Sam decides to use a surrogate mother, Sonny goes a little too far with his neighborly feud, and Lucky has to do exactly what he never wanted to do.
Carly tells Jax that Jerry ordered caviar for breakfast and the waiter dropped his tray and quit. She asks how long they can allow Jerry to stay at the Metro Court. Jax says that Jerry will soon find out that the cops have a sample of "Mr. Craig's" blood, so he'll have to leave town. Jerry has come up behind them and overheard what Jax said. Jerry tells Jax that he can't believe he's trying to get rid of him already. He reminds his little brother that he's risking his freedom to stick around so that they can share their brotherly love. Jax says that he doesn't even recognize his brother anymore.
Ric has called Lucky into his office. When he arrives, Ric tells Lucky that there is evidence that Jason shot and killed Alcazar and he will have the pleasure of making the arrest. Lucky says that he can't do it because Jason cares about Elizabeth. Ric explains that is exactly why Lucky is the perfect cop to bring him in. He says that Jason won't lay a hand on Lucky because of his feelings for Liz and her children.
Amelia is on the set with her assistant, Wes. She says that the ratings for the show continue to climb. Wes asks how she will proceed now? Amelia says that her original plan was to make Sam suffer for what she did to her father, but instead, now she intends to use Sam to build her career. To that end, she intends to make Sam her best friend! Later Carly arrives to the set at the request of Amelia. Amelia wants to know if Jax's brother is truly the man who was responsible for the hostage crisis. She says that "Everyday Heroes" hangs in the balance because if Sam became a hero at the hands of Jax's brother the show will suffer - he needs to have been a monster. Carly, who isn't happy to be anywhere near Amelia, merely says that Mr. Craig is a psychotic man and then leaves.
Sam goes to the hospital to talk with Dr. Lee about her options for having a child via a surrogate. Later, she goes to Sonny's office to apologize to Jason for over reacting during their argument. Jason tells her that he thinks about her inability to a baby every day and it's all because of him. She tells him that she needs to focus on what she does have, or what she can have. Jason says that he'll do anything to help her and she says that she just wants him to stay honest with his feelings. They exchange "I love yous" and hug.
Sonny is on his terrace grumbling about the helicopter that is circling above. From her side of the fence, Kate is talking to the pilot through a walkie talkie and directing him how to safely deposit a valuable statue into her garden. Over on Sonny's terrace, Jason arrives and Sonny orders him to shoot down the "thing" that's dangling below the helicopter. Jason carries out Sonny's wishes and Kate has to watch her priceless piece of art crash to the ground. "That'll teach her," Sonny says.
Patrick and Robin are at work and a student nurse dreamily compliments his job in surgery yesterday. After she walks away on cloud nine, Robin chastises him for flirting. Later, he asks Emily if she thinks it's unacceptable when he's pleasant to other women. Emily says that his idea of being pleasant is flirting and it would drive her insane if she was Robin. Just then, Scott finds Patrick and wants to know about his experiences as Laura's doctor during her recovery. Patrick doesn't answer the question, but says that taking Laura away from Luke is highly detrimental to her welfare and he'll gladly tell that to the judge. Robin joins them and Scott asks what the chances are of finding another drug to help Laura. She says that she is in constant touch with the doctors in Switzerland and if there is every any news, she will go directly to Laura's family. Only.
Kate brings a chunk of the 18th century garden ornament that smashed through 3 levels of her home over to Sonny's place. She angrily demands that Jason tell her how much Sonny paid him for shooting it down. Jason tries to slip out of the door, but he hears Kate tell Sonny that he has always gotten away with things and he won't this time. Jason says, "You two know each other?" Sonny explains who "Connie" is -- in spite of Kate's wishes to keep her past behind her. Kate tells Jason not to breathe a word of it to anyone, then he leaves. Now Kate is furious about the statue AND Sonny's big mouth. Sonny tells her that she didn't care about the "rock" it was just something to impress her fancy friends with. Despite her best efforts, Kate gets sad as she informs Sonny that the artist was from a small town in Italy where her grandfather grew up and it had great sentimental value to her because it reminded her where she came from.
Lucky goes to the hospital to meet Liz and Jake for his checkup. He apologizes for being late and says that something came up at work. When Liz asks what's up, he says only that he loves his job but doesn't always like what he has to do. He says that he'd love to take them to the park later, but he's waiting for a warrant to come in and then he'll have to go make an arrest.
Ric has called Jax into his office. He says that Jerry will be charged with every crime that James Craig committed if the blood turns out to be one and the same. Then he informs Jax that aiding and abetting a known criminal is punishable by years in prison. He asks how Carly feels about the fact that Jax is protecting the man who tortured her. Ric challenges that Jerry will take everything that Jax has built his life around "unless you choose to stop him." Jax tells Ric that he doesn't have any evidence against his brother, if that's what he's looking for. In fact, he says that he was in Siberia looking for him at the time of the crisis. Ric tries to get Jax to talk by saying that he knows what it's like to have a dangerous older brother. Jax is done listening and leaves.
Carly is surprised when Sonny goes to her at the Metro Court with a favor. He says that he needs her to by him a statue. An "18th Century marble Sentar" to be specific. "Wow," Carly says. She wisely asks who the lady is. He explains what happened and Carly laughs and says that she would've paid to see that. Sonny says he'll understand if she doesn’t want to help and Carly quickly says that she will be happy to find the perfect statue for Miss Howard.
Lucky reports back to Ric and is given the warrant to go arrest Jason for the murder of Alczar. Skye has come by and asks what's going on. Ric tells her that they found evidence and sadly for her, Lorenzo isn't in South America after all. She asks if they found a body, but Ric says that won't be necessary. Lucky leaves and Skye asks Ric where HE was the night Lorenzo went missing. Ric asks her the same question. Then he says that he's confident that Jason is the guy, don't worry. She asks what kind of evidence they have. She tells Ric that by arresting Jason he's hanging her out to dry. She says that Sonny and Jason will think she led the PCPD to them and then they'll come after her.
Amelia finds Sam at work and is pleased to see that she's in a good mood. Sam says that after meeting with a fertility doctor it looks like she could be a mom by this time next year! Amelia says that she wishes that Sam would've consulted her. Sam says that she doesn't need anyone's permission! Amelia tells Sam that her image on the show isn't a mother and that much of her work involves strenuous stunts. Sam says that she won't be actually pregnant, but the child will be hers biologically - in any case, she can still do stunts. Amelia asks if the baby will be Jason's, and Sam says probably not. Amelia, in her best girlfriend voice, tells Sam that they should get busy and get work down before Sam becomes a mother in that case.
Sonny goes on his terrace and asks Milo if any more choppers have flown by. He admits that he might have overreacted by shooting down Kate's statue. He says that he thinks he'll ask Diane to lift the injunction. Just then his sprinklers go on and there's a scream from Kate's yard.
At the PCPD crime lab, a chemist is hard at work when he's called away. As soon as he leaves the room, Jerry (dressed as a chemist) slips in. He searches around until he finds the box with Mr. Craig's name on it - but it's empty!
Liz and Jake stop by the coffee shop for an iced latte and run into Jason. She reports that Jake's check up was great and that he's a healthy baby. She lets Jason hold him and before long, Lucky shows up. He tells Jason to give the baby back to Elizabeth and then tells him that he's arrested for the murder of Lorenzo Alcazar.
