the dress, shoes and flowers and hopes that Patrick owns a decent tux. As Maxie takes tons of notes, Patrick calls Robin and tells her to come down to Jake's right now because he'd like her to meet his best man. Robin hangs up and tells Maxie to come along because the best man might be the man of her dreams.

Carly shows up at Sonny's house and tells him not to avenge his phony fiancée. She wants him to let Jason handle it, but Sonny announces that his so-called friend Jason turned him down! He will handle this himself. Carly asks what she's supposed to tell Morgan if he gets killed? He won't let her dangle his son in front of him now, after taking him away from him before! He tells her to tell Morgan that his father will take care of everything.

Sam meets Karpov on the docks and learns that he wants her to land a shipment tonight. She pulls out a map and shows him the route that she would like to take and is totally unaware of the fact that they are being photographed.

Olivia brings Kate some soup and Kate immediately can see that she's all worked up. Olivia tells her about meeting a skank called Claudia Zacchara, but she won't get in her face ever again. Kate says that she is a dangerous woman! Then she reminds Olivia that she kept Dante from Sonny to avoid danger, but now she's pushing Claudia Zacchara's buttons.

Sam comes home and tells Lucky that this next shipment will give her all she needs to bust Karpov. They sit down to a stir-fry dinner that Lucky has cooked and agree that as soon as it's over, they can get on with their lives and finally move in together.

Meanwhile, Jerry takes some surveillance photos to Alexis. She opens them up and sees Sam looking at maps with Karpov.

When Robin and Maxie show up at Jake's, Patrick proudly introduces Coleman as his best man. Robin smiles and says that is an interesting choice. In private, Maxie protests as she says there must be a better choice, like Matt Hunter. Patrick walks over and joins them and they all wonder if they've ever even seen Coleman outside of Jake's? Coleman breaks out the tequila shots to celebrate and offers to teach Maxie how to drink one. It's too late because she's already slammed it down.

Back at the waterfront Karpov is carrying on a phone conversation in Russian, but is interrupted by a gunshot. He ducks and Sonny grins from behind his cover. He steps out and holds the gun right up to Karpov's temple, announcing that he wants to see his face when he pulls the trigger.

Kate and Olivia argue over the secret they're keeping from Sonny.

Max, Milo and Maximus arrive just in time to save Sonny from Karpov.

Carly tips Jason off, and Jason pays Sonny a visit.
