After a lot of emotional decision-making, Luke finally goes to the operating room, Maxi faces a lineup, and Luke's friends and family rally around.

From his hospital bed, Luke tells Monica that his vitals will perk up if he and his wife can have a private round of strip poker. Monica tells him that he won't survive the first round! Tracy wants her to wait for Dr. Julian to return his page, but Monica contends that Luke's condition is too precarious to wait. Tracy tells Monica that she hasn't performed surgery since Emily's death and she shouldn't even be working yet. Luke says that he just wants to get it over with. "The suspense is killing me," he deadpans. Monica explains how the procedure works and Luke agrees to go ahead with it. After Monica leaves, Tracy tells him to rethink this and wait for Dr. Julian. Luke says that Monica is head honcho and knows what she is doing. He asks Tracy if they can go to Vegas for a 2nd honeymoon when this is all over. He offers to take her to Monte Carlo instead, or buy a racehorse. When she doesn't respond, he suggests that maybe they should just snuggle down and hate the holidays together.

Coop has just come into Kelly's and learned about Maxis' attack from Georgie. He tells her as much as he can about the cops' theories about Leticia and Emily's killer and says that sending texts is part of his pattern. Georgie gets a call to go down to the PCPD for the lineup and Coop asks if she thinks she can identify the guy.

Lucky is at Johnny's house, cuffing him to bring him into the PCPD for the lineup. He tells Jason that Emily would be interested in knowing why he is doing business with the man who killed her. Johnny counters by asking Lucky where he was during the ball and why he wasn't trying to help anyone out? After they leave one of Johnny's guards informs Trevor that Johnny has been taken into the PCPD. Trevor says that they're going to let him sit in the clink for a while so he can learn to appreciate everything that he has.

Bobbie brings Lulu into see her father and explains that Luke needs his bypass tonight. They run into Skye and fill her in, too. Bobbie shores them up and tells them that they need to convince Luke to be a positive thinker - which is very uncharacteristic of him. Lulu runs off to find Lucky and tells her Aunt Bobbie not to let them start without her and Lucky. Skye tells Bobbie to assure her that Luke will be fine, but Bobbie fights back tears when she says how scared she is. "I can only imagine what kind of shape his heart is in," she says. She goes in and sits with Luke and tells him that she won't be in the OR this time - it's too close to home for her. Besides, Luke and Lulu need her, she says. She says that she believes Monica is up to the task or she'd be out looking for Leo herself. Luke asks her if she thinks he can make it through the surgery and she says that after the life he's lead, a quadruple bypass is nothing. She leans in for a big hug and then walks out. Skye comes in and Luke is happy to see his "Blaze". She tells him that he's not allowed to die and he asks what's in it for him? She seductively moves in and whispers in his ear that he'll have to wait and see.

Out at the nurses' desk Epiphany is telling Nadine to start her rotation tonight, but notices that she keeps scratching her elbow. Nadine tells her she'll be fine and walks away. She tells another nurse that every time her elbow itches someone dies. What's more, it itched right before the Black & White ball and we all know how that turned out! Tracy comes out and finds Epiphany and asks her to find Dr. Julian. Monica rushes by and says that it's too late for that. Tracy reminds her that she froze during Alan's surgery and Monica says that she was unprepared for the thought of losing Alan - this is different! "Monica - if you think that you're going to escape Emily in that OR, think again!" Tracy says.

At the PCPD, Mac checks in on Maxi and Detective Harper in the interrogation room. She wants to leave, but Mac wants her to stick around for a lineup. Just then, Coop accompanies Georgie into the PCPD and Maxi rushes into his arms. Lucky brings Johnny in and Mac rushes over and pins Johnny against the wall and tells him "Game over." Detective Harper pulls Mac off and reminds him that Johnny is only here for questioning. Lulu rushes in and tells Lucky that their dad is having his surgery tonight. Mac tells Lucky to go to the hospital.

