Anthony Zacchara has made it into the mansion, Carly sets a trap for a killer and Nik rages against Emily.
Wyndemere, Spoon Island 5 a.m.
As Nikolas is lying on the terrace unconscious in his black tux, we hear his voice saying, "How much time do any of us really have? Would you want to know if it was running out?" When he comes around, he sees a bloody white mask on the ground next to him and cries out. He crawls toward it and sees her hand.
"Ten hours earlier."
Robin tells Nikolas how wonderfully the evening is going. He tells her that there's no time to waste and he doesn’t believe in putting things off. Robin tells him that Emily is a lucky woman. She says that this probably isn't the best time to ask him to be the father of her child then, huh? She goes on to give him her speech about single motherhood and all she needs is a donor. Nikolas says that the Cassadine genes are questionable at best and Robin understands. After he walks off, she looks worried about him.
On the terrace, Lucky demands that Liz and Sam tell him what they are fighting about. Liz tells Lucky that Sam is only sleeping with him to get back at Jason. Sam says that Lucky and she were the ones who were cheated on! Emily comes out and asks what's going on and Lucky says that Liz attacked Sam. Surprised at the side he has taken, Emily tells Lucky that he should be grateful that Liz didn't take the boys away from him when she had the chance. Suddenly Nik shows up and asks Em, "Who the hell are you to trash my brother?" He tells her that he is so sick of her protecting the almighty Jason and for some reason she wants Liz to be with him! Emily withdraws and takes Liz with her to clean up. Lucky gratefully thanks Nik for being on his side, but asks why he was so hard on Em? Sam tells Lucky that she wants a word alone with her cousin and then asks Nik if he's okay? "What just happened?" Nik asks her.
Jax finds Carly out on the terrace. She is texting, "Where RU?" but quickly tells Jax that she is enjoying the night sky.
In the foyer, Trevor urges Johnny to go home, but he says that his father won't go anywhere else until he has killed Lulu. Johnny leaves and Ric approaches. Father and son verbally spar for a few minutes. Ric asks how Johnny Z got invited and Trevor says that he has a thing for Lulu Spencer. Trevor explains that Johnny's mother died and that's why he looks after Johnny. Ric states that the loss of a mother is indeed a hardship for a boy. He says that karma's rough and it's funny to him that it's Trevor's job to look after him. Ric fishes for information about the two guys who ended up dead the other day and just as the conversation is getting heated, Skye finds him and says "Once upon a time I had a date." Ric tells her that she still does, and leaves Trevor on his own.
Lulu walks in the study to find Luke with Logan. She asks him if Logan is being pressured to break up with her? Logan says that he's not going anywhere. Luke sucks down a cocktail while Logan tells Lulu how lucky he is to have her back. Scott comes in and tells Luke whatever he has on his son won't stick. Lulu can't believe her ears - is Luke trying to blackmail Logan? Lulu informs Scott that her father wouldn't do that because he knows what it's like to make mistakes and be forgiven for them. Luke tells Scott that he is despicable for trying to get to him through his daughter. Lulu grabs Logan's hand and pulls him out of there.
In the ballroom, people are dancing and Jerry is admiring their form. Alexis brings him a glass of champagne and he thanks her for plying him with alcohol. He gives her a gentle kiss on the cheek and walks away without noticing her little smile. Across the room, Leyla tells Patrick that she's having a wonderful time. He offers her a bite of food and she tells him about the legend that says if a man feeds a woman from his hand he is her sexual slave. Patrick doesn't object, but across the room Robin seems to.
Skye dances with Jerry and wants to know why he asked her. He says that "the drape of her dress" is nice, but he really wants to know about her waterfront property. Before their conversation goes any further, Jax cuts in and Jerry graciously hands Skye over. As they dance, Jax asks Skye what Jerry is up to and Skye admits that her dance card is full because of her newly acquired waterfront property.
Out on the terrace Nik tells Sam that he remembers coming out with Emily and that's all. Sam explains that she and Liz were acting really childish and then says that he jumped in and went off on Emily. Nik is sad to hear that. He tells Sam that he's going to see a specialist in Switzerland. He says that all he really wanted was to give Emily one night of happiness before it's too late.
Emily has whisked Liz up to her bedroom to repair her gown and fix her hair. Liz is apologizing for her bad behavior at the ball but all Emily can think about is Nikolas. She tells Liz a little about what's going on with him and says that she couldn't bear to lose him. She says that the blackouts are becoming more frequent and they are lasting longer. What's more, he's convinced that he might hurt Spencer so he's not spending any time with him. Tonight he's at Grandma Leslie's house. Nikolas comes in and apologizes to both of them. Liz hugs him and leaves Em and Nik alone. Em admits that she told Liz everything and that she thinks they should tell Lucky, too. Nik says, "First I'd like you to reconsider your promise to marry me." She won't hear of it. He worries that he'll hurt her and she tells him that when a person is hypnotized, they don't do anything that goes against their basic nature. She thinks his blackouts are the same way. Alfred comes in with "news of an alarming nature."
