Carly is deeply saddened to lose such a close family member, Jerry goes to "Sweet Sam", and Trevor meets Skye.
Jason and Carly have just arrived at her house and found Letica dead - she was strangled with a phone cord. Carly calls for an ambulance to come to 602 Bradenwood Terrace. When Mac and the PCPD arrive they question Carly and Jason about what happened. Carly is upset about how the boys will react and Jason asks Mac if he can take her to Sonny's and then come back to answer questions. Mac agrees.
Emily is at Liz and Lucky's house. She's worried because Nikolas isn't answering his cell and he was supposed to meet her there for dinner. She tells them of her concerns about him because he's been acting strangely lately. As she explains about Nikolas's temper, Lucky gets a call to report to the scene of a murder at Carly's house. Lucky tells Liz and Emily that Carly's nanny has been killed and then leaves. Nikolas shows up just as he is leaving and Emily rushes to his arms. Liz is quiet.
Kate doesn't know how to act now that Sonny has invited Carly and the boys to move in with him. He asks if she's jealous and she says, "Do you want me to be?" Sonny says that she always keeps him guessing and that makes him want her more than ever. Kate asks Sonny about his feelings for Carly and he says that he wants her safe, that's all. He says that his life is complicated and she says that hers is too. Sonny says that they both know that she would better off if she went back to Manhattan, but he doesn't want that. Kate asks if he's gotten over the fact that she was with Trevor. He asks if she is planning on seeing him again. "I wouldn't be here if I was," Kate smiles.
Ric is noticeably ruffled when he arrives into his office. He doesn't get a moment to catch his breath when Skye shows up. She asks him what he's so afraid of, and he brushes it off. Skye tells him that the PCPD is still holding Lorenzo's personal affects. Ric says that the little piece of leverage that Lorenzo had against him is still missing if that's what she's asking about. Skye tells him that she doesn't care if he was the one who killed Lorenzo - IF he's even dead, that is. Just then Trevor arrives and apologizes for his son's bad manners as he oozes charm and introduces himself. They talk for a minute about the Lorenzo murder trial and Trevor says that his son blew it. She leaves and Trevor tells Ric that she is a lovely woman. Ric doesn't want to small talk, he tells his father that he's about to find out what it's like to cross him as a grown man, not a ten year-old boy. He says that he'll make Trevor's life miserable if he doesn't lay off him and his daughter. As they argue over Molly, Ric gets a call from Mac about Leticia. When he hangs up, Ric tells Trevor that his client just had an innocent woman murdered. Trevor says that whoever Zacchara's attorney is would have a field day if such ridiculous charges where ever brought against him.
Jax is about to leave to meet Zacchara when he gets a phone call. Jax tells whoever is to make sure that Jerry doesn't leave the Metro Court when he "wakes up". Then, he uses his remote to unlock the car. It explodes and Jax ducks to safety.
Sam is a little skittish at home. She eyeballs an open window, and then closes it. As she turns around, she is grabbed from behind. She is able to wrangle herself free, or perhaps he lets go, but in any case, she finds out that it's Jerry. He has come with a proposition for "sweet Sam". She misunderstands and thinks that he wants to sleep with her and although he thinks they would be spectacular together, he wants her to sleep with Trevor Lansing. He explains that he works for a mob boss who is after Sonny's family, which now includes Jax. He wants Trevor to think that he's getting information from Sam, but she will be the one getting information. "Take the man into a hotel room, shove your cleavage into his face and get him to talk," Jerry suggests. Sam says that even if she did consider the disgusting job, what's in it for her? Revenge, he says. Sam tells him to just hire a hooker, but Jerry says that Trevor is too smart for that. Jerry says that Trevor would get a sick thrill at seducing both Sonny and Jason's ex lover. Just then Maxi barges in with some dresses and Jerry tells Sam to think fast and get back to him. After he's gone, Maxi wants to know what Jerry the psychopath wanted. Sam says that he wants to help her get revenge, but when she does go for revenge, she'll get it on her terms. Then Maxi shows Sam the dresses that she ordered from the Metro Court boutique. She says they are pretty revealing for the TV show, but Sam says they are for personal use.
