General Hospital - DAILY UPDATES

The ambush is going on and Logan and Cooper have come down to the cellar to see if they can help in some way. Sonny is hit first, and then Logan. Upstairs Maxi calls for help as Lulu and Spinelli arrive. One of Lorenzo's gunmen runs upstairs and into Kelly's. He grabs Maxi and holds her at gunpoint. Coop comes in and points his gun on them. Downstairs, Jason realizes that everyone is either dead or gone. He yells to Sonny that they are clear. When he doesn't get a response he looks around and finds that Sonny has been hit.

At the hospital, Lucky asks Kelly if it's too early for the baby to come. She says that it could be a false alarm, but they need to do more tests. It turns out that Liz is indeed in early labor. Kelly says that chances are the baby will survive, but it is better if she is able to carry it to term. They decide to try medication to stop the labor. Just then, Lucky gets a phone call that calls him into work because of the hit on Morgan and Corinthos. Liz looks worried as she hears the news.

Sam is still doing the photo shoot at the Metro Court. She's giddy from the experience and very complimentary to Amelia for pushing her to strive for excellence. As she changes wardrobe again, the press comes in and announces that Sam's boyfriend has been involved in a shootout. She and Amelia leave for the hospital.

Mac and his cops arrive at Kelly's and see that Maxi is being held at gunpoint. They all have their guns pointed at the gunman and Cooper starts talking to Maxi. "Look at me Maxi, don’t be afraid just look at me…" Then he pops off a shot. It turns out that Coop is quite a shot and he was able to kill the gunman without hurting Maxi. Mac is furious at Coop for risking Maxi's life. Spinelli is impressed and Lulu tells Mac that Coop didn't have a choice! Jason whispers to Spinelli that he should go with Sonny in the ambulance. If Sonny starts to talk, Spinelli is to talk incessantly as only he can do so Sonny doesn't incriminate himself. After they leave, Mac asks Jason if he was ambushed or is he the killer?

Robin and Patrick are squabbling at work. Epiphany tells them that there's been a shootout and Sonny Corinthos is coming in unconscious. Robin tells Patrick that she will scrub in whether he likes it or not. Sam arrives and learns that Jason isn't in the ambulance and worries about what that could mean.

Skye is at home remembering Ric's warning as she comes into the room with Lorenzo and Lila Rae. She asks him what's going on and he says that Lila tried a new snack. Skye says that surely there's something more exciting about tonight than that. He says that playing with his daughter is exciting. He thanks her for loving him in spite of his flaws. Ric arrives to tell them about the shooting. "Alcazar, your boys are all dead, Sonny is hurt and Jason got away without a scratch. Which means payback will be swift." Lorenzo plays dumb and tells Ric to leave him alone. Ric turns to Skye and says that he feels sorry for her and her daughter because Corinthos will retaliate. She kicks Ric out and Lorenzo drops his act and tells her, "There is a way to salvage this."

"So how long have you been faking your condition?" Sky asks. Lorenzo admits that it's been weeks, but that he was completely disoriented during the hostage crisis. He said that once his mind cleared he figured the best way to keep her safe was to eliminate his enemies while they think he's helpless. Skye says that his enemies are wide open to retaliate now. He says that she can legitimately say that she had nothing to do with the ambush and he can keep faking his brain injury until he can figure out what to do. Skye says that she doesn't know whether to be furious with him, or happy that he has recovered. She says that she needs to go buy some teething gel for the baby and leaves. He walks over to Lila's crib and tells her that he doesn't have to lie anymore because her mother forgave him.

Carly and Jax are joyously oblivious in Montreal. She loves her new ring and feels awful for losing the first one to the goons. She tells him that it's "5 karats of perfection." She promises that when she passes it on their son she will tell him how hard they fought to come together, and then she wonders if Lady Jane will be upset when she hears that they are finally getting married. They sit down to eat and Carly says that she loves "them". She is so happy that Jax really likes who she is. He admits that he's been married to someone he loved and to someone else that he liked, but he doesn't think he's ever felt the same way about one woman. Carly tells him that from this night forward, he comes first. Later, when they flying home, Carly declares her love for her new favorite city - Montreal. They decide that flying can be quite stimulating. He asks her if she's chicken to make love on a plan and she says, "Never". Soon the pilot reports that they are experiencing turbulence but they just laugh and say that it isn't turbulence at all!

The hospital is a popular place after an ambush! Stan comes rushing up to the nurse's desk and asks his mom if Sonny was brought in. She snaps at him that he's lucky it wasn't him. Logan's ambulance arrives first, followed by Spinelli and Lulu. Spinelli sees Sam and tells her that Stone Cold is being questioned by Mac. Next Sonny is brought in and he's rambling, "Retaliate, hit 'em where it hurts." Spinelli steps up and tries to do his job. He says that is the song that was playing in the ambulance. He starts to sing the so-called song about retaliation and Epiphany asks him if he has a head injury. Patrick insists that Spinelli go away so he can work on Sonny. Robin assures Spinelli that nothing Sonny says while unconscious can be used against him. Then Kelly finds Lulu and tells her that Liz is in early labor. Sam overhears!

Back at Kelly's, Mac is questioning Cooper and Jason. Jason gives his standard "no comment" and Coop gives a full analytical accounting of how things went down. Mac is impressed by Coop's reporting, but asks why Logan had a gun. Coop reports that they served as MP's together and that he is licensed to carry a gun. Coop asks if he can go to the hospital because he is the only person that Logan knows, and Mac lets him go. Lucky arrives at the scene and gets rebuked for not showing up quickly enough. When Mac learns that Liz has gone into premature labor, Mac tells him to go to her. Lucky leaves and Mac tells Jason that his story checks out and he is free to go.

The hospital is buzzing with activity. Lulu goes into Liz's room to see how she's doing. She tells her about the ambush and that Jason is fine, in case she's wondering. Liz says that since Jason has done so much for her and for Lucky, she is glad to hear that. Lulu suggests that perhaps Jason could be a part of their baby's life.

Coop gets to Logan and learns that he's about to go into surgery. Logan says, "Call my father." Coop asks how to reach him and Logan groggily says that his old man wouldn't care anyway. Coop steps out of his room and sees that Maxi is waiting for him. She says that she had to go home and clean herself up from the goon's blood. She remembers Jesse's head wound and all the blood. She cries and thanks Coop for saving her.

Spinelli runs into Sam and asks where The Blonde One is. When he hears that Lulu is with Liz because she's in labor he says, "OmiGod someone's gotta tell him." Sam asks who he's talking about.
Epiphany barks to Stan that he should get out of there and go home. Amelia has overheard and asks Stan what he did to that woman to make her so mean to him. "I was born. She's my mother," he says. They chat for a while and Amelia says that she needs to get Sam back to the photo shoot. Stan says that won't happen until Sam sees that Jason is fine. Amelia expresses her dislike for the fact that Sam's personal life keeps getting in the way of her career.

Jason arrives at the hospital and is greeted by Sam and Spinelli. Right away Spinelli tells Jason about Liz's labor and Sam says that Jason is more concerned about Sonny right now. Jason asks where Sonny is.

Next Skye arrives and finds Ric. She tells him that he was right and that Lorenzo has forced her hand. "I will do whatever it takes to protect Lila Rae from her own father."

Jax and Carly arrive home and as they walk past Kelly's they see the crime scene commotion. They ask Mac what has happened and he tells them about the ambush and that Sonny is at the hospital.

Spinelli goes to Liz's room with a video cam to record the birth (for Jason.)

Jax tells Carly that he knows that she wants to go see Sonny.

Sonny whispers "Don't leave me" to Carly.
