Max tells his father that Carly is his woman, Olivia directs Alexis to go after Karpov and Patrick and Robin pick their wedding date.

Spinelli and Maxie stay hidden beneath Kate's desk while the looters do their work on the Crimson offices. When they are sure that the goons are gone, they come out from hiding and inspect the damage. Maxie's upset about the mess, but Spinelli quickly finds what he calls a 'missive'. It's a note that says, "Next time Kate Howard dies." They decide to take it over to Jason's office.

But things are hardly status quo within the Morgan Organization at the moment. Carly flounders as she finds Max behind Jason's desk and Jason taking orders. Diane steps in to make the introductions, and Carly finally gets that Maximus needs to think that Max is the boss. Jason asks 'Mrs. C.' if she'd like anything to drink, and Max blurts out that Carly is his girlfriend, but she prefers to be called his 'little lady'. Diane is seething as Carly pushes her way into Max's arms for a big cuddle. She says that she really loves her big guy. Diane escorts Carly out and the second they are gone, Maximus tells his son to dump her so that he can have her.

As Max tries to explain why Carly is too fragile for Maximus, Spinelli and Maxie push into the office to tell Stone Cold about the death threat to Kate. Maximus interrupts their rambling to ask why Spinelli talks like a cartoon character? Maxie defends his honor by saying that he's a computer genius! Maximus notes that his guys hired a techy once and it was a sad day when they had to whack him. Maxie quickly changes the subject and Maximus calls her a 'smart cookie'. Then he asks 'Muscles' (Jason) to get the lady a drink. She gladly asks for a latte, some of those cookies with chocolate on them and a fashion magazine. After Jason has returned with Maxie's wish list, she says they need to deal with Karpov now and produces the threatening letter left at Crimson. Maximus recognizes the name and says that Karpov is too smart to be that obvious.

Over at GH, Robin has popped into Kate's to talk. They don't know each other well, but Robin wants to remedy that. She gives a tender description of how she, Sonny and Stone all came together years ago. Then she expresses her worry that Sonny's natural instinct is to go back to the mob now, and wonders if Kate can stop him. Kate says that she might have been wrong to try to change him. Then asks Robin permission to ask something personal. "If that baby you're carrying was Sonny's, would you take that secret to your grave?" Patrick has stepped into the doorway and overheard.

Later, Patrick finds Robin and confesses that he was eavesdropping on her conversation with Kate. She forgives him this one time and asks what's bothering him. He rambles a little about Sonny's children and the danger that they are constantly in. She jokes that her baby isn't Sonny's and asks why he is so interested in Sonny's kids? Patrick shakes it off and asks what kind of wedding she'd like to have. They joke about crossing the state line to elope, but then start to list a few of the people they'd like to include in their big day. Finally, they realize that they'd better just have a real wedding, and the only question is should it before or after the baby is born. Robin suggests that they both be honest and blurt out their wish on the count of three. "One, two, three…before!" they both say simultaneously. They can't believe that they agree on something! So, they look at the calendar and come up with October 29 as their wedding day.

Sonny comes upon Olivia as she's tuning up the engine on Kate's car. She snipes at him for not having anyone take better care of his fiancée's car. He asks her to come right out and tell him what's got her so upset. Happy for the invitation, Olivia tells him that he can have the money and the power that goes along with being a mobster, or he can have Kate, but he cannot have both. He is agitated as he explains that he tried to get out of the business but it's not an option now.

Just then, Alexis arrives and introduces herself to Olivia. Then she asks Sonny for a statement about Kate's shooting. Olivia promptly raises her hand and offers that some Russian Guido named Karpov did it. She explains everything that she's been able to put together about Karpov and Sonny's business relationship and Alexis thanks her for her cooperation. Then she comments to Sonny that she's not used to that! After she's gone, Sonny goes off on Olivia for blabbing her big mouth. She tells him that she tells the truth and it's tough if he doesn't like it.

Lucky and Sam are having a romantic evening together. After they make love, Sam says that she is starting to dread it when one of them has to go home. Lucky asks if she's ready to talk about the future? Sam says that she thinks that she is. That's when Lucky tells her that he's in love with her. Sam says that she's really happy, and loves him too.

Coleman welcomes 'Wild Thing' (Claudia) into Jake's and pours her a vodka. She asks if she can rent a room upstairs, if it's not too filthy. He tells her that he even has one with a shower for just $50. Soon, Ric arrives for their date, a little surprised at the location that she chose. They proceed to shoot a game of pool and then she presents a big key. He asks if it's the key to her heart, but she says it's the key to something else. Before they go upstairs, Claudia gives him the chance to end what they're doing now with no hard feelings. Ric kisses her and says that he's not afraid of her brother, or her.

Andre Karpov is summoned to Alexis's office. When he arrives, she asks how he managed to return to the country after his VISA was revoked. Without waiting for his response, Alexis tells him that he had an innocent woman shot on her wedding day and she intends on bringing charges against him.

Patrick shows up at Jake's and tells Coleman that congratulations are in order because he's getting married. Coleman asks why he looks so worried then? So, Patrick asks a hypothetical question about keeping a child safe from a dangerous father. Coleman looks confused. A few stools down the bar, Olivia is sipping a cocktail. Claudia comes downstairs for a couple drinks and introduces herself.

Karpov meets with Jerry on the waterfront. He tells Jerry to kill his girlfriend.
Meanwhile, Sonny busts into Alexis's office and tells her not to investigate Karpov just because some visitor from Bensonhurst said so. Alexis says that would interfere with his revenge, wouldn't it? They both insist that the other 'stop it'!
