Spinelli wants Jason to claim his baby, Lulu wants him to keep quiet, and Sam finally notices that he's hurting.

Spinelli comes home and finds Sam crying. She's worried because she woke up and Jason was gone, without a note. She senses that something is tearing him up inside and she asks Spinelli if he knows what it is. Before he can answer, Jason comes home. Spinelli tells him to take off his battle armor and get real with Samantha because she's worried about him. He leaves them to talk. Sam tells Jason that she can see the pain in his eyes lately. She tells him that she understands what he's lost. She says that losing Alan must feel like losing a daughter - so they have loss in common. She wants him to let her in so she can help him. He tells her that there's an empty space inside of him that he has to get used to. He points out that time helped her heal when she lost her baby, that's all he needs. He says that riding his motorcycle helps him clear his head, so that's where he was this morning. She notices that he has hurt his leg somehow while riding and he promises to go have it looked at.
Stan is pumped as he tells Sonny that today the wheels of oppression are going to grind to a halt at the Metro Court. Sonny tells him that there won't be a strike, he can't do that to Carly. Stan is upset that Sonny is putting his feelings for Carly ahead of worker's rights.

Jax calls Carly and says that he'll pick her up for their night in Montreal in 30 minutes. She promises that nothing will distract her from being ready on time and thanks him for the dress that he sent. Then she notices that Michael is doing something suspicious down in the basement. Turns out that he's only looking for a ball, or so he says. They go upstairs and Carly tells him that she and Jax are going to Montreal for the night. He tells her that all that matters is that she is happy.

Alfred takes Alexis into the Windemere Study. She's there to see Mr. Brosnan. He comes out and asks how he can assist her. She tells him that she's trying to improve her social graces, so she's come to thank him for helping her. He tells her that she can be her normal tactless and aloof self where he's concerned. "How fun" Alexis says as she plops down on the sofa. Brosnan (Craig) asks how she could be so reckless to come pick wildflowers right after chemo. She tells him that she could've just left her there. He says that if her daughter had fallen off a cliff, Nikolas would've been too distracted to do business. She thanks him anyway and then gets up to leave. Her purse spills and he notes all of the meds as he helps her pick them up. She explains that chemo is hard on her and then offers the info about her being busted for smoking pot. He tells her that the American law prohibiting medical marijuana is prehistoric.

Ric has gone to the hospital to supeona Lorenzo's medical records. As Lorenzo arrives for an appointment, Epiphany alerts him to the situation. She goes off to get the records and Ric tells Alcazar that he's going to land on his organization and dismantle it. Then, he tells Lorenzo that Skye is in over her head and that he ought to get a nanny because she could get killed while he's "recovering." After Ric takes off, Lorenzo calls someone and tells him to push up the plans to take Sonny and Jason out because Skye is in danger.

Skye has asked Jax to meet her at Kelly's so they don't have to talk in front of Carly. She wants to talk about Alan's will. She thinks that Alan must've left something for Lila Rae in trust. If she had something put away for her daughter, she might not have to rely on Lorenzo so much. She asks him, as Michael's trustee, to help her contest the will. Jax says that Michael's interests are all that he is obligated to protect. Skye says that he just doesn't want to anger Carly and that she thought she could count on him. Skye tells him that he's a fool to be with Carly because she will always go back to Sonny. Then she stomps off and leaves him alone.

Across the room, Lulu is sitting with Spinelli and talking about Liz and Jason's baby. "Whose rights trump the other's?" Lulu ponders. It seems that as the mother, Liz's wishes are the ones that are the highest. Unless, Jason has changed his mind, she says. Spinelli wonders how invested Lucky can actually be at this point. If Jason is going to get to be a father, it needs to come out before the baby is born, he explains Lulu tells Spinelli that he just might be the only person in the world that Jason would listen too.

Sonny goes to Carly's house to tell her that he called the strike off. He says that he wants to change the way he operates with her from now on. He needs to start making good on his promises and treat her more like an equal and allow things to happen on her own time. Carly is wowed because she knows how hard this realization must have been for him. He would like to be rewarded for his efforts by taking her out to dinner. With tears in her eyes, she tells him that she's going out with Jax. She defensively tells Sonny that she does want to be independent, but she deserves to have a life. He tells her that she is the bravest woman he knows and that he hopes eventually she'll stop running and face what she feels. Then he leaves.

Sam has called Amelia over to propose a new slant on their crisis storytelling for "Everyday Heroes". She wants to recreate the actual disaster scenario instead of just talking about it. Amelia loves the idea and says that they'll get a great reaction on their press tour. Press tour? Sam says that she can't go away right now. Amelia offers to do whatever she can to help Sam keep her private life intact.
Jason goes to the hospital and tells Epiphany that he took a spill on his bike and needs to see a doc. Liz and Lucky have just returned from their ultrasound and are talking about how stubborn their baby is. They weren't able to get a peek at the gender but at least they know (s)he is healthy. Lucky gets a call from Lulu, so he has to go.

After Alexis gets home, Ric drops by to ask about the stranger who drove her and Kristina home after she passed out. Alexis says that it was just a business associate of Nikolas's. Ric tells her that Spoon Island is full of caves and streams and cliffs and she had no business going there right after chemotherapy. As Alexis is telling him to butt out, Craig is looking through the window.

Lucky races to Kelly's to meet Lulu. She tells him that she's worried about him with so much "newness" going on is his life. Lucky assures her that he won't go back on drugs if that's what she's concerned about. But days like today make it all worthwhile, he says. Then he tells her all about the ultrasound that they just had.

Lucky volunteers to pick up some forensic evidence so that he can go see Liz again. Liz says that she knows he wants a girl so he can name it Laura, but she's concerned about making their daughter live up to such big shoes.

Spinelli comes home to talk to Stone Cold. He finds him sitting in the dark. "You're giving me some major cause for concern buddy." Jason tells him to worry about his own life and to forget that Liz's baby has anything to do with him. Spinelli says that you can't exactly "unring a bell". He says that Sam knows that something is wrong and he won't be able to explain it away much longer. He says that he is, or was, Jason's partner and he feels like they have a "fighter pilot/wingman thing" going. He says that Jason feels like a brother and it kills him to see him in such turmoil. Jason is silent as Spinelli says that it's not fair to him or the kid "because it is going to be missing out on the world's most awesome dad." Spinelli tells Jason that he would play ball or with dolls with his kid and he'd always tell the truth. "And that's more than most kids get," Spinelli says. Finally, he gives us a peak into his own family. He says that they had a lot of secrets and it's not cool to find out that the people you've been counting on your whole life have been lying to you from square one." He worries that Jason's baby will find out the truth later and then feel like "the coolest dad alive didn't want him." It's silent for a second and then Lulu rushes in out of breath. She tells Jason that she was wrong…Lucky needs to be the one who is the baby's father.

Sonny is alone in his office holding a bottle of booze. He hasn't had a drink in months -- since he started his bipolar meds. He puts the bottle down to answer the phone - it's Michael calling to say that Morgan is injured in the basement. Sonny arrives at Carly's house just as she is coming down the stairs in her new black dress from Jax. He tells her that there is a problem with Morgan in the basement. They go rushing down the stairs and Michael locks the door on them. Upstairs, Jax is ringing the doorbell for their date.
