Kate is brought in with a chest wound, Logan is brought in with a head trauma and Sonny is a loose cannon.
Sonny stands over Kate's crumpled body and calls an ambulance to the waterfront. While he waits, he tells her that he loves her…who she was and who she is today and begs her not to leave him again. Jason shows up and asks what happened and Sonny says the Zaccharas did this. Jason asks how he knows for sure and Sonny says that Claudia warned him that he wouldn't see it coming. As the sirens approach, Sonny tells Jason to go and make whoever did this pay. (We see that Michael is hiding in a dumpster nearby.) Detective Harper asks Sonny how he happened to be there as Kate was shot. Sonny is belligerent and only concerned about Kate's condition.
Above Kelly's, Logan tries to assure Lulu that he is not the TMK, but Johnny is pounding at the door. He grabs her and holds his hand over her mouth and says that he won't let Johnny be the hero again and needs to explain everything. Lulu breaks free from him and then knocks him out with a wrench. She screams for Johnny, who comes running in and takes her in his arms. She explains about the things she found in Logan's room and that he said he was using them to frame him. Johnny takes Logan's pulse and they call 911. Lucky and Scott arrive just before the paramedics do. They hear Lulu tell Johnny of her suspicions that Logan is the TMK and Scott says that he has wondered the same thing about his son himself.
At GH, Nadine is at Nik's bedside. She asks him if Emily has an opinion about who killed her. Nik resists Nadine's help because he's afraid it will mean losing his visions of Emily altogether. Emily is nearby, of course, and she is willing to go through whatever it takes to be able to tell him who killed her. Nik says that the cops won't believe that he suddenly remembered anyway. Nadine leaves the room so that he (and Emily) can decide what to do. Emily tells Nik that Leticia and Georgie died too, and now Alexis, Maxie and Sam are in danger. She says that he needs to face the facts of who the killer is. She reminds him that his tumor is growing and he's going to lose this opportunity to know the truth. Then she asks him to focus on what he saw in his memory. He closes his eyes and remembers that he was begging her to leave and then a guy came and knocked him out. Emily is agitated as she recalls her strangling and then suddenly, she's gone. Nikolas reaches for her and then doubles over in pain.
On Martha's Vineyard Marianne is trying to concentrate on serving her customers, but she keeps thinking about Ric. He shows up with a red scarf as a Valentine's gift for her. She tells him that she doesn't deserve it after what she's done. He tries to get her to tell him about it and assures her that he's done some awful things in his past. He tells her that he needs to change who he is and no piece of paper with his name on it can help him with that. He asks who she's afraid of and begs her to let him help. She says that she came to this country to work and make a better life, but there are people who look at her as a woman from a third-world country to be exploited.
Jerry has escorted Alexis and Kristina back to the lake house. He promises to find out who scared Kristina so badly that she can't speak. After he leaves, Alexis reads to her daughter but it doesn't help bring her out of her state. Outside, Jerry tells someone on the phone that his plan is working. He goes back inside and Alexis says that she doesn't believe he really wants to help her. She goes upstairs and then Jerry picks up her cell phone and calls Ric. He tells him that his ex-wife is too proud to bother him on his so-called sabbatical but Kristina has seen the TMK and has gone catatonic again. Ric thanks Jerry for calling him and says that he's on his way.
Ric hangs up the phone and tells Mariana that he has to say goodbye for now. He blasts out the door and accidentally leaves his papers on the diner table. Marianne looks at them for a minute and then rushes out the door to give them to him. When she returns to the diner, a man looms over her and asks why she did that.
At GH, Robin is looking at baby blankets online when Leyla approaches and suggests the plaid one. Robin says she's not comfortable talking about the baby or Patrick with her. Leyla walks away and Patrick approaches. He asks if she ever wonders about the baby's father. Robin says that the sperm bank doesn't give much information.
Kate is brought into the ER and Dr. Leo tells Sonny that the bullet punctured her lung and she needs a chest tube. He takes her off to the OR and Sonny paces the hall. When Jason finds him Sonny goes nuts because he hasn't gone after the Zaccharas yet. Ms. Sneed comes around asking Sonny if he is "the responsible party" and Sonny angrily throws money in her face.
Dr. Devlin rushes into Nik's room. He tells him that the tumor is going to kill him unless he agrees to surgery. He asks if Nik wants to die and Nik says no, but he doesn't want the surgery either. Dr. Devlin closes the door and tells him about a new drug he'd like to try on him. It's extremely unavailable and expensive, but worth a try. Nik asks why he would risk his career to bring it to him, but Dr. Devlin says his motives don't matter. He says they can start as soon as Nik promises that he won't tell anyone about it.
Logan is brought into the ER with blunt trauma to the head. Lucky tells Patrick that this patient needs tight security because it looks as if HE is the TMK. Scott pipes up and says that at this point Logan is the victim of abuse by Lulu Spencer and nothing else. Johnny and Lulu arrive and take it all in. Lulu tells Patrick to save Logan and Johnny paces in another direction. Sonny comes into the same area and pounces on Johnny. He pins him to the wall and threatens, "If anything happens to Kate, you're a dead man."
In the OR, Leo is losing ground as Kate's blood pressure is bottoming out. They hustle until they find the bleeder and seal it up. But then there's another one and she flat lines.

Claudia contemplates suffocating her daddy with a pillow.
Nik takes a pill and then goes into a seizure.
Bobbie brings Sonny some news about Kate.
