Alexis and Lucky tell Johnny to confess, Trevor orders Johnny not to confess and Sonny tells Johnny that Lulu would break down on the stand.
Alexis promises Johnny to get him some information about Lulu but begs him to confess to spare her girls. Trevor enters the room and tells Alexis to back off. She reminds him that he has a granddaughter who stands to be killed by his boss! Trevor says that the only way to save her girls is to free Johnny, not force a confession. Alexis glares at Johnny, pushes the girls' pictures closer to him and leaves. Johnny tells Trevor to stop Anthony, but Anthony says that it can't be done.
"You're screaming at a girl who is in shock…what's wrong with you!?!" Sonny yells at Scott when he finds him tormenting Lulu in her room at Shady Brook. Scott tells Sonny that his son was killed and Sonny should understand revenge, right? Sonny threatens to throw a press conference and show the world what a coward he is for going after a girl in a mental hospital. Scott tells Sonny to get Lulu a lawyer and then leaves.
Sonny sees that Lulu has been cowering on the floor against her dresser, so he sits down next to her. He talks about how hopeless he feels during his bipolar episodes and that the more you disconnect, the harder it is to come back. He promises that with medication and good doctors, she can have a good life again. Then he offers to track Luke down so she doesn't feel alone, but Lulu says she doesn't want Luke to know about this because it killed him to watch Laura slip away.
At Kelly's, Anna is gushing over her new little granddaughter-to-be and Mike tells her that grandchildren are the best adventure that life has to offer. Mike and Anna have a little fun at Patrick's expense about how ironic it is that a former playboy has fathered a sweet little princess who will need his protection. They joke and ask about his old pickup lines and although he doesn't share any of them, he says that they all worked.
Things out at Wyndemere between Nik and Nadine are getting heated. He bends her over his desk as they kiss and finally pulls away. Once the panting has subsided, he asks if that was what she wanted. She said that it was. He tells her that he has madness on both sides of his family, an evil grandmother and he even cheated on Emily. "I'm really bad Nadine," he tells her. He says that he likes her but he doesn't want her to risk her heart on him. Then he tells her to leave.
As Nik starts to clean up his desk, Lucky shows up and tells him that Lulu is really starting to remind him of Laura. As they talk about how awful Lulu's life has become since Johnny came into it, Claudia shows up and yells at Lucky for the train wreck that his sister is. Nik urges them both to stop and Claudia says that she only came out to ask Nik not to let Lulu testify.
Spinelli comes home just as "The Slavic Seductress" is buttoning her blouse back up. Sasha tells Jason that she is available to him any time and then leaves. Spinelli reminds Jason that his new lover ordered him held against his will with his feet dangling in mid air. Jason assures him that she was just here to deliver a message, but Spinelli doesn't buy it. Jason forces him to focus on work, but Spinelli ponders aloud instead. He wonders if Stone Cold sees his own reflection in Sasha's icy Slavic eyes. Jason leaves to work for a while and Spinelli calls Maxie the second he's alone.
Kate and Maxie are working at Crimson. Kate stops to tell Maxie that Lulu can have visitors and she is free to go to Shady Brook if she wants. She wants Maxie to pass on that Lulu's job is waiting for her when she returns.
Maxie shows up at Lulu's door with truffles. As they dig into the candy together, Lulu reminds her that they basically hate each other. Maxie tells Lulu not to let Logan ruin her life, and Lulu admits to her hallucinations. Maxie says that she's just in shock and that she would've stabbed him too. In fact, she wishes Georgie had a knife when Diego attacked her and points out that Lulu still has a life to live. She adds that Johnny's whole crazy family is looking after him and she needs to concentrate on herself. She delivers Kate's message about holding Lulu's job for her and Lulu actually smiles when she says, "It must kill you to tell me that."
Sonny goes to the PCPD to see Johnny. Trevor is lurking while Sonny reports that Lulu is coherent but she is very fragile. He warns Johnny that if Lulu is forced to testify, she'll have a break down for sure.
Later, Lucky goes to Johnny to say there's only one way to prevent Lulu from having to go on the stand - confess. He gets in Johnny's face to make his point and Claudia comes in and busts him. She tells Lucky that if he really loved Lulu he'd do whatever he can to save John.
Sonny reports back to Kate about his visit with Lulu. She can see how worried he is and assures him that he is proof that a person can survive mental illness and thrive. Maybe not, Sonny comments. He tells her that he's fine as long as he takes his meds, but admits that there are times when he doesn't want to take them. "I miss that feeling sometimes, the intensity." He reminds Kate that she's never seen him go through a break down and hopefully never will. Kate tells him that they'll manage together and then speaks of "…in sickness and in health."
Nik pays his mother a visit and talks about self-fulfilling prophecies. He talks about Lulu, then Emily and finally Nadine. He tells Laura that he likes Nadine but it would be irresponsible and selfish of him to get involved with her right now.

Liz tells Nik that Emily would want him to find happiness again.
