"6 hours earlier. 11 p.m."

Kate's voice says, "We all have limits - lines we won't cross. Until we do." As Kate and Lulu look on, Sonny yells out to Zacchara that his son's blood is about to be spilled. Johnny calmly tells him that if he dies, his father will kill everyone on the island. Kate begs Sonny to spare Johnny's life. Sonny holds firmly onto his gun as Johnny calmly says that after he's dead, Sonny needs to get Kate and Lulu out of here right away. Kate insists to Sonny that he's not really going to do this. Sonny thinks, and finally walks away from Johnny and withdraws his gun.

"Did you come to watch me die?" Ric asks Trevor as he shows up just in time for his operation. Patrick tells Trevor what type of blood Ric needs. Trevor says that he isn't a match, but offers to go to the ballroom and find a donor. Before he leaves, he bends over and says to his son, "Fight Richie, fight." Alexis is clearly in pain, but assures Skye that she can wait.

Inside the cave on the grounds, Carly asks her male companion why he's come there? Anthony Zacchara tells her that he just wants to wait out the storm. Then, he asks if she gardens. They chit chat about the storm for a while and Anthony shows more empathy for the roses in this storm than the people in the mansion. As he talks about how people who betray you should wither up and die, Carly looks at him suspiciously. He talks about the hybrid rose he created for his wife - "Rosa Maria", a deep red beauty. Carly says that she has a son named Benjamin, and then asks him if he has any children. "One boy," he tells her. AZ talks about Johnny and Carly just takes it all in. AZ asks her who she would pick if she had to choose between her son and her husband. Carly tries to remain neutral, but is forced to admit that she is devoted to her son. AZ grows agitated as he describes the mother/son bond. He says that a man can't compete with unconditional maternal love. Carly wisely talks about her husband being the love of her life. AZ reaches over and pulls his jacket off of Carly's shoulders. 'Your husband is a very fortunate man, don't ever betray him like my wife betrayed me," he says as he leaves her alone in the cave. After he's gone, Carly gasps.

Nik has gone off to retrieve one of his guns so he can go look for Lucky. Emily is begging him to put his gun away because he could have another black out at any time. She's frantically trying to get through to him, but Nik asks if she honestly thinks he would hurt Liz or Lucky? Em is walking a fine line with her words, but he forces her to remember that she said she believes in him.

In the ballroom, Jerry offers everyone the chance to leave the island, but Luke tells them there's no way that the supply boat that Jerry has patched together is stronger than the Coast Guard warning and the raging storm. Luke explains mob war 101 and says that they are all witnesses to various crimes tonight that are very expendable - so they need to stay put locked in the ballroom together. Jerry says, "To hell with all of you" and tries to leave with Sam, but she wants to know about Lucky first.

Logan is getting antsy. He asks Coop how badly he's hurt because they need to go out and look for Lulu. Coop says that he has a splitting headache. Maxi says that Lulu doesn’t need a hero; she's just out after her man of the day. Logan tells Maxi to shut up and that Lulu just feels sorry for Johnny. Maxi spits that if he was bald and fat she wouldn't be risking her life to be with him.

Luke and Scott are still arguing over Luke's plan to wait it out rather than take the boat to the mainland. Sonny knocks at the door and Luke steps out into the hall to talk to him. Luke sees Lulu, Johnny and Kate with him and orders them into the ballroom. Then, Sonny tells Luke that he tried to bait AZ, but it didn't work. Luke tells Sonny about Jerry's plan to take the launch back to the mainland, but Sonny agrees that it the boat will never make it. He tells Luke to go back into the ballroom and handle the crowd, and he'll go after Zacchara.

Spinelli and Nadine have run into Jason in the hallway. Spinelli and Nadine want to help Jason with Zacchara but Jason says it's too dangerous. Nadine argues that he could use some help, but ultimately Jason leads them out to the barn for safekeeping. Liz lets them inside. Jason insists that they all stay in there and Nadine says, "I'm sorry, but I still don't see where you're in charge." Jason leaves anyway and Nadine thanks the Jackal for saving her life. Spinelli says that they simply ran away from AZ, but Stone Cold is going after him! He turns to Liz to support his case that Jason is a hero. Liz says that Nadine has a point - Jason won't ever accept help. There's a knock at the door and Liz holds the gun while Spinelli investigates. They can't figure out who it is and decide to storm out of the door together. When they do, they find an unconscious "evil doer" and drag him inside the barn.

