General Hospital - DAILY UPDATES

Kate and Sonny are dressed and he's showing her just how close Johnny's bullet came to killing him. She urges him to call the police, but Sonny reminds her that he held Johnny captive recently. He insists that the cops have no place in his business and then announces that he is going to kill Johnny. She argues that he can give his other children a better life and not to give up faith. He tells her that he can't wish his reality away - his life is terrible and it will never change. Kate tells him that is a crock! She begs him to honor the truce and focus on his legitimate business. He says that he can't control his enemies and therefore can't keep the people he loves safe. They both have tears streaming down their faces as she reminds him that they both made a choice when they left Benson Hurst and changed the courses of their lives - and can do it again.

Out in the abandoned cabin Jason is grappling with Claudia's attacker and asking him questions at the same time. The Q&A session comes to an abrupt end when Claudia is able to grab the goon's gun and kill him. Jason angrily tells her that he wanted the guy alive so he could get information from him. She says that the guy was going to rape her and didn't deserve to live! Jason asks what she plans on doing with the body? Claudia says that she obviously needs his help and besides his fingerprints are all over this place, too. She promises to repay him someday and Jason gets to work.

On the waterfront, Lulu is confronting Johnny for taking a shot at Sonny, who is grieving. Johnny says Sonny took his sister and compassion isn't involved. Lulu argues that compassion is a human emotion and ultimately walks off and leaves him standing there.

The Haunted Star is swinging when Diane comes in looking for Max. Luke greets her and she waits at the roulette table. Next it's Lucky and Sam who arrive and Luke stakes them some chips. Nik and Nadine come in a little later and she tells him to pay attention and learn from her. He scoffs and says that it's all in the odds and he'll teach her later back at Wyndemere. Johnny shows up to talk business with Luke. After Luke gets Tracy out of his hair he tells his partner that he received the first deposit and will "clean it up" right away. Johnny seems satisfied.

Over at the roulette table Lucky and Sam are having fun, but he can tell that her hip is bothering her. She admits that it is and says that the pills the doctors gave her don't seem to be working any more. He gently warns her how addictive they can be. Jerry, who is gambling next to them, notices that Sam is winning and comments that her mommy won on opening night and it must be hereditary. Sam tells him to stay away from her mother, but he says he can't because he likes her.

At that very moment Alexis comes in, along with Mac and Detective Harper, and shuts down The Haunted Star. Mac tells Luke that his patrons are at risk for being caught up in mob activity and that they are suspicious of money laundering. Luke tells his guests that they'll reopen as soon as they get things straightened out. Under her breath, Alexis tells Ric that if he manages to get Anthony released it's only a matter of time before the violence begins.

Nik and Nadine have had enough gambling for the night and are waiting for the launch back to Wyndemere. He talks about his upcoming surgery and how hard it's going to be to never see Emily again. He hopes to see her one last time and then thanks Nadine for not reminding him that Emily was never really here in the first place. Nadine generously says that maybe Emily will come tonight if he goes home alone. As the boat approaches, she thanks him for a good night and then leaves.

Down in the GH morgue, Spinelli has passed out cold after barging in on the autopsy of a man who wasn't Dr. Devlin. Maxie revives him and they get the heck out of there since Dr. Devlin is gone! They go back to the penthouse and fire up the laptop because Spinelli has put a tracking device in Ian's pocket. Maxie tells him that he's brilliant and fun to be around and Spinelli eats it up like a bag of chips.

Just then Lulu arrives and asks if he wants to hang out, but Maxie stands up and says he is busy! Lulu comes right in and tells Maxie to take a hike. Spinelli soft peddles, but is forced to admit that he and Maxie are involved in a project. Lulu agrees to leave, but asks Maxie for a word in the hallway first. She tells Maxie that she's using him as a substitute boyfriend and Maxie thinks Lulu is jealous. When she goes back inside, Spinelli excitedly tells her that the GPS is going to tell them were Devlin is any moment.

Logan and Johnny run into each other on the waterfront. Johnny grabs Logan and tells him that if anything happens to Claudia, Ric Lansing is dead, "Capishe?"

Out near the overlook, Claudia and Jason have finished up with the body and are back at his motorcycle. As he checks to see if the bike was rigged with a bomb, Claudia starts to walk. He tells her that if he dies, Sonny will think she did it and kill her too. (He's reluctantly offering her a ride.) She weighs her options and then decides to get on the bike with him and ride back to town. As he fires up the engine, she nervously grits her teeth.

Sonny shows up at The Haunted Star and Luke tells him that the D.A. shut him down. Sonny asks if he has anything to hide and Luke admits that he received the first payment of dirty money from JZ tonight. Sonny says that he came to tell him something he should know - that this daughter saw Johnny try to kill him tonight. He goes on to say that it's going to get ugly and Luke thanks him for the heads up. He says that he can't do much about who Lulu sees but will try to keep her away. Sonny tells him that losing a child is a "slow walk through hell" and he wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Kate is still at Sonny's house when Dr. Devlin shows up. He explains that he's looking for her and is glad to find her there alone. Then, much to Kate's surprise, he tells her that he's the one who shot Michael - by accident. He proposes that she give him a million dollars and he'll disappear and save her from watching Sonny murder him. When she balks, he says that he'll leave a posthumous letter that names Sonny as his killer, or even save a step and kill Sonny himself. Kate coldly asks him where he wants the money wired.
