Nikolas thinks Jerry has something to do with Jake's disappearance, Amelia questions Sam and Mac wonders if Liz is the culprit.
Carly, Jax and the boys are packing up their balls and stuff for the Father's Day barbeque at Sonny's. Michael asks if they are going to argue today and Jax assures him that since he and Sonny care about the same people, there will be no more arguing. After Michael goes out to the car, the phone rings and no one is there. Carly hangs up and Jax accuses her of assuming that it was Jerry.
Kate is in a tizzy because her catered food was ruined and Warren, the publisher of her magazine, is on his way for lunch. Sonny asks if she and "Wayne" want to come over to join his family party. When Kate learns that Carly is invited, she says that she'd rather cancel her plans and stomps off. Mike arrives with some side dishes and cookies that Carly ordered. Sonny tells him that he's welcome to stay. In fact, with Jax coming, says that he'd like him to stick around. Mike says that he wishes they had done these kinds of things before, but he has plans. He tells Sonny that he's a good father and wishes him a happy father's day. "Right back atcha," Sonny says.
At the park, Liz promises Cam that they will practice tying shoe laces when they get home. Then she turns around and finds the stroller empty! She starts screaming for people to help her find her baby. When a cop comes to take her statement, she begs him to start looking before whoever took Jake leaves the park.
Meanwhile, Lucky has run into Lulu and Spinelli. He asks Lulu to stop by for a little while because it's Father's Day. Lulu says that their mom would like knowing that they are all together, and then wishes that Luke would check in. As Lucky starts to talk about Jake's blue eyes and how they match Laura's, his cell phone rings. It's Liz calling about Jake. He grabs Lulu and they race over to the park. Lucky takes Liz and Cam into his arms and starts to talk to Mac and the other cops who have arrived. Lulu offers to take Cameron to Audrey's and says that she'll call Nikolas and Bobbie right away.
At Wyndemere, Nikolas tells Emily that he won't rest until he stops Jerry, but she just wants to keep the peace. She says that if Jerry dies, she'll go to jail for espionage. And if they agitate him, he could retaliate in some way. She says that fighting over this situation would just make Jerry happy. Nikolas stubbornly tells her that he won't stop until Jerry isn't a threat to her any more. Emily notices some pretty roses in a vase and tells him that they could be enjoying a nice summer day…she tears rose pedals, one by one, and tosses them onto a blanket on the floor and then takes off her shirt. Nikolas laughs as he gets her drift and then closes the door to the study. After making love, Emily says that they can't change what Jerry has done, but they certainly don't have to let him ruin their lives in the here and now. Nik thanks her for reminding him what is important. His cell phone rings and he promises not to answer it unless it's family. But it's Lulu. Nikolas's face drops as he hears the news about Jake.
Sonny's boys greet him with a big hug and Sonny tells Jax that he's glad he came along. In return, Jax thanks him for the invitation. Carly and the boys bring out presents - one for Sonny and one for Jax. Sonny's gift is a homemade espresso cup and saucer and Jax gets a skim board and really goofy sunglasses for himself and each of the boys. Sonny looks on as the three of them pretend to surf. Sonny asks Michael to help him with the BBQ sauce the way he always does, but Michael forgets and asks Jax to go kick a soccer ball with him. Carly assures Sonny that Jax will never replace him as the boys' father and Sonny says that it's hard to see his boys with someone else. Just then Kate and her producer start to make their way across the lawn. Carly hears her voice and says, "You didn't!" Sonny starts to explain that Kate was in a bind, but by then Kate introduces Warren. Carly instantly gets out her claws and asks him if he's Kate's boss? Then she asks him if he hates children as much as Kate does. He says that he loves kids and asks Kate why she hates them? Kate says that she loves children. Carly announces that she runs a business & a family and that is what the normal woman's life is like. She points out that Couture magazine doesn't appeal to normal women and Wayne says that she has a point. Jax and the boys return, and Wayne is surprised to see his old regatta competitor Jasper Jax.