Robin, Leyla, Alexis, Patrick and Emily are debating whether it's worth the risk to operate on Ric in such a primitive way. They decide that it's all they can do because he can't be moved and he'll bleed to death if they do nothing. Robin tells Emily that there aren't gloves and she doesn't want to expose Ric to HIV so Emily offers to take her place in assisting Patrick.

Trevor is let into the ballroom. He announces that Dr. Drake is going to operate on his son and he desperately needs A- or 0- type blood. No one is a match, but Trevor looks pleased to see that Johnny is safely behind held in the ballroom with the others. As Trevor leaves, the crowd in the ballroom hears a familiar shriek. "Spank?" Luke wonders.

Luke rushes out to the foyer to the find Tracy in a heap at the bottom of the stairs. She has taken a fall down the stairs and is blaming Alfred for pushing her. Turns out she has been waiting out the storm in a compost shed. As she's yelling at Luke for not coming to look for her, he plants a big kiss on her "for being alive." Believe it or not, Luke gets Scott to team up with him to help Tracy. They moved her to a room with a sofa and are tending to her broken leg. Luke sends Scott to fetch a "bucket of brandy" for his wife's pain. And if he could put a bulls eye on his back, all the better, Luke shouts after him.

Carly shows up soaking wet in the ballroom. She says that she just spent time alone in a cave with the madman that is Zacchara. Then she asks where Jax is and Georgie explains that Jax is out on the launch trying to help them all escape, but they've been ordered to stay inside. Carly yells at the crowd for not going after him, but just then he arrives and she runs into his arms. She tells him that she was right - she just saw Zacchara.

Nik returns to the ballroom and Kate asks if he has seen Sonny. Carly is surprised to hear that Sonny is here AND that he's gone off to face Zacchara alone. Nik says that he hasn't seen Sonny, but Ric's surgery is about to begin or else he'll die. Jax tells Carly that he has to get Ric to the mainland right away. Carly is mad at him for risking his life, but ultimately tells him to be careful.

Nik pays a visit to the "operating room" and asks if he can do anything for anyone. He notices that something seems wrong with Alexis, but she says it's just stress and she'll be fine. After Nik leaves, Jerry and Sam show up just when the procedure is getting underway. Patrick tells Jerry that it's too late to move Ric. Sam asks if anyone has seen Lucky, and Skye says that she'd like everyone to focus on the man who is bleeding to death. Jerry reports that Zacchara isn't the only madman on the island; he has goons they need to worry about so he'd like to take as many people as possible out via launch.

Johnny has slipped out of the ballroom and Lulu follows him. She catches up to him and offers to help stop his father. Jason finds them and says this isn't the time and place to argue. Johnny tells Jason to get Lulu out of here and he'll take care of his father. Jason says that AZ has already killed at least one person and it's too late to save him. "I'm not going to save him. I'm going to kill him," Johnny says.

Coop reports to the crowd in the ballroom that Tracy has broken her leg and will be kept in a room upstairs by Luke and Scott. Maxi tells Coop that she's glad he's back. Coop says that he's not trained for this, but then tells Logan that they need to go off and discuss security.
Scott brings the finest brandy in the house for Tracy to drink and Luke holds his hand up for some, but none is offered. Scott says they might as well hunker down and Luke grabs the bottle and takes a swing. "Sauce up," Scott says.

In the ballroom, Carly tells Kate that she can be the good little girlfriend and sit back, but she's going to look for Sonny and offer him some help. She takes off and does indeed find Sonny just as Trevor is informing him that his brother needs his help or he'll die. He asks Sonny for his blood type and it turns out that it matches Ric - A-. Trevor yells that Sonny has to save his brother and Kate shows up. She assures Trevor that she's sure Sonny will help. "The hell he is," Carly says, "If Ric's bleeding to death, let him!"

NEXT on GH:

In the "operating room" Robin says, "We're losing him."

Kate affirms that Sonny won't let his brother die.

AZ finds Maxi.

As Em comforts Nik, he turns on her and she screams.
