Alan's will is read, Carly makes it as far as the judge's chambers in the Dominican Republic and Stan and Spinelli face off.
Edward doesn't think it's fair of Luke to throw his love for Laura into Tracy's face. Tracy tells her father that she appreciates his concern, but she has come to accept Luke's feelings. Edward asks them to put their stuff aside for today so they can read Alan's will in peace. After Edward leaves, Tracy asks Luke if can embarrass her any more? Luke thinks he should get credit for thinking on his feet! "Take it easy Buttercup, you'll get what you deserve," Luke tells her as he heads out to change the will.
Logan and Lulu are still arguing at the warehouse coffee shop. He tells her that it looks like they have a lot in common. For starters, he says that they both have Thursday afternoons off. She snaps back at him with a sassy comeback every time he speaks, and he tells her that she's smarter than most chicks. "Looks like you've been hanging around the wrong women," Lulu counters. Spinelli returns and tells Logan that he and The Blonde One have private business matters to discuss. Logan says that there's no way a girl like Lulu would have anything to do with this guy. Lulu sets the record straight that Spinelli is a very brave genius who is handsome in his own way. Spinelli jumps right in and adds that he's "connected", too.
Sonny comes to the Metro Court and asks Jax if he's seen Carly. Max walks through the lobby, so Sonny asks him instead. Jax tells Max that now would be a good time to decide if he works for Sonny or for him. Jax dismisses Max and comes right out and tells Sonny that he doesn't appreciate Sonny sleeping with Carly the first chance he had. Sonny tells Jax that since he wasn't anywhere to be found, he has no idea how things went down. Then he makes it clear that he's going to do whatever he has to in order to keep Carly. After Sonny leaves, Max finds Jax and explains what he was trying to say earlier. He said that he took the boys to Bobbie's because Carly has left for the Dominican Republic. Max forwardly states for the record that Carly fought marrying Sonny with all she had. Furthermore, he tells Jax that if he and Sonny both lose Carly, that's what they deserve.
While flying on the private plane to the Dominican Republic, Jason tells Carly that it would be hard for him to have someone else raise his kids, but if it was what the mother wanted…Then he changes the subject and asks her point blank if she wants Jax or Sonny. Carly rambles more about Sonny's idea of love being "control" and that Jax is the best thing for her. "But he may not be an option anymore," she sadly says. Jason tells her that sometimes something happens that makes you do something you never thought you would do, and then you can't take it back.
A woman is rewinding Sam's Port Charles TV interview when she is interrupted by a phone call announcing that "she's here." The woman stands up and says that she'll be right down. She goes to the lobby of the building and introduces herself to Sam as Amelia Joffe and thanks Sam for coming from Port Charles for their interview. Sam says that she's not sure what she can say to a national audience, but Amelia thinks that Sam will be "ratings gold".
Emily is with Nikolas talking about Alan. She predicts how awfully the family will behave as they sit around with cocktails waiting to hear her father's will. She says that she's used to the fighting, but it's hard to imagine one of their family "free-for-alls" without her dad there.
At GH, Scott escorts Bobbie to the nurse's desk and thanks her for keeping peace between him and Luke at Alan's funeral. Bobbie says that she didn't take his side; she only wanted to help keep things calm for Monica's sake. Scott says that he hopes his presence at the funeral didn't upset Monica – since he's such a face from the past. Bobbie doesn't understand how that could be. They start to wonder what will happen at today's reading of Alan's will. Bobbie predicts that since Alan always liked to have the last word, so it could be a long laundry list of things that the family doesn't expect.
Sonny walks into the warehouse and Lulu excuses herself from Spinelli and Logan and follows him into his office. She shows him Alan's letter and points out the part about Scott Baldwin being Rick Webber's killer. Sonny says that if telling the truth would set Laura free, he'd suggest they come out with it. But in order to protect Luke from feeling as if he hurt Laura (by telling her that she killed her step dad) what good would it do? As for punishing Scott, Sonny tells Lulu that if indeed Scott "wrecked" the love of his life by letting her believe that she did it -- that is more punishment than sending him to jail.