Amelia arrives on the set of "Everyday Heroes" and Wes, her assistant, gets on her case for being late. Turns out that Sam is late too and Wes is cranky about their shooting schedule. When Sam arrives out of breath, she apologizes for being late. Amelia says that she just arrived, too, and they both ask where the other was. Sam says that she took a walk in the park and decided that she needs to help Jason face his charges. Amelia agrees to lighten her shooting schedule and will try to think of a PR spin to help avert media attention. As for her, Amelia says that she has a personal life and doesn't want to say where she was. Sam says that she has dumped her entire life on Amelia's lap and if there's ever anything that Amelia wants to tell her, it's her turn to listen. Amelia isn't willing to share girl talk and steers Sam to get back to work.
When Nikolas and Emily arrive at the park, Mac questions them. He asks what Elizabeth's state of mind has been lately. He suggests that as a woman with a new baby, a pre-schooler, a job and a husband who is a cop it's possible that she blocked out what she saw due to post partum depression.
Spinelli is frantic as he races to the PCPD and demands that he speak with Jason Morgan on a family emergency. He says that Liz Spencer's baby was kidnapped and Coop asks what that has to do with Jason. Spinelli says that Jason has been a Spencer family friend and helped make sure that the baby came into the world safely. As he urgently speaks to Coop, Lucky and Liz arrives. Lucky jumps down Spinelli's throat for being involved with his son's case. He says that Jake is his son and HE will find him. Liz breaks down and Lainey comes to take her statement - at Mac's request.
As Sam gets down to work, Detective Rodriguez comes to the set and wants to speak with Sam about the Spencer baby's disappearance. He says that she's on the list of people that Elizabeth saw in the park. Sam is upset to hear that Jake is missing. She says that she talked to Elizabeth for a minute, got a milkshake and then raced off to work.
After the cookout, Wayne tells Sonny that his steak was wonderful. He says that he has some connections in the city if Sonny ever wants to open a restaurant. Wayne and Kate stand up to go home and work on their December issue when the boys kick a ball and Kate has to duck or else get hit in the head. Sonny says it reminds him of playing dodge ball in Benson Hurst and she acts like she's never heard of such a thing. Jax offers everyone cookies and Wayne laughs and say that it's been at least a year since Kate has had a cookie. Wayne and Jax agree to sail together soon and Jax tells him that Port Charles is a far more fashionable place with Kate around. (Carly practically kicks him for that little comment.)
Lulu runs into Spinelli at Kelly's and he urges her to go to Sonny for help finding the baby. Lulu's eyes get big as she wonders if someone in the mob found out that Jake is Jason's son. She makes Spinelli swear that he never told a soul. Spinelli says that unless someone got into his computer, the leak didn't come from him.
Nikolas and Emily go back to Wyndemere and tell Spencer's nanny not to take her eyes off of him. Then, as Emily talks about how random this kidnapping seems, Nikolas says that it wasn't random at all - Jerry snatched him. Nikolas picks up the phone and makes plans to fly to Paris. He says that if Jerry didn't take him, he at least knows where he is. He asks Em to keep him posted and help with Spencer. He promises to call her and then takes off.
Jax and the boys carry stuff to their car and Carly bids Sonny a sweet goodbye. As Sonny wistfully watches them walk away, Kate comes back and says that boys always forget to wave goodbye -even on Father's Day. Then she says, "You must really be hurting."
Liz is crying as she tells Lainey that she turned around long enough to tie Cam's shoe. She doesn't understand why everyone is questioning her. When they get Lucky alone for a minute, Mac and Lainey tell Lucky that "Elizabeth wouldn't be the first mother with post partum depression to…do something to her own baby."
After Rodriguez has left the studio, Amelia tells Sam it's odd that she never mentioned that she saw Liz in the park. She adds that Sam doesn't even seem that upset to learn that Jason's child was gone. Finally, she says that it's ironic that this happened because Sam recently said that she wishes the baby would disappear.
