General Hospital - DAILY UPDATES

Olivia orders a beer and a shot and then says that when Lois Cerullo called her, she had to come out to see what's going on. She comments about the 'five minutes' that they dated in high school and notes that this can't be about that. Sonny clarifies that he's marrying her cousin. Olivia says that Kate Howard is not her cousin, and Connie is long gone. He explains how it happened that he and Kate got back together after so many years. Olivia is doubtful that Kate's fancy new pedigree is a good match for a gangster husband. Sonny tells her that he's merely a coffee importer these days. Then he gets to his point and explains how difficult it is for Kate to be without her family. Olivia angrily says that Connie cut ties with them. Sonny tries to explain away Kate's decision in order to achieve her dream. He says that Kate misses her past and he'd like to bring some of that to their wedding. Olivia asks if he's talking about a cake from their aunt or some food from the deli? Sonny clarifies that he wants her to attend the wedding. Against her better judgment, she agrees.

Back in Port Charles, Kate is in Jason's office asking him to come to her wedding. He says that he can't come unless Sonny does the inviting. Kate tells him that Sonny considers him to be family and is sorry that her invitation isn't enough. After she's gone, Carly shows up to hide out for a while. Home is too sad for her lately, she says, without Michael and Jax. She talks about how much she hurt Jax and how he was the best thing that ever happened to her. Jason says at least it looks like she learned a lesson. Carly doesn't find that at all comforting.

Sam pulls back from Jerry's advances on her sofa. She tells him this is just a game for him and he's just trying to see how far she'll go. He doesn't deny it, so Sam moves in for a kiss. Jerry pulls away and says that he's not lost his mind completely and Alexis could walk in any minute. He suggests that they move to his hotel room, or else he'll have to assume that this is a setup. Sam says that they'll be seen at The Metro Court, and asserts that she is the one being played because Jerry is emotionally attached to her mother. She tells him that she's available, but only after he's ended it with Alexis. Jerry leaves to consider his options.

"Mom, please wake up," Lulu begs Laura to say hello to her sons, who have come out to Shadybrook to see her. Laura remains asleep, so Lucky and Nik assume that Lulu has been hallucinating Laura's recovery. When Lainey comes into the room and knows nothing of Laura's new status, the boys are sure of it. Lulu explains about the LS49 and how Dr. McGuiness spoke to them this morning. Lainey checks the chart and says that there's no Dr. McGuiness on staff and Laura's file says nothing about any recovery. At Lulu's urging, Lainey agrees to administer some tests. After she's gone, Lulu thinks that she has truly lost her mind because none of it was real. Nik walks Lulu back to her room and tries to make her feel better. He reminds her that he had visions of Emily for months and points out that seeing Laura helped her, right?

At GH, Noah is in Matt's room making medical suggestions. Matt says that it's too late to play daddy to him. Patrick speaks up and supports Matt's point of view, but Matt doesn't want him around either. Later, Robin goes in to see Matt. She tells him to drop his attitude toward Patrick because his experience with Noah wasn't all that much better than Matt's. She explains that it took a lot for Patrick to accept Noah back into his life and now he has chosen to defend him instead of his father.

Anna sits with Noah in the lounge. He asks if she is disgusted with him, and she says that it's sad but it would be sadder if he started to drink again. Noah says that he has considered it and Anna tells him that would just trash the rest of his life, too. She says that she has a feeling he can do a heck of a lot better than that.

Kate has gone home and is looking at old pictures of herself and her cousin. Maxie barges in with some work. Kate quickly dismisses the photos as being from her boarding school days. Maxie tells her that the wedding guest list is complete, although now it will be much smaller than originally planned. She asks why there are no 'Howards' on the list and Kate says that her parents are dead and she is an only child. After Maxie leaves, Kate is finally alone with her diary. She reads her notes about how Olivia had briefly dated Sonny, but now he has asked her out.

Maxie goes back to the penthouse and talks to Spinelli about how sad it is for Kate to be without family on her big day. She asks Spinelli if they can take pictures for Lulu and then says that she hopes he'll be her date, right? When Jason comes through the door, she asks who he's taking? Jason says that he's not going and Maxie says that is just rude. Later she tells Spinelli to help her get Jason to the wedding.

Carly is at work going over design changes in the new spa. Kate arrives and tells her that she used Michael as an excuse to do whatever she wants, but that's all over now. She tells Carly to stay away from 'her husband'. Carly informs her that Sonny isn't her husband just yet. She says that she'll go to Sonny whenever she wants to. Unruffled, Kate tells Carly that her connection with Sonny is far deeper than anything she ever had with him.

Lucky goes over to Sam's place and tells her about his visit with Lulu. He says that he wanted to believe Lulu was right about Laura, but nothing has changed. Sam sits with him and listens to his fears about Lulu falling away and ending up just like Laura.

Patrick goes into Matt's room. He tells him about his childhood with their father and then says that he's not walking away from a brother he never knew he had.
