Spinelli needs emergency surgery, Nadine almost gets the kiss she yearns for and Laura reaches out to her troubled daughter.
Maxie begs Spinelli to stay in the car but he rushes across the street to get the goods on Karpov. He is struck by a car that speeds off into the night. Maxie is panicking, but she calls 911 and does her best to assure Spinelli that everything will be alright.
As Nikolas whirls Nadine around on the grounds of Wyndemere, she fantasizes that he's in a tux and she's in a white gown. Evetually gets dizzy and he brings her inside for some water. She assures him that she's okay and wants to try again. As they start to dance, Nik leans in for a kiss but they are interrupted by Nadine's pager. She's being called into the ER to help treat Spinelli.
Over at Kate's house, Sonny has just gotten a drop of blood on her wedding reception gown. She panics and orders him to get salt to throw over their left shoulders. She's worried about the curses they face because he not only saw her in one of her wedding dresses, he got blood on it. Sonny convinces her that they don't need luck because they have love and slowly peels the dress off of her. After they make love, Kate tells Sonny about some of the superstitions that her family ingrained into her. In the end she feels sad because she misses her grandmother and her cousin Olivia. Sonny admits that he's hungry and eager to show her newly developing domestic side, Kate rushes off to the kitchen. While she's gone, he calls Gloria Cerullo in Bensonhurst and asks for a big favor.
Lulu is at the PCPD visiting Johnny but it's Logan that she sees. She makes such a ruckus that Lucky, Claudia and Scotty bust into the interrogation room. Lucky is able to calm Lulu down and convince her to leave with him. After they're gone, Claudia assures Johnny that Lulu is in good hands. Scott comes in and tells Johnny that was a good performance but Lulu will still have to testify. Johnny grabs at Scott but Claudia pulls him off. Scott leaves and Claudia asks Johnny what really happened the night Logan died to spook Lulu so much. Johnny sticks to his story. Just then, Trevor busts in and asks why Scott is petitioning for emergency relocation to Pentonville?!? Claudia says that they need a better lawyer and it's time to call Ric. Johnny agrees and Trevor furiously tells them that Ric is on vacation and can't be reached.
Alexis is having a stress-filled day when Jerry shows up in her office with a picnic basket. Her to-do list is pathetically long, but he convinces her that she is famished and that he only has her body's needs in mind. Alexis gives in to just one glass of wine. Soon Sam comes in, glares at Jerry and says there is no time like the present. Alexis asks what that means and Sam says that she'll come back later, that's all. The spell is broken for Alexis, however, so she kisses Jerry and sends him on his way but asks that he leave the food behind.
Back at Shady Brook, Lucky fills Lainey in about what happened and asks her to talk to Lulu about the night that Logan died. Lainey tells Lucky that Lulu will talk about that when she's ready. Suddenly Lulu speaks up and accuses Lucky of taking her away from Johnny and none of this is his fault! Lainey tells Lulu to rest and pulls Lucky out of the room. That's when she tells him that his sister is getting worse.
Matt and Leyla are at the 3rd floor nurses' station when Spinelli is brought in. After he's taken to an examination room, Nadine shows up and is upset to hear that Dr. Hunter is on the case. She rushes into the room and hears that Spinelli's spleen is ruptured and Matt wants to take it out. Nadine tells Spinelli not to consent! Matt stops her and tells her that her paranoia is out of control. He tells Spinelli that Patrick is off duty and his surgery needs to happen now. Maxie asks Elizabeth what she should do. Putting her personal feelings for Maxie aside, Liz says that Spinelli is bleeding internally and that Dr. Hunter is a good surgeon. Maxie turns to Spinelli and asks what he wants to do. He groggily tells her that his life is happily resting in her lovely hands.
Alexis's office is finally dark for the night. Claudia sneaks in and starts digging around for Ric's cell phone number. Alexis returns and catches her in the act. She promises to have her arrested for evidence tampering.
Lulu goes across the hall to tell Laura how scared she is. She says that she sees Logan more than once a day now and that whatever is grounding her to the real world is like a stretched rubber band that is about to snap. She takes Laura's hands in hers and wishes she had someone who could understand. Then she drops her head into her mother's lap and gives way to tears. Laura's hand slowly moves and starts petting Lulu's hair. She tells her daughter that everything will be alright.
Next on General Hospital:
Laura admits that she has been drifting in and out but hasn't told her doctors.
Carly thinks that the newer, more cheerful Lulu is in denial.
Matt removes Spinelli's spleen.
Spinelli remains in critical condition.
Johnny doesn't want Lulu to testify because he thinks she'll confess to the murder.
Claudia finds Ric in NYC.
Jerry goes to Jax with a warning.