Sonny, Kate and the boys sit down to dinner. They are having a nice time together and then Carly and Jason arrive. Sonny can see that something's up, so he asks Kate to take the boys upstairs. As soon as they leave, Carly says that they just found Leticia strangled at her house. "They're sending us a message," Sonny says. Jason leaves and Carly sits with Sonny on the sofa. She is crying and Sonny can't believe that "they" would come at them like this. Kate comes downstairs and reports that she had dinner taken upstairs to the boys and they are fine. She starts to leave and Carly asks if she's curious. Kate says that it's obviously a personal matter and she doesn't want to intrude. Sonny tells her about Leticia anyway and that Anthony Zacchara did it. Kate offers to help in any way she can, and then leaves. Carly breaks down in tears and Sonny says that he loves her and the boys and will never let anything happen to her. He says that it never occurred to him that Leticia would be in the line of fire - he was always concerned about everyone else. He grows angry at himself for leaving her by herself when all she ever did was nurture and protect their children. He tells Carly that she should blame him -- he chose this life and he dragged them all into it. Carly gently tells him that she doesn't blame him, but they need to worry about the boys right now.
While Jerry is out at Sam's, a man is looking through Jerry's hotel room. He finds a gun and tucks it into his suit pants. When Jerry returns, he finds a gun against his neck. Jerry is startled for a moment, and then realizes that it's Jax. Jax says that the car he was going to take to NY exploded on him. Jerry tells Jax that he is out of his league! Just then the cops arrive and want to question Jerry for Leticia's murder.
Jason returns to Carly's house just as Lucky is asking Mac why Jason always gets special treatment. Jason tells Mac that he'll explain everything they saw when they came home, and proceeds to do so. He says that he suspects that the NY mob boss Anthony Zacchara is behind this. Mac agrees to add some coverage to Sonny's family and then asks if there's anyone that Jason wants covered. Jason thinks for a moment and then says no. "What about Sam?" Lucky asks.
Nikolas is upstairs playing with Cam, and Emily asks Liz if she's upset about something. Liz explains that she's worried about what has happened to Leticia and worries if someone might come after Jake since everyone knows that Jason saved him. Emily says if it will make her feel better, she's sure that Jason would put a guard on their house. Liz says that Lucky will protect them.
Sonny and Carly call the boys downstairs to tell them about Leticia. Carly is sobbing as they explain that she is in heaven with the angels. After Morgan and Carly leave the room, Michael asks his dad what really happened. Sonny says that it looks like one of his enemies killed her and Michael says, "You have to kill them dad, you can't let them get away with it." Sonny demands that revenge only puts a whole in your heart…and hurts your soul. Michael and Sonny both have tears brimming in their eyes as they talk and finally Michael leans into his dad's chest and cries. Jason arrives as they are explaining that they'll be safe on the island for a while. Sonny apologizes that Carly has to put her life on hold, again, because of him. Carly says that Jax is going to have to understand.
After dinner, Emily and Nikolas offer to stay with Liz until Lucky comes home, but Liz says that she'll be fine. After they leave, Liz is locking up for the night and gets a little spooked. She goes to the closet and unlocks a box with a gun in it.
Lucky goes over to Sam's place and finds her door open. He draws his gun and carefully goes inside to see that her apartment has been messed up. He calls out to her. "I'm out here" Sam's voice calls from the terrace. He walks out there and finds her in the hot tub.
Emily and Nikolas arrive home. Emily tries to direct the conversation to why he didn't meet Lucky at the Metro Court earlier as planned and he dodges the question. "Where did you really go tonight?" Emily asks.
Jerry is deposited in Ric's office. Ric asks where he was between 7 and 8 p.m. and Jerry asks Ric where he was.
Sonny is on the phone yelling at someone when Jax arrives to see Carly and the boys. Sonny tells him that he's late, as usual, when they need him. "From now on Jax, I'm looking after Carly and the boys!" Sonny insists.
NEXT ON GH:
"I thought we agreed that you aren't protecting me anymore," Sam says as she stands in the hot tub.
Emily asks Nikolas what he's not telling her.
Sonny tells Jax that the enemy is watching.
