Ian says his goodbyes but Maxie has something else in store for him, Jason has no choice but to listen to Claudia and Ric won't be dissuaded.
Patrick and Ian are walking down the hall together at GH when Patrick asks his old friend to consult with him on a patient. Ian tells him that he can't help because he's leaving Port Charles for good. Patrick is confused, and even more so when Ian gives him a talking to about embracing the miracle of fatherhood. Before he gets in the elevator, Ian shakes Patrick's hand and then leaves.
Maxie, stunned to find Spinelli's hand on her breast, gives him the evil eye. He nervously pulls it away and Maxie rushes over to the mirror because she assumes that there was a spot on the dress that he was trying to wipe off. She asks him to unzip her so that she can put the dress back before she ruins it completely. After she's put her blouse back on, he implores her to button up. She, blouse wide open, finally gets that he's into her and is enjoying his flattery, but they are interrupted by an email notification that Dr. Devlin is trying to leave town. He goes into spaz mode, but she quickly tells him that she has a plan.
"Is it yours?" a very flabbergasted Anna asks Robin when she sees her pregnant belly. Robin laughs and assures her that it is indeed her baby. Anna puts a pillow in front of Robin's belly so she can think clearly and then calls it a "fabulous shock." Anna assumes that Patrick is the father and Robin tells the story from the beginning. She tells her mother about her plan to raise the baby on her own and Anna warns her not to jump to that conclusion just yet. There's a knock on Robin's door and Anna assumes it is her baggage. When she opens the door and sees Patrick, she corrects herself and tells Robin that it's her baggage! Then she hugs "Daddy" and says they should celebrate. Patrick says that a beer sounds good. They all agree that Jake's is in order, and Patrick goes ahead to get a table. As soon as Anna comes back from the bathroom she tells Robin that she just took an emergency page and has to leave. She promises not to be gone long.
Lulu and Johnny are arguing on the waterfront. He reminds her how ruthless his father is and now that he'll be free soon they need to stop seeing each other. Lulu tells him if the worst happens and Anthony goes free, he should hand the business over and choose her. Johnny thinks she's dreaming if she thinks he can magically transform himself into a "happily ever after" kind of guy. Lulu leaves in a huff.
Sonny, standing in the doorway to Anthony's room, is giving Ric the chance he's always wanted - to be close to his brother. Things get heated and Ric says that he's tired of obsessing over his brother and he's finally ready to cut his losses. He says that Anthony can get him the power that he wants! Sonny tells Ric not to come to him when the bodies start piling up. In fact, Ric is not to come to him for anything from now on! After Sonny leaves, Ric tells Anthony that the only reason he's doing this is to bring his father down.
After Ric has left, Trevor shows up at Shady Brook. Anthony offers him what's behind Door #1. He explains that if he helps Ric win his case, he'll keep them both on board. He tells Trevor that is more than he'd get from his two kids. Trevor laughs and says that they've come full circle.
In an abandoned cabin somewhere, Jason has barricaded the door but his five remaining bullets won't be enough if the shooter brings some extra help. It's gotten quiet outside but Jason warns Claudia against feeling safe because the shooter is likely just waiting for them to let their guard down. So, instead of sleeping, Claudia decides to discuss her past. She explains her family dynamic where Trevor, Maria, Johnny and Anthony are concerned and says that her own mother was banished to Italy with a broken heart. Jason looks like he'd rather chew his arm off than listen to any more.
He reminds Claudia that he's here instead of at the hospital with Carly because she was going to tell him about Michael's shooter! She fumbles for an answer and says that she's pretty sure that it was her father. Jason is infuriated with her for luring him away for no real reason. "I'm going to find whoever did this and make them sorry they ever heard Michael's name," he spews. As Claudia tries to calm him down, the shooting from outside starts again.
Alexis and Kristina come into GH to see a pediatrician because Kristina bumped her head. Liz checks them in and when Kristina asks her mom if Daddy Ric can come, she offers to call him. Alexis agrees and comments that sometimes children just want a father around. A little later Ric shows up to be with Kristina. While she's having tests, Ric comments to Alexis about what a good place their relationship is in. She tells him not to ruin it by working with Anthony Zacchara and asks him to throw the case.
Sonny has gone home and Kate comes over to see him. He isn't in the mood to listen to her warnings and reminds her of what she's putting on the line to be with him. Kate tells her that she has already accepted all the possibilities, but reminds him that he has two other children to worry about instead of inciting a mob war. As they argue, one of his goons interrupts and tells him that someone is here to see him. Frustrated, Kate leaves.
Kate returns to Crimson and isn't happy to see Lulu there instead of Maxie. Then she realizes that she left her PDA at Sonny's and isn't looking forward to another scene with him. Lulu, happy to be of help, offers to get it for her.
Patrick has bellied up to the bar and is talking with Coleman. He is grumbling about Anna and how unconventional she is. He says, "My baby mama's mama is pretty much the hottest thing I've ever seen." What he doesn't know is that Robin has just come in the door and heard him.
Lulu arrives at Sonny's house just in time to see Johnny holding him at gunpoint and demanding to know where Claudia is. Then, he shoots.
Ian is standing at the boat launch and is very much annoyed to see that Maxie and Mac have arrived, too. Spinelli rushes to join them and whispers to Maxie that he's having technological difficulties. Mac wants to know what's going on and Maxie tells Spinelli that the launch is almost here! Spinelli fakes stomach pains and Mac notices that there's a doctor nearby and tells him to help.
