So is Skye, Ric, Alan and the strangler!
Luke wakes up in his hospital bed and almost forgets where he is. Tracy asks how his hangover feels. Luke tells her that she won't get a sobriety pledge from him any time soon. He points out that he agreed to the surgery, nothing else. "If my post-surgical ticker can't keep up with the rest of me, I'll die a free and happy man," he says. Then he is taken for blood work and Tracy isn't pleased, yet she tidies up his bed anyway. As she does, Skye pops in to see Luke. When Tracy tells her that it could be hours, Skye leaves a note for him. Tracy opens it the moment she is gone. "Dear Tracy, quit being so insecure, you can't keep Luke away from me forever," Skye writes. Just then, Alan appears to tell Tracy how selfish she is being. Tracy says that Luke is her husband and she doesn't want him to spend the last time that he has left with Skye!
Kate is pouring Alexis some tea in her living room. They talk about interior decorating for a bit, and then Kate cuts to the chase. She asks Alexis if she may retain her services. Alexis doesn't understand why Kate wouldn't use Diane, and Kate says that since she wants to sue Sonny, it would be a conflict of interest. She explains that she wants Alexis to come up with whatever she can think of to make Sonny understand that she is serious about keeping boundaries. "He will not control my life like he controls everything else," she says. Alexis accepts the challenge.
Trevor finds Ric back in his office almost fully recovered. Ric says that thanks are due, in part, to him. Trevor says, "Richie, I was never going to let you die." He says that it took that night for him to realize how much he has alienated him. He says that he can't change the past, but he'd like to forge some kind of relationship now. Ric says that the only time he has shown some fatherly attention is when he wants something, so what is it this time? Trevor comes right out and tells him it would be better for everyone if the PCPD pins Emily's death on Anthony and let it go at that. Ric remembers that Trevor wanted him to pin Leticia's death on a homeless man, so does this mean that Anthony killed Leticia too? Ric asks how many times he's going to let nut cake Zacchara take the blame for the real killer? After Ric has finally gotten rid of his father, he gets another visitor. Skye! He thanks her for sticking around him during the ball. She jokes that she only did it because she knew that she could use his gratitude some way or another. Ric says that his father already tried that tact. Skye gets serious and tells him that he can show his gratitude by finding out who killed Emily.
Jason goes to Sonny's office to report his theory that Anthony had nothing to do with Emily's death. Sonny has to agree. He says that whoever the killer is, he is targeting the women in his life. Jason doesn't see the connection, except for Leticia's death. Sonny says that Letica and Emily were strangled and Carly almost was. He says Alexis or Kate could be next. Jason tells Sonny that he agreed to stay out of Jake's life to protect him - that's the only way he can be sure he'll be safe. Sonny asks if he is supposed to walk out of Kate's life now?
Georgie is at home studying when she gets a text from someone looking for Maxi. Maxi rushes downstairs late for work and Georgie jumps down her throat for never answering her own phone. Maxi doesn't exactly apologize, but says that in addition to work, she also has to go to the PCPD to give her report about the B&W ball.
Bobbie goes to Luke's room and finds Tracy talking to Alan. She asks what Tracy was saying about Skye? Tracy says that she just wants to help Luke get better, that's all. Bobbie says that she just doesn't want Luke to leave her for a younger woman. Luke is wheeled into the room and asks what younger woman they are talking about? Bobbie wants some time alone with her brother and Luke is finally able to convince Spanky to leave for a few minutes. He asks her not to lecture him, too. She says that she wouldn't dream of it, she's simply come to tell him how much she loves him and never wants to be without him. He kisses her hand.
Maxi shows up at the PCPD and tells Coop that she's been called in for questioning. He tells her not to volunteer anything! Detective Harper comes up to her and she says that she was with Georgie the whole evening. Detective Harper says how odd it is because Cooper already said he was with her all evening. He takes Maxi into the interrogation room and asks her to tell him everything about that night. Maxi says who went where and when and it's clear that Detective Harper is more curious about where Cadet Barrett was. After Maxi repeats her story, he draws the conclusion that Coop had no alibi for the majority of the night.
Sonny calls Alexis over to tell her that he has put extra men on her and the girls and she's going to have to deal with it. Alexis says that she understands and then pulls out a formal notice that his stone wall is infringing on Kate's property by 3 inches. In fact, Kate wants the "offending wall" torn down immediately. After Alexis leaves, Sonny calls Diane right over. Diane is clearly fired up at the prospect of going up against Alexis again and promises to wipe the floor with her. She rambles on about how much fun it will be until she realizes that Kate could end up so grateful that she presents her with some strappy pumps to go with her Neila Laurente gown! Sonny just roles his eyes.
Tracy finds Monica at the nurses' desk and asks what Luke's test results are. Monica says that he's lucky to be alive - he's had three massive coronaries and couldn't take one more. She says that she will scrub in and monitor Leo's surgery. Tracy seriously says that she would normally want no one but her to perform open heart on her husband - but now, she wants her to stay away because of her grief for Emily. Monica resents the implication that she is not capable to do surgery.
Jason has been called into the PCPD to see Detective Harper, but when he arrives, the detective has gone out. Lucky sees him and says, "I've got this." As soon as they are in the interrogation room, Jason tells Lucky that he won't let Lucky's hatred of him keep them from finding out who killed his sister. Lucky says that Zacchara killed Emily to make a point - and if it hadn't been for him that would've never happened. Then he says that he'll make damn sure that what happened to Emily never happens to Jake. What Lucky doesn't know is that Ric has walked into the room.
Tracy goes back to Luke's room to say that Monica will be coming soon. He badgers her about the younger woman who came to see him and finally she tells him it was Skye. Then she tells him that she's asked Monica not to do the surgery and Luke gently tells her that they should "take what comes." Tracy tells him that it's awfully "Zen" of him and they joke about Luke doing yoga and finding his center.
Alexis and Diane come together and spar over the brewing legal action between Kate and Sonny. As they are slinging one-liners, Diane gushes over Alexis's patent leather pumps. Alexis gushes in return and says that they were given to her as a retainer by Kate. In fact, they are Neila Laurente originals. "You realize of course that this means war," Diane declares.
Sonny shows up on Kate's doorstep and she tells him that all communications will take place between their lawyers. Sonny tells her that Diane's feelings are hurt, by the way. Kate apologizes for that and tells him to take down the stone wall. "I'm not trying to control you, just let me keep you safe," Sonny says.
Trevor and Skye are meeting at the Metro Court - at his invitation. She asks if she is about to facilitate a reconciliation between him and his son? Trevor says this is the real word. Instead, he makes an offer on behalf of the Zacchara family.
Before going to work, Maxi stops back at home to change her blouse because she spilled coffee on it. The strangler is waiting for her and wraps a wire around her neck as she's about to go upstairs.
