Patrick turns Robin down, Sonny asserts himself to Jason and Kate spills the beans that Olivia had Sonny's son!
Nadine has walked into The Metro Court and is surprised to see Carly sitting with Nikolas. Carly's fussing with his collar and teasing him for not letting his butler dress him this morning. Nik playfully tells her that there may be a job for her as his personal dresser after he buys The Metro Court. Carly contends that he just wants a 'new toy' to take his mind off of something else. He continues to deny it, and asks if she doesn't want to establish herself separately from Jax, especially with their divorce looming? Carly promises to think about it.
Meanwhile, Nadine has been lurking around behind the sofa to be able to hear what they're talking about. Finally, Marty busts her. She whispers that she doesn't want to call attention to herself and asks if she can listen a little while longer. It doesn't matter, because by now, Nikolas is leaving and she never got to hear that they were just talking business.
Later, Jax finds Carly and tells her that Nik is playing her. She says that he made a pretty good offer. Jax says that they're vulnerable because of the divorce, but Carly reminds him that he is the one who does corporate takeovers in similar situations. Jax can't see the parallel, so Carly assures him that she loves The Metro Court and doesn't want to sell. He, however, should be the one to sell to Nikolas. She explains that they won't have to trip over each other if he's gone. Jax doesn't want to sell. She reminds him that this is his chance for freedom from her and reminds him that is what he wants.
At GH, Robin has just asked Patrick to marry her. He beams with love as he says, "No." He says that she genuinely doesn't want to be married and shouldn't marry him just because it's what he wants. He thinks she changed her mind directly as a result of Kate's shooting. Robin denies it and says that spending time with her dad during his cancer treatments has made her think about life. Patrick doesn't want her to ever regret being his wife. Robin promises that she'll never regret it, except when he leaves dishes in the sink or doesn't do diaper duty. Patrick says that he was selfish and insensitive to push her into marriage, and now he thinks it's better to keep things the way they are. He is going to try to accept the fact that she needs distance to feel safe. He kisses her and leaves her alone.
Before long, Anna finds her and says that she's ready to go shopping for the 'closet' (nursery). Robin sadly tells her that she asked Patrick to marry her, but he turned her down. She explains to her mother about the conversation she had with Sonny and how he helped her to realize that she was wasting an opportunity to share her life with Patrick. But now, Patrick is the one standing in their way and she is determined to fix that.
Down the hall, Sonny tells Olivia that Dr. Drake says that Kate will make a full recovery. Olivia thanks God, but calls Sonny on his lie to Kate about retiring from the mob. She asks who is going to tell Kate, her or him? He guesses that she has spoken with Carly so he proceeds to explain everything that happened with Michael and explains that's why he signed over his business and his sons. Patrick comes in to see if Kate has woken yet. He says it should happen any minute, and reminds them that she'll be disoriented, so whatever she wanted to tell Sonny before surgery might not make sense now. Olivia seems concerned.
Mac comes in the room to ask questions about the shooting. He asks Sonny if he's made any new enemies in the coffee business. Sonny denies it, but Mac says that he thought Sonny would learn after what happened to Michael, but it looks like business as usual. After Mac leaves, Sonny says that he has somewhere to go and asks Olivia to stay with Kate.
Bernie has stopped by Jason's office to talk to Spinelli. Jason walks in as Bernie asks him to remind Jason to act in the best interest of the organization rather than do Sonny's bidding. Bernie turns to Jason and delivers his opinion himself. He reminds Jason that retaliating will cost them lives. After Bernie leaves, Spinelli says that Jason should indeed do as Mr. C. asks. He uses Greek mythology to explain why it's in Jason's best interest, but Jason says that would be taking the coward's way out. As they continue to talk, Nadine calls Spinelli and asks him to meet her. Jason thanks him for talking it through with him, and tells him to go.
Spinelli rushes down to the Spoon Island launch to meet Nadine. She starts rambling about how she thought Nikolas would be different after last night and how she needs to send a clear signal. Spinelli tries to follow, but is confused. When Nadine sees Nikolas approaching, she plants a big kiss on Spinelli.
Sonny walks into Jason's office. Jason asks about Kate, and then says he's happy to hear she's going to be fine. Sonny cuts to the chase. He says that he's taking over and is going to tell Jason what to do from now on.
Back at GH, Patrick asks Olivia to step out so he can examine Kate. Soon Kate wakes up and tells Patrick that Sonny needs to know that Olivia had his son. Outside the room, Olivia is talking on the phone. She's telling the person on the other end that Connie needs her family and she needs to stay in Port Charles for a while. Then she says, "Dante Angelo Falconeri, take that tone out of your voice, I am your mother!"

Sonny is enraged when Jason doesn't hand him his power back.
Anthony offers Sonny all the resources of his organization (so that he'll face off with Jason).
Ric and Claudia can't hold off any longer, they have hot, steamy sex.
Johnny walks in on them.
Nadine kisses Spinelli to make Nik jealous.
Nik goes to Elizabeth for advice.
Johnny figures out that his father shot Kate and is faking his paralysis.