Diane has been called to Jason's and when she arrives, Jason tells her that Johnny has been arrested and he wants her to get him released. Spinelli doesn't skip a beat and hands her a copy of Johnny's record. She looks at him and asks how in the world he was able to obtain it and he simply says, "Um, I'm the Jackal." Diane leaves and Spinelli asks Jason why he is helping Johnny? Jason says that Emily's real killer is out there somewhere and the cops don't need to waste their time.
Detective Harper, Mac, Georgie and Maxi are looking at the lineup. All of the guys look very similar and Maxi says that although she knows Johnny Zacchara, she can't identify any of them as the guy who attacked her today. Georgie agrees. The men are taken out of the room and THEN Maxi remembers something. She says that she remembers the smell of the guy, a clean smell like soap or something. Mac tells the girls not to mention that to anyone else, just yet. Coop and Georgie suggest that they take Maxi to Kelly's for a while, instead of home - so the three of them leave. Diane arrives and demands that her client be released! Mac rolls his eyes and leaves Diane with Johnny to talk. He asks what she is doing and Diane assures her that she's in it for the money -- he is to discuss the rest with Jason. Johnny thanks her for her help and then accepts it. Diane faces off with Mac and comes out the winner. Johnny and Diane head for the door together. Trevor finally arrives and Johnny says that Miss Miller did his job for him.

At Kelly's Maxi can't eat, but she sits at the counter with Georgie anyway. She is really spooked about what happened and then runs to the bathroom to get sick, with Georgie hot on her heels. Logan comes in and has to pour his own coffee. Scott joins him for a minute, but then gets a phone call from Bobbie. She tells him that he may not care about Luke, but she needs him at the hospital right now. Scott tells her that he is on his way, and brings Logan because Lulu probably needs him.

Luke is happy to see Lucky and Lulu arrive at his bedside. He asks them to take care of each other and to keep an eye on Barbara Jean. He tells Lulu that they can go ice fishing before you know it. She reminds him that she hates ice fishing. Then, he tells his "cowboy" that he hates that he's a cop, but it was almost worth it to see Laura laugh when she found out. He tells them that they are amazing, strong, and smart and they have their old man to thank for that. The nurse comes to prep Luke, so they say their goodbyes. Luke tells them to help Nikolas take care of their mother, and to visit her often. "If I've taught you anything, I hope I've taught you to enjoy the rush because life is a thrill ride. Go after what you love and don't let anybody tell you how to live." He's very weak now and simply nods when they tell him that they love him. On their way out, Lucky says that it's going to be alright and Lulu tells him that he's such a bad liar.
In the waiting room, Skye is handing out coffee and Bobbie warmly welcomes Scott. Leslie tells Scott that he's hated Luke for so long that he's practically family! Lucky isn't glad to see him, but eventually clams up about it. Lulu has gone back into Luke's empty room and crawled into his bed. She talks to Laura and asks her to stay with Dad tonight because he needs her more than he ever has. "Find him. And save him. And bring him back to us," she chokes through her tears. Logan finds her there and she rushes into his arms. Johnny has arrived, too, and watches from the doorway.
In the OR, Luke is trying to invite Epiphany back to his back to his place to spin some "33's" as he starts to go under. After he's down, Monica comes in and looks around at her staff. Then, she sees Emily -- all scrubbed in and ready to assist. Monica freezes and Eppy tells her to do something or they will lose the patient! From Luke's point of view, everything goes white and Skye comes to him. He sees her and says that there is heaven after all. Skye tells him that that's not where he's going at all. Suddenly Luke is thrown back into life, but he's dressed like an old man in a cardigan and sitting in by a fireplace.
Maxi and Georgie are sitting at the counter at Kelly's again and Georgie says that together maybe they can figure out who sent the text. She runs out to her car to get her phone. Maxi is nervous to be alone and tells Georgie to hurry back. As soon as she's alone, Maxi gets a text. Georgie runs into Coop outside and he has his cell in his hand.

Trevor shows up at Jason's and asks if it wasn't enough to loose his sister? Jason asks what that is supposed to mean. Trevor says that if he doesn't stay away from Johnny, he's going to lose someone else that he loves.
NEXT ON General Hospital:
Jason smashes Trevor's head down on a desk and presses his gun to it.
Luke tries to leave the house that he's in but Skye tells him it's awfully hot out there.
Monica goes to Luke's family and tells them how sorry she is.
