Sam gets a unique dinner invitation, Mac lays down the law, and Jason gets a little birthday surprise.
Mac is fired up at the PCPD because the DNA results from Georgie's fingernails are due any minute. He tells Detective Harper to be ready to bring Johnny Z in. Then he asks Coop what he's doing hanging around. Coop explains that he's covering Lucky's shifts for a few days. Felicia comes in and wants to discuss Georgie's case, so Max directs her to the interrogation room. He tells Coop to see to it that he gets the results the moment they come in. Then he takes Felicia inside and vehemently tells her that there was a time when he would've welcomed her help, but he has to be the one to bring down Georgie's killer.
Outside the door a detective puts the results smack in Coop's hands.
Lulu goes to the hospital and asks Leyla if Johnny Zacchara has been brought in. Leyla checks, but tells her no. Then Tracy (with a fabulous new haircut!) finds her and tells her that Luke has taken off. Lulu feels bad that she wasn't around to try to talk him out of it. Tracy tells her that she needs to start sleeping at home by the way.
Down the hall, Dr. Leo is consulting with Liz. She asks him if it's January 22 and then asks for some paper and a pencil. Carly barges in and says that it is indeed Jason's birthday. Leo leaves, and Carly tells Liz that her "first bastard son likes to play with matches" and she might have her declared an unfit mother. Before they can get too heated, Jax shows up and tells Liz that he's glad she and Jake will be okay. Then he tells Liz that he knows about Jake, but assures her that it will go no further. Carly says they need to go and plan Jason's birthday party.
Sam goes over to Lucky's house to see if they can talk. Then Jake wakes up and Lucky tries to rock him while they talk. Sam tells him how much she has missed him. She apologizes, again, for going to Carly with the truth about Jake. She says that she loses all perspective when it comes to Carly and Jason and she doesn't know why. Lucky asks if it's out of her system now, and Sam says that would be nice. She needs to leave for work, but Lucky says if she doesn't mind mashed peas and canned ravioli, they could have dinner together. Sam doesn't mind at all.
Jerry goes to see his business associate and ends up greeting the man's hooker, Jasmine, instead. The dude pays her and once she's gone, he tells Jerry that he totally messed up last night's shipment. Jerry says that he has it all under control. "We'll need to start all over now. We need our own base of operation - work on getting me those piers." Jerry corrects him and says, "…getting us the piers, right?" The guy agrees that as old friends, he's right.
Jason walks into a trap on the waterfront. Trevor says that he has five seconds to tell him where Johnny is. Jason says he doesn't know, and then Trevor says that a Zacchara ship blew up last night and it seems that he was on board. Jason tells Trevor that he had Lulu and Logan on board and he simply got them off in time. Max and Milo show up and Trevor ultimately leaves. Then Jason tells Max and Milo to keep looking for Johnny. Lulu comes along and tells Jason that they need to take his boat out to find Johnny. Jason says that Johnny has his own fleet likely looking for him. Jason tells her to stay out of it, but Lulu says that Johnny didn't have to stay behind, but he did. Jason says the best thing she can do for Johnny is stay away from him.
Ric has gone to the house where he grew up on Martha's Vineyard. The caretaker is there and she says it's a shame that the owners are rarely there. She says she would let him in, but she doesn't know him. He says that he's not sure he'd want to go in anyway. She comments that it's a sad place.
Lulu has decided to look for Johnny herself, and she ends up finding him badly hurt in a boat house. She tells him that she's going to call Jason. Johnny says no, and she's not to call Trevor either.
Lulu goes to the hospital right away. She goes to Liz's room with a favor, but says she can't ask a lot of questions. She says that someone is hurt but she needs more than bandages. Liz thinks for a moment, and then tells her there is a supply closet in the ER where she can get antibiotics. Then she asks Lulu to deliver something to Jason.
Carly and Jax go home and get attitude from Michael, who suddenly has slicked-back hair. He doesn't want to do "baby things" with Morgan anymore. He stomps off and Jax tells her that Michael is growing up and she should consider it herself. Then he tells her to stay out of Elizabeth's face. Jason shows up and says, "He's right." Jason lays into her and explains that this is his decision for his son. Carly tries to apologize for standing up for him, and Jason softens a little. Soon, Jax learns that he is needed in Hawaii and he kisses Carly goodbye. She promises to try to be good while he's gone and maybe they'll have good news when he returns. After he leaves, Michael and Morgan come downstairs and wish Jason happy birthday. When he has a minute, Jason opens the delivery from Lulu and finds a drawing of Jake.
Mayor Floyd and Scott are at the PCPD making noise about the bomber situation at the hospital. Alexis informs them that she is the D.A. again while Ric is out of town and will look over their list of grievances at some point in…May. She giggles with power as she passes Logan on her way out. He's come to see if his dad has found some work for him. Scott says that he needs to consider what he loves to do, and then call him. Logan turns around and sees the DNA file sitting on Mac's desk.
Trevor calls Ric and tells him that without an organization to protect him, the waterfront properties could make him a target. After he hangs up, he tells his goon that Johnny aside, the person who stands in their way now is Jason Morgan. They decide to find some way to find Jason's weak spot.
When Lulu returns to the boathouse with the pills, Johnny is gone.
Mac comes back to his desk and sees the results folder lying there. Scott sees, too, and stands by to see what's inside the folder. Except…it's empty.
Alexis is cheerful on her way home from her first day as returning D.A. Not for long - she is attacked.
