Diane pulls out a few old tricks, Liz leaves Sam to ponder her fate, and Luke is busted again.

"If we run, we look like prey," Diane coaches Alexis as they check out the seedy bar that they've found themselves in. They ask the bartender if they can use the phone, but apparently it's for paying customers. Diane plays along and asks for a dirty martini, but that's not exactly on the menu. Alexis asks for a beer, but there's not a glass in sight. Still, the women order bottles and it turns out there's a two drink minimum - so until they've had four beers, there's no phone use for them! With great difficulty, they chug their beers and manage to only burp a couple very ladylike times. Finally, they are presented with the (rotary!) phone, and learn that it's dead! The guys are having a great time with this. Diane turns and asks a guy who is playing pool for his phone. He says sure, if he can borrow her friend for a dance. Diane is only too happy to oblige!

At the coffee warehouse suddenly Carly has Jason's full attention. He rises to his feet and slowly says, "Yes, Jake is my son." He tells her that he and Elizabeth were trying to keep Jake safe, that's all. Carly thinks that's the line of bull that Liz fed him. Jason orders her NOT to bad mouth Elizabeth. Carly goes on anyway and says that Liz manipulated him into losing his child and therefore deserves to lose everything. She rants that she trusts her kids to Jason, why can't Saint Elizabeth? Jason says that Michael is a perfect example of what a kid has to deal with when he's surrounded by violence. Carly says that Jake would benefit from the love that Jason has to give. "I do NOT want my son to be like me!" Jason says. He tells her that Sonny knew she'd take it like this. That's the clincher for Carly - she can't believe that Sonny knew and she didn't. Jason says that he knew she would go behind his back and try to get Jake for him. "That's exactly what I'm going to do," Carly says just before she leaves.

Ric is at Alexis's house cleaning up after the girls. He is pleasantly surprised when Skye returns with a proposition for him. She hands him paperwork that will transfer her waterfront property to him and all he has to do is sign them. She explains that she doesn't want any blood money either, she just wants to give the piers to him - as a parting gift. She says that it's time for her to leave Port Charles and that without Alan, she doesn't really have family here anymore. She cries, but says that she really wants to take Lila Rae and start over somewhere. Then she tells Ric that he can use all his new power in any way that he pleases. "Another time, another place and who knows what could've been?" She kisses him and then leaves him stunned.

Elizabeth is facing both Lucky and Sam with her story about Carly's confrontation. Lucky suggests damage control and says that they should tell her that they lied for Jake's sake. Liz says that Lucky is missing the point - Sam told her about Jake out of revenge! Sam scrambles and tells Lucky that is not how the secret came out at all! Lucky hears her out as she says that Carly insulted her so much that she blurted it out. Sam says she can't take it back, and Liz says that there are other things she can't take back either! Suddenly, Lucky wants to hear more. But, he gets a call and has to leave.

Spinelli is working away on his laptop at the coffee shop. Nadine spots him and notices that his monitor reads something about "…getting your man". She assumes that he's looking for a date, but he quickly tells her that he's going to be a private investigator. He says that he needs to find a new life for himself - because Wise Georgie had faith in him. Nadine is sad to hear that he lost Georgie before he had the chance to find romance with her. She suggests that he become a cop, but he says as a P.I., he wouldn't be bound by all the red tape and he could remain "the rogue." He says that he's already working on finding out who killed Epiphany's son.

Meanwhile, Epiphany is taking her pain out on everyone around her at the nurses' desk. Monica tells her that the interns just want to help, that's all. She reminds her that she, too, knows how hard it is to lose a child. Later, a package arrives for Epiphany and she gingerly touches it as if she's afraid of what's inside. She tells Cassius that she knows what to do with Stan's things; she just doesn't know what to do with the memories.

Back at Sam's apartment the second Lucky leaves, Sam asks Liz if they’re going to have another cat fight like they did at Wyndemere. Liz asks her to give a good reason why she shouldn't tell Lucky about exactly how it happened that his boys where mugged in the park. She says that now Carly is going to make her life a living hell and Sam has gotten off scott-free. Sam says that she hates what she did back then, but Liz doesn't believe her. Sam tries a new tact and says that Lucky is really happy with her and he could go back to drugs if he loses her. Liz calmly picks up her coat and says that she is going to go home and love her children and maybe just let Carly be the one to make Sam pay.

Back in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of a seedy bar, Diane chats with a guy who is intent on telling her about the mirrors he has above his bed. On the "dance floor" Alexis mentions that she and Diane are lawyers. Suddenly, the game is over. The patrons don't like the dirty, six-letter word and list all of the indignities that they've suffered at the hands of lawyers. "What do you have when a lawyer is buried up to her neck in sand?" "Not enough sand." Suddenly there's a gunshot and surprisingly, it comes from Diane! She says that the next shot might take out an eye - or something else they value! She announces that she has killed before and will again if she has to. Then, she and Alexis grab their gowns and leave. Later she tells Alexis that she wasn't kidding about killing before.

Luke has somehow managed to dress like a janitor and slip into the hospital elevators undetected. But that's as far as he got because Tracy found the janitor he bribed for his uniform. When Lucky shows up (at Tracy's request) she wants to have Luke arrested for sneaking contraband (the cigars) into a sterile environment. Lucky asks Luke not to give Tracy any more problems and he promises to be the drooling, old man that everyone wants him to be. However, Luke reminds Lucky that when he was comatose, he gave him the dignity of unplugging the machines.

Spinelli goes to GH to pay his respects to Epiphany. Although he and Stan were rivals in the cyber world, in real life Stan had his utmost respect. She gives him the box she received and says that she wants him and Jason to have the first look at what Stan had with him. "I want you and Jason to do right by my boy," she says.

Jason tries, one more time, to get through to Carly. He says that this whole thing was his choice because he wanted to protect his son. He orders her not to blame Elizabeth. On her way out the door, Carly says that she's going to fix everything and doesn't stop even though he is yelling after her. The second she's gone, Jason picks up the phone.

Next on General Hospital:
"Are you telling me that you can't claim your son because of me?" Sonny laughs in Jason's face.
Lulu demands to know why she's being held captive.
Logan holds Johnny at gunpoint.