The Q family is gathering in the study, including Luke, Jax and Scotty. Luke whispers in Spanky Buns' ear that everything is taken care of. No one can figure out why Jax and Scott have been invited to attend. Monica says that she's not in the mood for a scene, so let him stay.
The lawyer begins to read:
*A generous amount to the La Mesa Wellness Community for breast cancer research.
*Alice gets $75,000. (Jax rushes over to shake her hand.)
*Luke gets $250, 000 for putting up with Tracy. (Luke acts deeply touched.)
At this point, Ned wonders out loud if Alan was of sound mind when he last amended the will. The lawyer proceeds:
*There is to be an inheritance in trust for Michael Corinthos III, but since Alan didn't trust his parents, he named Jasper Jax as the trustee.
*Ned gets Alan's box seats at Wimbledon as long as he never shares them with Monica. (Ned and Monica had an affair many, many years ago, so this is a funny jab.)
*Dillon gets all of Alan's home movies because if anyone can edit them into something interesting, he can.
*Skye gets Lila's ruby earrings because she doesn’t need money now that she's with Lorenzo.
*Jason gets Alan's engraved signet ring even if he never wants to wear it. He can pass it on to own son. And since he is gainfully employed as a gangster he doesn't get any money either.
*Monica gets all of his personal goods since words would never express his love anyway.
*Edward is to receive Alan's medical diploma in hopes that it will finally fill him with pride.
*Emily will get Lila's diamond necklace and no money since she is to marry the Cassidine heir.
*And finally, Alan bequeaths the rest of his estate, valuable funds and ELQ stock to his sister Tracy.
The lawyer has finished reading the will and Edward declares that it is a fake! Monica agrees because Alan would have never cut Emily out of his will. Skye points out that Tracy made out pretty well. Dillon compliments his mother for a sneaky job well done. Tracy tries to divert the attention by saying that Alice could have had a hand in it. As they bicker, Emily demands that they respect her dad's wishes. She insists that he knew that she, Jason and Skye don't need money and Tracy has been wanted his respect all of her life. "Let it rest," she orders and leaves.
They all calm down, but Luke tells Monica at least she got to keep the house. As they leave the room, Edward and Monica tell Tracy that they can't believe she and Luke deprived Alan of his last wishes. On his way out, Ned says that he'll reserve judgment because he chooses to believe that his mother could never have done such a thing. Dillon says, "Good role model, mom" and splits. Luke and Tracy are finally alone. Luke pulls her into his arms and tells her she's a big winner "ELQ stock or not". Over his shoulder, Tracy's face looks like she sees a ghost. And, she does! Alan is grinning from ear to ear, telling her to be ashamed of herself.
Spinelli is hard at work at the warehouse when Stan walks in and tells him that he's taking his job of handling Sonny's computers back. Spinelli recognizes something that Stan says and realizes that he is his hero of the cyber world. "I'm not worthy," Spinelli gushes and Stan tells him that there's not room in Sonny's business for both of them.
In NYC, Sam and Amelia have started doing the on-camera interview. Amelia asks Sam how she escaped the hostages. When Sam's answer is vague, Amelia presses to see if Sam's ever been forced to take action in an unexpectedly violent situation before. Sam is confused, but says that no, she has no past experience with anything like it. They take a break and Amelia reaches over and touches Sam to tell her that she's doing great. Sam is shocked by what she sees on Amelia's wrist. It's a diamond encrusted watch like she used to have.
Nikolas finds Emily and asks how the will reading went. "Tracy forged the will," Emily matter-of -factly says. Emily says that she wasn't surprised. And the family fought, just as she thought. She smiles and tells Nikolas that she felt her father's presence in the room and he was nudging her to put her foot down. She said if felt like he was urging her to keep the traditions alive, so she did.
Carly and Jason have made it to the judge's office in the Dominican Republic, in the same room where she got her last divorce from Sonny. The judge calls them into his chambers. No matter what he reads from the papers that they submitted, Carly objects to the wording. She doesn't want it to seem like Sonny used his kids…she doesn't want it to seem like Sonny manipulated her….etc. The judge stops her and says that he can't proceed with the divorce at this time. It turns out that the laws have changed down there and that now he needs a signature from Sonny.
