Olivia puts Patrick on warning, Nadine and Nik make love and Johnny rebels.
Things are pretty sad at General Hospital. Jason has apologized to Elizabeth for not meeting her at the airport, but explains what happened to Kate at her wedding. He takes her into Kate's room and tells her that 'this' is how she could end up if she shares her life with him. Olivia comes in and tells Jason not to use her cousin as 'exhibit A' in his conversations with his girlfriend.
Elizabeth leaves the room out of respect. Sonny urges Jason to look at Kate and think about what he would do if Elizabeth was lying there. Jason calmly tells him, again, that he is not going to take action against Karpov. He steps outside and finds Spinelli waiting for him. He informs Jason that he changed the flights for him and Elizabeth and that with a mob war brewing, a little distance might be exactly what he needs. Jason tells him 'no'.
Patrick and Robin find Sonny in Kate's room with Olivia. Robin rushes into Sonny's arms and says how sorry she is about what happened. Sonny introduces Olivia, and asks Patrick when he can operate on Kate. Olivia holds up her hand and reminds everyone that she is the only member of Kate's family here, so she calls the shots. She gets in Patrick's face and tells him that her cousin had better walk again. Patrick explains that the bullet is lodged near Kate's spine, but if they operate too soon, she'll die on the table. If they wait too long, however, her chances of paralysis are greater. Robin looks over the latest test results and says that Kate is about to come off the ventilator, so that's a good sign.
Claudia has come to GH to see Sonny. He sees her at the nurses' desk and tries to send her away. She tells him that she's very sorry for what happened to Kate, and then asks if there's anything she can do. She says that she knows he's heartsick, but points out that the two of them are exactly alike. She tells him that she knows that he's full of rage and is ready to lash out. Sonny's just quiet.
Things are pretty heated out at the Zacchara mansion. Johnny is upset about Lulu, but it comes off as anger when pitted against his father. Trevor announces that Karpov is landing a shipment tonight because he knows that Kate's shooting has everyone distracted. Trevor wants to take action against Karpov, but Ric says that they should let the shipment land so maybe Jason will take him out. Anthony sides with Ric.
Over at The Metro Court, Jax pulls himself away from his kiss with Carly. He clarifies that he wants to keep her and Morgan safe, but he doesn't want to get back together. He tells her that she's the most amazing woman he's ever met, but he can't get past her sleeping with Sonny. After he leaves, Carly does what she always does. She cries, and then calls Jason.
Jason comes to Carly's room and checks out the security situation. He tells her that he thinks she and Morgan are safe because the shooter wasn't going after Sonny. Kate was the intended target, he explains. He tells her about the Russian bullet, but that Karpov denies it. He says that Sonny wants him to take Karpov out, but he told him no because they don't have the facts. Carly says that Sonny will play on his loyalty until he gets him to agree. "When have you been able to refuse Sonny anything, even when he's wrong?" she asks.
Nadine and Nikolas had a close call in the harbor after they bailed off of Karpov's boat and Nadine nearly drowned. Once they have made it back to Wyndemere and into dry clothes, she tells Nik that she doesn't want to be alone. Nadine says that as she felt herself sinking deeper and deeper into the water, she was sad that she never got to be with him. Nikolas interrupts and says that he is a bad emotional risk for her to take and…Nadine cuts him off. She tells him to stop thinking, stop talking, and, "just go with it." After a long and passionate kiss, Nik pulls away to tell her that he's been wanting this for a long time. After they make love, Nadine curls up in his bed and falls asleep next to him.
Johnny's bodyguard catches up with him on the waterfront and tells him that he's too drunk to take his boat out. Johnny knocks him out and asks if he wants to bet how many times his boat can circle the Russian freighter?
Claudia goes back home and finds Ric alone. She says it went just fine with Sonny, and then asks Ric why he's so quick to agree with her father that Karpov was Kate's shooter. Ric says that it makes sense to him, that's all. Then he moves in for a kiss, but Claudia pulls away. She tells him that he's playing her. As she walks away she tosses back one more comment, "I kinda like it."
Back at GH, Patrick is in with Kate when she starts to stir. Patrick tells her where she is and that Sonny's in the hallway. She murmurs that if she dies, he should tell Sonny something. "I should've told him. Sonny has…" and then she drifts off again.
Next on General Hospital:
Max helps Jason to conclude that he will do as Sonny asked him to.
Patrick gives Sonny some good news.
Olivia goes to Carly for some answers.
Johnny provokes Scott into beating him up.
Ric and Claudia's mutual attraction is getting stronger.
Robin decides that life is too short, so she proposes to Patrick.
Johnny tells Anthony that he's ready to be the son he's always wanted.

Absolutely! I agree that Ric is 'slime!' For a while I thought he was changing his 'colors', becoming more human, and likable! Nada! 
I do like the chemistry between Ric and Claudia. They deserve each other! hehehe Nic and Nadine ~~~~ Contrary to several fans not liking Nadine and Nic together, I like them! JMO! 
Jason and Liz ~~~~ I will never give up on wanting them to be together! I'm a Liason fan no matter what!! hehehe JMO! I agree that I want Kate to live and marry Sonny. They've had Kate's 'Dream Wedding' and it was a disaster. Maybe this time they'll just have the hospital Chaplain marry them in a totally private ceremony! hehehe