Outside, Anthony Zacchara looks up at the stormy night sky and proclaims that he's doing this for Maria as he approaches the mansion.
The ballroom is full of activity. Carly feels the buzz of another text coming in and tells Jax that she has to go call Michael. Finally, she's able to read the display on her phone. It says "CU 10 minutes." She takes advantage of the time by going back and nabbing Jax from talking to Kate so they can finish their dance. Across the room, Johnny thinks Nadine is Lulu because they are wearing the same dress. Later, he asks her to dance. Georgie asks Spinelli to dance and they take a few awkward whirls.
Maxi pulls Robin into the study and brings Georgie along for a Scorpio chick talk. She tells Robin that she can't stand across the room making eyes at Patrick - it's embarrassing! The three girls commiserate about their miserable romantic situations. Robin says that she wishes she could stop missing Patrick so much (tears brim her eyes). Her sisters encircle her with a big hug.
Lucky finds Sam on the terrace and asks if she's okay. Sam tells him that she's fine; she just needed a little time to herself. She recalls how she used to listen to the quiet on her boat and feel the weather change. As he rubs her shoulders, she tells him that he is wonderful and wonders why it still wasn't enough for Elizabeth.
Maxi comes straight out from seeing Robin cry to face Leyla in the ballroom. She calls her a liar and a skank for stealing Patrick from her cousin. Then she pulls her strand of pearls off her neck and walks away. Nearby Scott asks Robin if Luke told her where he stashed Laura. She says that she wouldn't tell him anyway. Patrick approaches Robin and asks to talk for a minute. He pulls her outside and says that Georgie attacked Leyla and it's her fault!
AZ has made his way into the castle. He finds an antique knight suit in the foyer and gives in a deranged smile. Later, Coop wanders out there and admires the antique gun that the knight is holding. Georgie finds him and asks him to give Maxi another chance. Before he can answer, he gets a text and excuses himself because he has something that he has to go take care of.
Patrick and Lulu are dancing, but Johnny has convinced Nadine to cut in and dance with Patrick. Once Lulu is in Johnny's arms she asks what he's doing here. He pulls her away and says, "Stay with me."
Kate is out on the terrace alone when Trevor finds her. She asks if he is stalking her. He tells her that he cares for her and wants her NOT to stay at this house tonight. She should leave while she has a chance, he warns. Kate says that she'll do no such thing because she's waiting for Sonny. Trevor calls her a fool and she snaps, "That's evidenced by the years I spent with you." Trevor turns and leaves. She stands out there alone for a while until Sonny finds her there. He tells her that she is beautiful and she falls into his arms for a kiss.
Nik and Em go back to the ballroom so that Nik can make an announcement. Apparently the Harbor Patrol has shut down the harbor because the storm is heading their way. He says that they have plenty of rooms and might as well enjoy their long night together. Moments later, lightening strikes and the power goes out.
Carly is waiting in the study for Leticia's killer to meet her there. She hides when Ric drags Alexis in to yell at her for socializing with Jerry Jax. They argue about Molly's safety and Alexis's general lack of good judgment until Ric leaves and Alexis throws something across the room at him. When the power goes out, Alexis leaves the room. Carly steps out from her hiding place to wait. A moment later, Coop enters the study!
Back in the ballroom, Logan drags Nadine off to the side of the dance floor and asks her who she was dancing with because Lulu has disappeared! Spinelli comes up and tells Logan to unhand her. Nikolas finds Leyla crying and apologizes for them all being stranded. He says that they're trying to get the generator running so she shouldn't be frightened. He asks why she is crying and she hands him her broken pearls.
But not everyone in Port Charles is on Spoon Island! Jason goes to Sonny's office and finds Diane there talking on the phone. She ends her call and asks if Sonny is back yet. She informs Jason that his dear friend Carly is about to get into some serious trouble. Jason asks what Carly has done now? Diane says that she usually upholds attorney/client privilege, but not when someone could wind up dead. Then she informs Jason that Carly went to the ball with a gun because she thinks that she is going to met up with Leticia's killer.
On Spoon Island, JZ is dragging Lulu to the launch. Lulu demands to know what he is doing here! He explains that he's got to get her outta there before his father kills her.
Alexis returns to the study. What she sees there makes her shriek as if she were auditioning for a slasher flick.

Liz tells Lucky about Nik's condition.
Robin passes out and Patrick catches her.
Carly tells Coop that she's going to blow his head off.
Coop calmly tells her to give him the gun.
