While Maxie's timing stunk (as usual), KS was brilliant. I may be the only one. Her anger SHOULD be directed at Frisco...

Georgie had wistfully mentioned that she wouldn't recognize her father even he passed right by her.

Hi everyone, although this is my first attempt at a post, I have been reading the updates and comments for a very long time. I am so glad this site exists, it keeps me informed of my fav soap. Screenname, i seriously doubt that the bonds of friendship interfere to awfully much, if so please skip over those comments! Alfie1, my heart was in my stomach when i saw your address and daughters phone no displayed on here, I just want you to realize that as much as you trust everyone here, please ALWAYS keep in mind, that this is the net, not just people who post sign in, and you seem like such a sweet person. Take the advise offered by your friends here and please, for your own safety, never openly publish anything personal or identifyable.
Now for my thoughts on the show, I have been watching G.H. since i was a kid in the 70's. I really miss those days too. The espionage, romance, etc was pure excitement. I would much rather be enthralled in a storyline which is exciting, than become wrapped up in one that is so sad and heartbreaking.
I hope you all have a wonderful and safe holiday.

great show today but only because of maxie. this was the first time i've ever liked her or been on her side. i never understood just how much her parents actions had destroyed this girl. everything she said was true and should have been said right then. felecia had it coming and so much more. mac did a great job raising these other folks three children but if he hadn't been such a doormat and just accepted their total lack of responsibility maybe the parents anna, felecia, and frisco would have had to grow up and handle their duties as parents instead of the totally unforgivable selfishness they inflicted on their children!! hmac loves them but he cheated them out of relationships with their parents by allowing them to just disappear with no regard to the children. as for carly's totally self serving comment about how maxie should understand that parents do the best they can--HOGWASH!!! the basics of that statement are true about doing the best they can, but it is impossible for any involved and decent parent not to know when their actions are hurting their children. and if you don't know how is that doing your best? when you abandon your children there is no way you could think they'd be just fine with it!! it's simply an excuse to justify those actions and to insist that the child understand from the parent's point of view!! the children are always the result of the parent's choices. parents who admit and work to improve upon their bad decisions and actions deserve acknowledgement of those positive actions. but simply being called the title of parent does not entitle you to ANYTHING when you have forced your children to find ways to justify your unforgivable actions in the destruction in their lives. parents are the adults and must always act in their children's best interests or they should never have them. grow up before you decide to bring someone into the world who can't fend for themselves for eighteen years!!!!!!!!

Screename: BaHumBug....Peace on Earth...we're just havin' a little fun. Really don't mean to offend anyone and as QUEEN ALFIE says" just skip the stuff you don't enjoy reading". Maxie looked Beautiful. So sad yet elegent. As for Michael not being considered the first born because he is adopted, I disagree. People who adopt shouldn't treat that child as a second class citizen and I don't think they usually do. Michael is Sonnys oldest son makes no difference how he got there. Angain....Happy Healthy Holiday to EVERYONE....Remember to give Praise for the reason for the Season....

NY - You are too kind!

*points upthread*

Did you read my latest column?

ransomha -

Yes, Mac Scorpio WAS a great guy, and a hero. I hate what they've reduced him to over the years, just to prop up the mob. Mac is a legacy character - a freaking SCORPIO, for crying out loud. He deserves so much better than what they've written for him the last five years or so. And John J. York can BRING IT when given the opportunity.

Whoa msstarr!

Mac is not a doormat (despite how Guza writes him now). Mac took Robin in when Robert and Anna were reported to be KILLED, not because they dumped her on him. And he was MARRIED to Felicia for a while - making both Maxie and georgie his stepdaughters, not some waifs off the street. He was a father to Georgie virtually from birth - the only fahter she EVER knew. Maxie had met Frisco a number of times, but she was very young.

That said, yeah, Mac took responsibility for the girls when Felicia left town because he WAS their father - in his heart if not in biological fact. Mac took care of them because he WANTED to, not because they were foisted off on him. He LOVED them and he WANTED to be a parent they could depend on and trust and know that he would never leave them the way their own bio-father did.

Yeah, it stinks what the writers turned Felicia into - but that wasn't always her. Yes, she loved adventure and intrigue, but she loved her girls too.

Ransomha you are too funny

Screename we do tend to go off the subject from time to time but you can what I do certain subjects I don't want to read or talk about...I skip them.

KS I said it before and I say it again that girl can act. Yes her characters timing stunk but she played it well. And I think it help Maxie to unload like she has been wanting to do and it might bring her closure in the end. Well Maxie should be angry at both parents but parents abandon her. So its like with anything else you lash out at the person infront of you. I'm sure if Frisco came back she would have went off on him too.

I do hate how she, Felicia, is being written. I, too, remember the good old days when good guys were clear. Now we are all seeing clouds of gray where you blur the line of who is good or bad. The back in the days bad guys are written for us to feel for them on some level. Some of the so called bad guys are more loveable then the good guys period and we find ourselves rooting for them. And the good guys are doing things that make you go hmm.

The crazy thing with Felicia is I know she was a good mom & a good person. But now with her excuses she isn't being shown as that as much. And because of that we have to look at her how they are playing her not how they should play her. If I had it my way a lot of characters would be written differently. But until they are written differently we have to take them how they are played. So for that reason I can't help but look at Felicia as a bad mother.

Hopefully they will redeem her and let her make a real heartfelt apology. And hopefully Maxie's heart is big enough to accept it.

Sad. I have a random idea, though. I think the next time the TMK strikes, someone will see who it is. That would be interesting.
