Is Georgie Right?Thursday, December 13 2007 |
She thinks Coop is the killer, Maxi vows to be a new woman, and Trevor takes out a hit on Lulu.

The Jackal goes to Kelly's for coffee and to talk with Georgie about her theory that Coop is the killer. He hasn't found anything yet, but tells Georgie that she should warn Maxi. Just then Maxi and Coop come downstairs. Maxi is in a good mood and Georgie is suspicious. Maxi says that almost dying scared her into wanting a second chance at being nice to people. She turns to Spinelli and asks how his grandmother is doing? Spinelli answers, and then reciprocates by asking about her holiday plans. Maxi says that she and Coop want to go to skiing in Vermont. Georgie tells her that she can't because the holidays mean a lot to Mac. Maxi gushes that they'd be back in time for Christmas. After the guys leave, Georgie comes right out and says that she thinks Coop is the killer. She asks Maxi what she knew about Coop's life before she knew him anyway? Maxi flashes back to the Metro Court crisis for a minute, and then brushes it off.

Lucky visits Sam and is welcomed with a big kiss. Although he enjoys it, he's come to warn her that there's been a move in the mob war and as Jason's former girlfriend -- she could be a target. Sam makes coffee and learns that Johnny seems to have taken over his father's business. Lucky says that he would feel better if she had someone watching her all the time. Sam says, "Okay, why don't you move in with me?" She says that his big house must be getting lonely anyway, right? Lucky agrees, but has to wonder if Sam is still trying to get back at Liz. Sam says that it may have started out that way, but for her, their relationship has turned into a lot more. Lucky says it's the same for him, too. But he doesn't want to move too fast and mess things up. As they hold each other, Lucky is called to go pick up a suspect.

Trevor is in business mode. He tells his goon to increase security in anticipation of Corinthos' retaliation. Johnny rushes in infuriated and says that there's no way he'll be forced into a mob war! He screams at the goon, saying no one is to make a move without his say so. Trevor says that until Johnny learns how to conduct business the way his father did, they need to run things together. Johnny says that he could've brokered a truce! Trevor says that Sonny wants to control the shipping lanes in the Eastern seaboard and anyone who gets in his way will die. Trevor says they need to be able to move product and Sonny is in their way. Johnny contends that Trevor just wants to get even with Sonny for stealing his girlfriend. He says that he will find a way to compromise with Sonny. Trevor says that won't be possible after last night's attack. Just then, Lucky shows up and takes Johnny down to the station for questioning.

At Sonny's office, Jason tells Sonny that their entire shipment is gone and their guys didn't even see it coming! Sonny's plan is to…do nothing. He explains that Johnny isn't experienced enough to endure a war - they need to set him up to fail. As they are talking, Detective Harper comes in and says that he's working on the shooting of Sonny's employees. Jason and Detective leave for the station and Sonny says he'll have Diane meet them.

Lulu takes Logan some waffles and he invites her in. She says that Laura used to make waffles every time that Luke took off. Logan reminds her that Luke survived the surgery and should heal nicely. But that's not what is bothering her, Lulu says that she and her dad never had the traditional father-daughter relationship and his being sick has felt good to her in a way. She explains that she loves that she has been able to open up to him. Logan can see that she's struggling not to cry, so he rushes over and gives her a big hug, then a kiss. Lulu pulls away and says that she can't "do this." Logan says that he is so grateful to have been able to be there for her yesterday, that's all.
Detective Harper and Jason are in the interrogation room. The Detective is clearly zoning in on Johnny and asks why he bothered to protect Johnny in the first place - unless he wants to kill him himself? Jason won't talk without Diane, so he is released. On his way out, he sees that Lucky has brought Johnny in. He and Johnny exchanges looks and it doesn't go unnoticed by Lucky.

Trevor isn't alone for long - Lulu arrives to see Johnny. Trevor says that he stepped out, so Lulu turns to leave. She says that she just wanted to thank Johnny for driving her and her father to the hospital yesterday. Trevor says that Johnny is having some trouble lately; in fact right now he's being questioned about a triple homicide. He tells her it's best if she keeps her distance.

Logan goes to Kelly's to look for Lulu, and Georgie seizes the opportunity to pick his brain about Coop. Logan says that he's a decent guy, and an even better soldier. He's strong and fearless and the kind of guy you want next to you in battle. "Once he got started, there was no stopping him," Logan says. Georgie goes straight to the penthouse to ask Spinelli to look up Coop's military record. It doesn't take long before he accesses it. Turns out that Cadet Barrett had lots of "special operations" assignments. Georgie says that now she's more sure than ever that Coop is the guy who killed, or at least tried to kill, four women.
Maxi takes a dress from the Metro Court boutique over to Sam's house. She tells Sam that she and Coop are back together after she was nearly killed yesterday. Sam hasn't heard anything about it and Maxi explains it all. Sam pours her some coffee and then offers her and Coop her apartment tomorrow night because she has to go to Manhattan. She thinks that a romantic night away from Kelly's might be just what they need. Maxi excitedly accepts her offer.

Next Lulu shows up at Sonny's office. She asks Sonny to hear her out and says that Johnny had nothing to do with what happened on the docks last night. Sonny says that Johnny chose to take over his father's business and he has to deal with the consequences.
Coop is texting away as he walks along the waterfront and runs into Rodriguez. Rodriguez jokes that he and his girlfriend do a little sex talk via text, too, but be careful because that stuff can be traced and they don't want Mac to know what they do on their off hours. Coop laughs and asks his buddy not to mention to Maxi that he's not working today. He says that he's planning a little surprise for her.
Lulu goes to the hospital and a nurse gives her a note left for her from Johnny. "Meet me tomorrow at the Pier," it reads. She quickly puts it away when Logan shows up. He asks her for dinner tomorrow, but Lulu says that she promised to baby sit Cam and Jake.

Trevor is scheming with his goon. He says that he knows for a fact that Lulu will be at the pier tomorrow night and he's arranged for Johnny to think he has as meeting with Morgan there, too. Then, he makes two gun fire sounds to indicate what he wants done. The goon asks if he is really supposed to kill Johnny? "Spare the kid, but kill the girl -- and make it look like Corinthos ordered it," Trevor says.
